One star only because the not so talented girl named Brianna that colored my hair was friendly. I am very dissatisfied with the color service. Thats not all I ask prior to service how much it would be and was told $220 go to check out and it's $280 So not only was I sent home with a terrible color service. My daughter and I went to the salon. The to get our hair done. prices were not what they appear to be online. Which I thought, hey, it's an upscale salon,I'm sure they'll do a good job. The lady that did my hair was very nice. But the job that was done was not.And they refuse to return my money. The day she did my hair, she knew she'd messed up and offered to schedule me another appointment to fix it. I took the night to think about it.And decided not to have her touch my hair again, because it was so badly messed up. This is only my experience in the salon, But I would highly recommend anybody that wants to go to this salon to do their research.It was not worth three hundred dollars for hair coloring. If you want that upscale Environment, with all that goes with it, I would not choose this salon. If I could give it a negative star I would. It was absolutely horrible experience and I paid almost $600 total at this salon for both my daughter and me. So not worth it! After the first review, I posted, I got a text message back because I left another review for a different business that did hair because they lied about the prices just like these people did. Reviews are there to help people to know where to go and where not to go.So if you have s***** service you can tell people about your experience so they don't experience the same thing. This place is nice, the staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and I have had several fantastic haircuts here. However, the one time I got color (balayage), I left platinum. It was not at all the dimensional honey gold I had imagined and discussed. It did not grow out well. Because of this, I go elsewhere. However, my mom lives and dies by this salon. I went in for a simple highlight and Wayne completely destroyed my hair. He even admitted it was horrible and had me schedule a second session with him. He still didn't fix it after the second time and I was too upset to go back to him a third time to try to fix it yet again. I looked like a zebra and they still charged me $265. ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!! Unprofessional and completely unreliable. I scheduled to have a trial and final look for bridal styling. My trial was cancelled the night before my appointment via text. I confirmed multiple times with the salon that my final bridal appointment was still in place. Today, I was called TWO DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING to be informed that the stylist I was booked with has never done bridal hair. I was asked to come in 6 hours before my ceremony instead of my original time so that the inexperienced stylist I was scheduled with could have help from an experienced stylist. No apology was given, and I was shushed on the phone and berated by an angry older woman insisting that it was better for me to come in for my hair 6 hours prior to my wedding to do curls that will be exposed to 100 degree heat. Absolutely rude and unprofessional, acted like being cancelled on two days before my wedding was "tough shit". I'm blown away by how unprofessional this experience was. read more

I've lived here for decades, tried most or all of the best salons and I've been at Austral for 9+ years. I'm not from here so I researched salons to get my hair cut and colored based on the reviews I thought this was the place for me. I explained what I wanted to achieve and received the complete opposite not once, but TWICE and shared pictures both times. I've never had to go back to a salon before because I did not like the end result. After not coloring my hair for over a year and half it's now over processed and my scalp is irritated. When she rinsed my hair with HOT water she added an additional chemical that felt like it burned my scalp. I was made to feel like I should not have come back. I explained before I left it looked orange, and the lady said "what, is it to light for you now" Not only am I still unhappy with the hair color that is brassy, but the cut she provided for curly hair was bad to. The only positive is the difference between a good and bad hair cut is a few weeks( I hope) but the lift/color has to be redone. I'll be going to another salon to hopefully have it fixed and treated for damage. I was reluctant to go back and I should have trusted my instincts. read more
