Positives: The room was avail early. Greatly appreciated after a 15 hr direct flight. We wanted to clean up b4 exploring "Harbor City"; Staff was super friendly & helpful. Mini bar items were complimentary; Good location in Barangaroo, a neighborhood on the edge of CBD. Plenty of bars & restaurants within walking distance; Negatives: Small 250 sf room. An upgrade to a 500 sf suite would have cost $180 AUD more per night; No lanai (patio) to take in the fresh air; No wand in the shower; No Executive lounge; No pool; No view for being so close to Darling Harbour; No local restaurant recs via the app like other Hiltons I have stayed at; Tiny gym; The No's (negatives), far outweigh the positives: I would not stay here again. Unfortunately, the Marriott, Hyatt & IHG properties in the area were unavailable via points during our stay, and the Four Seasons had bad recent reviews.

We checked out the menu online and it seemed okay. I'm not sure if it's a real hotel or not, but we went there to eat. When we got to the pub, we visited all three floors and couldn't find a place to sit. We decided to leave, but on our way down checked the first floor again for a table. Alas, there was one being vacated. It is a pub, and it seems to be popular for the after-work crowd. So, it's very noisy but still possible to have a conversation. We ordered the calamari appetizer; the lamb mince pie that came with mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas; and the fish and chips that also came with peas. The calamari was hot and crispy and very delicious. The fish and chips were really good. But the fish really needed some malt vinegar, something they don't offer. The mince pie was divine, succulent and seasoned just right. The best thing, though, were the chips (AKA French fries). They're probably the best French fries I've ever had. Apparently they're bought frozen, fried, and then coated in some sort of salt and seasoning before being served. I scarfed down more than my share without any ketchup (also not available). The appetizer and two meals cost about 70 Australian dollars. Probably cheaper than a couple of drinks (which seemed to average more than $20 each). We made sure to drop a 10-note in the tip jar for the very friendly and efficient staff.

I arrived at 8am, and they didn't have any rooms available for early check-in. However, they had an early arrival lounge on the 6th floor which has showers for you to freshen up, and which I truly appreciated. I've stayed at other hotels where they gave me access to the hotel gym to shower, but this early access lounge is a full bathroom attached to a small private room for you to unpack and reorganize if needed without being in the general lounge area. Other amenities include free treats in the lobby sometime (they served ice cream once while staying there), fruit water by the check in counter with individual Mentos, and you can borrow an umbrella for free. The room was clean but nothing spectacular, which is fine with me. Housekeeping occurs daily. Overall an excellent stay if you want to be nearby Circular Quay.

The conference rooms are large and was a great setting for the event I attended. I will say on day two it was quite hot and I'm not sure if the air conditioning was circulating or broken. We did have a food option at our event as well. The food I did try was pretty good and fresh! The location of this hotel is great too for those looking for accommodations! It's within a 5 minute walk of Circular Quay, and there are also plenty of restaurants around to grab a bite to eat!

Unfortunately, the water in our shower smelled pretty bad. However, the beds were comfortable and water was so kindly provided and available upon request. The hotel is located in a good location, making it accessible to walk down to the water or to uber to quickly and easily to other locations. The breakfast was the star of the show here, though. It truly had something for everyone and anything you could ever imagine. The Nutella and pancakes were the incredible! The upstairs restaurant and bar was delicious. They had a great selection of wine and great bites to share. The duck spring rolls are not to be overlooked!

They registered us in and took my cell to notify me when the room would be available if it's earlier than the regular check-in time. Our luggage was promptly stored by the concierge. Soon after, we got a notification that the room was already available, much earlier than we expected. After getting our keys and going upstairs to check out our room, our luggage was already laying there. The hotel also has a decent size gym though I must say it's not the best I've been to. They do have a very nice indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast is pretty good and has a nice variety. The best part of the hotel though in my opinion is its proximity to a lot of attractions including just a 10 min walk to the harbor and Sydney Opera House. It's located in the Rock neighborhood so lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also only a 10 min walk to George street which is the one of the main shopping and walking streets in Sydney. My only negative feedback is that the hotel seems a bit dated to me and the furniture, bathroom, and carpets need an upgrade / remodel.

Usually, I feel like the employees emphasize hospitality like always having a smile and going above and beyond when it comes to service. Hyatt has always been just that but in Sydney the hospitality definitely missed the mark. I'm not sure how Australia defines "customer service", we didnt get smiles, maps of the surrounding area or any genuine conversations. Usually the front desk agents enquire about where your traveling from and ask questions like how long are you here for etc. I did notice there was a big conference going on so they might have been overwhelmed but after visiting a few surrounding restaurants I think I'm just spoiled by American Customer Service. Nice hotel, in the heart of Sydneys CBD; I found it easy to get to my destinations like the zoo and the aquarium. So many things to do within a 5 mile radius. They didn't have a pool which was a little disappointed but overall I enjoyed my stay because I was always in the city. Not much to do at the resort which felt more like a hotel for business purposes.

After being in airports and in flight for nearly 24 hours to get from Honolulu to Sydney, we were glad that our room was available by noon, as we wanted to quickly unpack and grab a power nap before walking into nearby Chinatown, browsing shopping areas and eateries, and familiarizing ourselves with the CBD (Central Business District). Check-in was friendly and helpful, providing information about our surroundings, walkable areas of interest, and pre-cruise transportation arrangements from the hotel to the cruise terminal. Our room was clean, bright, and overlooked Sussex Street. But, hey, we weren't expecting a view of Darling Harbour since we were hardly spending time indoors. Although our room faced busy Sussex Street, we hardly heard any street noise or disturbances below us. Since we're from the US, we brought the appropriate travel plug adapter and power converter, but we also knew we could've asked for one at the front desk or guest services. The housekeeping staff were polite and kept our room sparkling, and we made sure to use the appropriate door hangers so the staff would know whether we were in the room or not when they came by during their cleaning schedule. If we ever return to Sydney, we'd not hesitate to stay here as this location is just a stone's throw (800 m or 2624 ft) from Barangaroo Wharf or Ferry Terminal, to Circular Quay (about 1.8 km or 0.621 mi), or to Chinatown (1.1 km or 0.683 mi). If you're not "walkers," you should also know that Sydney has a vibrant transportation system, including public subways, buses, and ferries.
