I bought a heater from them 9 months ago. After installation it started making noises. Called service and was someone would come out and look at it. No one ever showed up. Find out on my own what the problem was. Then it had water coming out of the side of the heater. Called and text service. It's been 2 weeks and no response from them. So I looked at it on my own and found a broken drain plug. Found out that Paypak has been having problems with the drain plug breaking and is covered under warranty. I went to Barnett's and told them what I found and needed the drain plug replaced. They told me it was my fault it broke and that Raypak was not having any problems with the plug. It cost me $27.50 for a new plug that should have been covered under the warranty. I will never deal with Burnetts again. They all so love to sell you chemicals. And I all so found right down the road is a pool store called Leslie's that are great to work with and aren't trying to sell you every chemical in the store. After at least seven months of back and forth and a deposit, the company drained my pool and then called ON THE DAY they were supposed to start repairs to tell me they would not be doing the job. They would be subbing it out to someone out of state who would not be in town for several weeks. This left us with an empty pool that we cannot use for the rest of the summer and very little options. They literally had over seven months to tell us that they were Incapable of doing the job. Unprofessional, Dishonorble & Uncaring. read more

Sold me $300 of chemical to help with my water. Didn't help at all. Said it would help take care of my chlorine levels but didn't. Still need to add 6to8pounds of shock. Optimiser is a joke read more

They're very friendly, but frustrating to deal with. The web site says they do liner replacement, and the menu options on the phone even offer it. But after talking to someone for several minutes about my liner, I realize she's wanting to sell me a whole new pool and says they don't do liner replacements. WTF? read more

Well I am totally pleased with the Canfield store and all of its fine staff. I have dealt with several pool companies and believe me, Burnett has them all beat. The manager, SISSY, has bent over backwards to please my wife and myself---successfully. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. All of my questions and concerns were addressed to my satisfaction. The neighbors and friends I recommended Burnett to were happy and satisfied. When I go in the store I really feel that everyone is out to please me. I am very satisfied and happy with eveything. When I dealt with the SERVICE dept I was just as pleased. I had special circumstances and they were dealt with quickly. Count me as a loyal returning customer. They EARNED my business. read more

Customer service is non existent! Attempted for 6 weeks, in person, online and voicemail with no return call regarding our inquiry. Submit online request and pay $200 for a pool closing, received a same day call for scheduling. Scheduled day of closing, provided by Burnett, I called for an approximate arrival time and the "business" is closed. No call, no show. Call the next day during business hours, no answer. Every avenue possible will be utilized to notify the BBB of all documented issues, most importantly, the $200 draft and zero provided service. read more

I stopped in today to get information and pricing on a hot tub and the sales manager could not have been any more rude. She immediately started spewing facts about certain tubs that I wasn't even interested in because she didn't qualify me. I asked her to slow down so I could comprehend, you would have thought I straight out punched her by the look and attitude I received from that point. She was very unorganised and jokingly apologised that wasn't her office, then why take me in there? After thumbing through several files in a file cabinet she started pulling out 6-7 papers with tubs priced 10k and up. I told her my investment range and that made her even more arrogant as she was dressed in her Ohio State Hoodie at work. Then she half heartedly apologised again and said geese I just bought this one myself and pulled out a tub that had no wrist massage, I'd already told her that was important to me but she had no pricing for me and told me she would have to get it from her manager so I sat there silently for at least a minute with her making no attempt to get ahold of a manager. She then told me to call her in 2 days for the price instead of at the perfect opportunity asking me for my name and phone number. I rarely give bad reviews but she may have been the worst sales lady with the worst attitude I've ever experienced, not to mention she tried dismissing me with a good luck then, sorry we have nothing in your price range smart ass attitude. All I can say is thanks to Great Escape for understanding a customers investment range doesn't mean what they can afford to spend but what they would like to spend and professionally taking the time with me explaining product and pricing while I spent my money. And, they did not have even one tub to look at in the store, Great Escape had at least 20. read more

I have dealt with Burnett Pools since they installed our above ground pool 13 years ago and have always had a very good experience with them. They have always been so helpful and knowledgeable about helping me purchase the appropriate pool supplies for whatever my water situation. I had always purchased from their nearby store in New Castle, but because of the current virus situation, our PA store is closed. Therefore, I purchased from the Canfield store this season and the staff was so helpful and accomodating. Also, I really appreciate Burnett's 20% off Spring Sale each year (when buying $500 worth of chemicals). They, also, replaced my liner last year and did a very good job of that. Absolutely the worst place to conduct business with. Starting back in June we had their service team come look at my plumbing. They detected the leak pretty fast but then started to use screw drivers to listen for the leak. When asked what they were doing they replied "it's an old trick". They took measurements of the whole side of my pool telling me i had to replace all the concrete with was 18 feet long worth of concrete. They said I would hear from their service manager Rob in a couple of days. Well that turned into me calling for 3 weeks, finally I get a call back from Rob and he apologized for his people losing all my info and me slipping through the cracks. He made up for the crappy service call and sent another team out theses guys were good, when they left we had a new game plan on fixing everything and was told again Rob would call. Well that turned into another month of Mr calling and no Rob,after leaving several messages with Mr Burnett himself Rob calls. Then it turns into he really didn't want to fix my filter because it was a warranty deal. All he had to was call my company and they would pay me back. After 3 months of no Rob I called J&M pools they were at my house same day, called my warranty company the next day, and 1 week later my pool was fixed. So don't bother wasting your time here for service it sucks. read more
