READ THIS. this guy is a rip off, especially for his custom builds, ill analyze one of his builds and compare what he should charge as well as what could get for what he does charge, his "dominator build", lets start with the cpu, while it is an i7, its only a quad core and is 7 years old and not overclock-able, next, the ram, only 8 gb is barely cutting it for 2019 even for usual home use, not only is the amount low, but the ram is ddr3, we have had ddr4 for 5 years at this point, with ddr4 you can have more ram, and faster ram then the old ddr3. with the storage, there is only an ssd for booting, while many people like this, im fairly confident that the hdd is going to be 5400 rpm while the base for 2019 is 7200 rpm, the windows key is cheap, still windows, but you can get keys for 10$ from places like kinguin, next, gpu, there is none, you CANNOT game on this "gaming computer" with no dedicated gpu you will barely get 30 fps on minecraft considering that its using a 7 year old cpu integrated graphics (built into cpu), and finally the power supply, 500 W is barely enough and even more so that its most likely not even 80 plus certified (meaning its not efficient). i happen to buy computers and flip them to resell as a hobby, i usually buy with IDENTICAL specs to this one for around $250, he charges $1300, for 1300, i build the following: ryzen 7 2700x (newest from amd and performs 43% better than his cpu), 16 gb ddr4 3000 mhz (operates at twice the speed and twice the capacity as his) nvidia rtx 2070 (an absolute power house of a gpu, will play literally anything in 4k and eat virtual reality for breakfast), a nice high quality motherboard you can overclock on, 1000W 80 plus gold power supply (more than enough), 1 tb of nvme ssd, nvme ssds are the fastest money can buy, instant boot, instant application opening, in a top quality case with top quality fans, the difference between his 1300 build and mine are insane, its not just a slightly better buy, its SIGNIFICANTLY better in every possible way, his "performance boosts" are just enabling intel turbo , i offer a more personal experience and have higher build quality. and i dont only build i do any and all computer repair for a way lower price, he charges 150 for a windows reinstall, i do that for FREE, dont go to this guy, email me at jonescolin321@gmail.com if you want computer help, i do most repairs for free and love helping people IMPORTANT EDIT: he may be violating 2018 Minnesota statues, consumer protection, chapter 325D section 44 subdivision 1 part 9 by advertising higher quality then he plans to sell read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Going to Austin is so much better than dealing with the big box stores and the BS. I had a virus on my laptop and he was able to clear it out while I waited! It took less than 20 minutes. The quote I got was much less than the other quotes I had gotten and he stuck to his quote of just $99 flat. He removed a total of 17 viruses and had me out of there in about 20 minutes. Just incredible. I would highly recommend Austin over any of the big box stores. I've referred at least half a dozen people in the last few months and they've all had good experiences too. My brother bought a gaming desktop from him and it's been absolutely excellent. I can't even talk to my brother anymore without him bragging about how awesome his new computer is. Kind of annoying, but then again I'm used to it. I came to Austin with a very serious issue with my laptop. My hard drive was dying and another shop told me there was no way to get my data. Austin looked at it and said that it was indeed bad but he'd be willing to try to recover it. It took him several days, but he recovered absolutely all of my data! Not one precious photo lost! I'm so glad I hadn't taken what that other shop had said at face value and got a second opinion. Now as for the computer, he replaced the hard drive and put all my data back on it and it's faster now than the day I go it. I got my data back and got my computer fixed for much less than buying a new one, and I couldn't be happier about it! I'm going to refer all my friends to Austin. He's the best. read more

I've been doing business with Austin for years, so when he asked me to sign up at Yelp and write him a review I was more than happy to help him out. I own a total of 3 computers, all of which have been serviced by Austin. My daughter bought a computer from him and it's just been wonderful for her. It's fast and wasn't very expensive either. Austin knows what he's doing and his turnaround time is amazing. He may not be the cheapest in town, but do you want the job done right or do you want it done cheaply? My business computer went down and I needed to get back up ASAP. I didn't want to have to buy a new computer so I called around a couple of repair shops. Austin was the only one that answered the phone. He got me in and out of there on the same day and my computer works great now. He had the parts in stock and got it done while I waited. Price was reasonable and the service can't be beat. I would highly recommend Austin if you want good fast service. I can't say that I enjoy computer problems, but it was pretty painless to get it fixed. read more
