Bob the Owner came to the house last fall (2016) and met us, and we liked what we heard. He promised our pool would go in early in May. In February we went to the store in Austintown, met Bob and his son and finalized the deal on an $8200.00 pool and heater. As promised, the guys came to dig and the pool went in without a hitch by May 20th. The crews were professional and personable. As soon as the pool was finished we noticed water collecting around the heater and the pool level dropping an inch every two days. Worried about a leak, I texted Bob several times with no answer. Finally, he texted someone would come out the next day (2 weeks ago) Nobody has showed. I texted a couple more times because Bob never answers his phone....no replies. I called and left a message asking him to call...NO RESPONSE !! He was responsive right up until we paid him the last $6,200.00. Now he is nowhere to be found. Piss poor follow up! I think I found my leak (a loose fitting behind the heater) so don't need him now. He is contracted to come close our pool this fall but he is not welcome here...I no longer trust him. read more

Well I got the new pool liner installed tonight. Before taking the old one out I looked for the hole and it was a split right on the seam. I used this company to install the original pool and liner but they couldn't be bothered with it when I had an issue. Told me I am an irresponsible pool owner and that's the only reason it had a hole. The pool was installed in July of 2023. Speaking from experience never go to Austintown Pools & Spa. had a pool installed a few weeks ago. Owner was on site. Not the friendliest guy in town, especially since we are paying customers. Quick work, but or post caps came off the very next day. (4 of them floating in the pool). Also, hasn't finished putting in the water bond he was suppose to get. Called numerous times and left messages with the store and owner's phone. Still waiting....they have horrible customer service. Once they get your money, they are out of here. I heard so many excuses that the owner was busy with other responsibilities, but that's not my problem. Your paying customers should be your priority . I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not even to put in a birdbath. read more

Bob installed a pool three years ago. Two weeks ago the pool began gushing water. The store did not return any attempts at communication. Finally after a week of running the house 5 hours a day to keep it full, as were we instructed another walls do not collapse, an associate who was supposed to file a warranty claim patched the hole. The store would not share any of the information to file the claim ourselves and when. I called to check the claim the store had given us misinformation on the warranty. The store still is not communicating with us and we have tried going into the store, text, and phone calls. we were also told not to patch the hole as it would void the warranty. Today when when we went to the store the associate stated that the associate who patched the pool did so incorrectly and that it avoided our warranty. That associate have us the correct information to register the pool and file the claims ourselves. At this point we attempted to contact the owner again asking for advice and a meeting without a response. I spent thousands of dollars to suffer from poor management and dishonest business tactics. I will be consulting with a consumer law attorney and filing a claim with Better Business Bureau. Save your money and use a reputable business for your pool needs. Do not use Austintown Pools and Spas unless you want to waste THOUSANDS of your hard earned funds. read more

We are first time pool owners who bought our pool here last season in 2016. Everything when well with the install and they came to close it in October. We were out of town when it was closed but everything seems to be in good order. The problems started this year when in mid April the winter cover fell into the pool due to the weight of collected water and fall debris on top. To be honest I understand it's my fault for not thinking about that over the winter. But now it's too late for that.. I called the pool company right away and they were very condescending about it. Told me I should have had a winter pump... no one ever mentioned that before not a single upsell... anyway I let it go i just needed help at this point.. they told me to get the cover out and try to get any debris I could our for now and they would be starting to open pools the first if may (in two weeks) and I would be on the list... well first week of may and no sign of them I called made sure I was in fact on the list.. they said I was.. Ok mid may no sign of them called again now they acted irritated at me... I'm the one with the problem but whatever.. end of may I called again and was assured that they would be at my house that week... at this point I'm very upset I'm stressed out about it and just want to start work on it.. it's bad the water is black my liner is stained and I have a TON of debris in it! And now tadpoles-_- I know I'm going to spend a few weeks of the season just trying to make it useable again I just want to get the process started.. I fully expect to pay for the services I don't expect anything for free but I'm astonished that they don't care they are apparently not in business to make any money. Anyway the guy assures me they will be out in the next 2 days... no sign of them. So I called again requested to speak with the owner he wasn't in so I left my name and number and said I would like a call back. The employee assured me he would text him the message right away.. no one ever called. So I took my business to Burnett pools and am finally getting some help I wish I would have called sooner to get the early open discount but at this point I don't care I will give Burnett all my business from now on.
