A little background: After surgery for nerve pain in my neck (two vertebrate fused) I continued to have problems. I was prescribed pain killers including opioids and Lyrica and nothing was working. I was then referred to a pain management clinic which did injections, nerve blocks, ablations and I was prescribed additional controlled narcotics. All the while they seemed to be focused on setting me up for a spinal stimulator trial. In fact, they got the approval from my insurance before even trying the blocks and ablations. I felt like the goal of the treatment was the implant and I didn't feel comfortable with their line of treatment. So it was time for a second opinion. Fast forward to Dr. Moroz. He agreed to see me and asked for all of my previous MRIs, CTs, physical therapy, etc... When I arrived for the appt it was obvious he had done his homework and was familiar with my history. His approach was let's deal with the pain, and not worry about what had been done in the past. It was history and couldn't changed. After a thorough discussion he addressed the pain simply by prescribing a prescription strength NSAID and cold compresses. No opioids or other pain killers! Two days later I was without pain. He also ordered another MRI to rule out any other issues or complications... which showed no additional problems. Today I had a follow-up appt via phone (I was offered in an office, video or phone appt) and we discussed follow up options. Since I was no longer in pain, he did not recommend any additional treatments, which I loved. His only goal was that I was in no pain! To say the least, I am super impressed with his knowledge, treatment, bedside manner and staff. See him before you have surgery! You could possibly save yourself weeks or months of pain and significant amounts of money. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten a second opinion before the first surgery, which may have resulted in no surgery a all! While I'm at it. Let me also recommend the Doctor who referred me. It might not make sense on the surface, since he is a dermatologist. But I've seen Dr. Jason S. Reichenberg for over 15 years and trust his advise explicitly. So, if you need a dermatologist, he's the guy.

Dr STOKES WOULD NOT SEE ME IN HIS OFFICE. THERE WAS NO INTAKE, THERE WAS NO 'BEDSIDE MANNER'. THE WOMAN WHO CALLED ME BACK SPENT 10 MINUTES TELLING ME WHY HE DID NOT SEE ANY POINT IN MEETING WITH ME. I'VE BEEN ON 80MG OF Hydrocodone since 2000. In January, my primary care said he wanted to turn me over to a 'spine specialist'. First I saw a Dr. Church at Capitol Pain Institute, who was a dream. We were titrating down to 60mg... Dr Church was compassionate, caring and he LISTENED and researched my condition. After that, the OWNER of CPI, a dr Shockett said he fired Dr Church, slashed what Dr. Church has as my current medications by half, and did nothing whatever to HELP me. Did not recommend surgery, did not suggest therapy. HE TOLD ME HE DID NOT EVEN KNOW IF I WAS REALLY IN PAIN. I AM in pain, but I'm more concerned with continuing to live, and be able to WALK. I don't want to be bed ridden, as Dr Schokett has left me when he apparently changed my history? Some other surgeons just recommended fusion surgery without looking as deep. (2) He pulled up a 3D spine model on his large iPad and showed us the anatomy of all the parts and what's causing the pain. I can't overemphasize how helpful this was to our understanding. It's a far cry from a static illustration, or even a handheld model. (3) He spent a lot of time with us and we never felt rushed. (4) His P.A., Katie, similarly spent a lot of time with us, wanting to know everything about T's problems and health history in order to get a full picture. The only problem was that we'd returned some of the new patient paperwork by emailing back a PDF (that they haven't yet put on the web), to the LVN, and the LVN emailed back that he got it and entered it, but when we arrived at our appointment, staff insisted repeatedly that it wasn't in the system...until they eventually found it.

I saw Dr. Gregg Vagner for three operations: a ganglion cyst removal and two cubital tunnel decompressions (left and right elbows). Unfortunately, none of these operations led to the outcomes I hoped for. I understand that surgeries carry risks, and bad outcomes can happen. However, having three unsuccessful surgeries in a row left me questioning his skill and approach. After the cubital tunnel surgeries, I developed subflexion (dislocated ulnar nerves) in both elbows, which will now require corrective surgeries. In my opinion, this complication might have been avoided with more thorough evaluation before and care during the surgeries. I believe careful evaluation before, during, and after surgery is essential to reduce risks like this. Additionally, the ganglion cyst was not fully removed, and it eventually grew back larger than before. Post-operative care was another area where I felt let down. I expected clear guidance on recovery, minimizing scarring, and rebuilding strength. Instead, I received a single sheet of instructions with very little detail. In my view, a more better recovery plan could have led to better outcomes. After three horrible experiences, I would not trust Dr. Vagner with any future procedures.

She was pretty much restricted to her bedroom and upstairs area due to pain and immobility. Dr Blaise gave us good news and was very upbeat. He didn't order more xrays and called the ER to look at their xray imaging, seeing a hairline fracture and possible trauma to the nerve causing numbness in her foot. He didn't need to do any surgery, suggested a much smaller hinged knee brace or Ace bandage, crutches optional depending on pain tolerance. My wife could get around much easier than with the immobilizer and managed the pain with simple Advil. She was getting more mobility by the day. After 5 weeks, Dr. Blais gave her the OK to drive but continue gradual use of the leg for the full 8 week period and she would be good as new. My wife and I highly recommend Dr. Blais. He is very friendly, encouraging, and practical. His examinations of the affected bones and joints are very thorough to verify the extent of injury accompanied by xrays. I noticed a button Dr. Blais was wearing on his lab jacket which was pictures of his family. A good ice breaker!

I was referred here by a friend who was going through a similar injury as mine. I still did some…read moreresearch but With Two herniated disc and a third one in my lower lumbar, and in hell for 6 months I tried this place. I have not been heard about how much I am I pain I went here because of the "spine specialist" info and some reviews. I have already paid for CT scans, chiropractic appointments, X-rays, PT therapy and among so many medications prescribed I was at my wits end. I had my eval appt and waited over an hour to be seen. They told me my CT scan wasn't exactly enough info they needed to help me and told me to get an MRI for further recommendations for surgery or PT care. My insurance wasn't going to cover a second imaging so I paid $400 for the MRI and had to pay $150 for Dr to tell me to get an MRI to get the best possible path forward. I agreed- They called me for a follow up on my results and made my appt. When I arrived, I was checked in and after siting for 2 mins they called my name. I was very slow getting out of my chair when they called my name again. I apologized for being slow to get to the desk and they just said I had to pay $150 for the follow up appointment because I didn't have my deductible met. I said I don't have that money; I was just here a couple days ago and need to discuss follow up. They told me if I can't pay in full I have to reschedule. I was so upset. I was missing work, in pain and I asked to bill my insurance or something and they said no to reschedule when I could pay. This was a scheduled follow up to discuss a test they made me do to be able to get any additional care from their providers. They didn't offer any assistance how to pay towards my visit, just that I can't pay so I had to leave. I called my insurance when I left and they told me a claim for my follow up visit would have been covered, this was strictly the clinic refusal to not file the claim. I won't reschedule. So I went to see Dr. Hardy and, sorry for the graphic photo but it's really not that big of a deal, within oh I don't know 10 seconds he had diagnosed and we had decided on surgery. I had the surgery Tuesday of last week and not only was it the simplest outpatient procedure in history but funny because the doctors funny, and from which I have recovered all but no exposed wound in the shower.
