    Roomy room!

The Radisson Blu on Connel Street sits in a historic and imposing building in the heart of Sydney's downtown. It is within easy walking distance of the port, botanic gardens, art museum and many other sites of interest. The staff is polite, helpful, and professional. The lobby and attached bar and restaurant are spacious and nicely furnished. Our room is large, well appointed with a large bathroom that has a full bath plus a shower. Nice fluffy towels and robes in the room, as well.

Voucher showing Costs of Breakfasts, Hotel charged over and above what I had already paid-- for our spouses per room for four days @32/day.

The hotel is scamming customers, I made two reservations, same hotel, same dates, and made using the same credit card. In First Double Occupancy reservation, I booked the Radisson Blue Plaza hotel in Sydney for 3 nights for one couple, and I paid @$277.91/ per day. Hotel included two breakfasts for the couple, I booked. In the second reservation for 3 additional couples (I was taking trips with my friends- 4 Couples altogether), I booked the same hotel, same dates for 4 nights for 3 additional couples (who accompanied us), double occupancies with free breakfast, and I paid @$275.05 per day for this 2nd reservation. Even though, I paid nearly the same price for each reservation, Radisson Hotel provided free breakfast for only a single person for second reservation. As such, I end up paying breakfasts for the spouses (double occupancy) for 4 nights in the second reservation. The two contracts for my two reservations, I made, should be identical when it concerns free breakfasts, since I booked double occupancy with free breakfasts for each reservation and paid nearly the same price for both. Don't you think, hotel is cheating and scamming customers. I don't know how many of customers they have cheated so far. I will never book at Radisson in future.

I didn't book this hotel myself but stayed here for a 2-week stint in Sydney. It is very centrally located in the Sydney CBD and pretty much within walking distance to anywhere you'd want to go. It is a 8-10 minute walk to the wharf, which is phenomenal especially if you want to get out of the city center; 15 minutes from the Sydney opera house; 5-7 minutes from the Botanic Garden. My only complaint is the lack of eateries in the area that are open past 5PM. The buffet breakfast was pretty awesome in the mornings (6:30-10?AM). They have a wide selection of foods for any taste, an omelette bar, and even fresh squeezed orange juice! They also have an Nespresso machine that they put in the lobby between the wee hours of morning (I've been down there as early as 5AM) to 6:30AM when the restaurant opens for breakfast. The espresso is far better in quality and taste than the coffee they serve otherwise (at breakfast or in your room). Service was impeccable from the housekeeping staff to the concierge. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Sydney, on business or for leisure!

Doubtlessly, this hotel has the historic charm that some history buffs are looking for. (once home to the Fairfax newspaper empire and the prestigious Bank of New South Wales) Architecturally, many elements have been successfully married in here. The impressive old windows got modern fellow-windows that help with the soundproofing effectively. I was really positively surprised the busy street from the below didn't get into the room at all. Pluses - Good enough location - still walking distance from Sydney Opera House, Botanical Garden, Wharf, Queen Victoria Building, or Martin Place. - Attentive and courteous service - Simple yet elegant room decor - Spacious room - Very tall ceilings - In-room coffee and tea facilities - Good pillows selection Minuses: - The lobby stinks with cigarettes and something stuffy - The room feels damp - Small and very acoustic bathroom - There is just one nightstand - Not enough space for cosmetics in the bathroom - Not enough hangers for towels and bathrobes - there was only one hook in the whole bathroom - The TV is way too small for the size of the room - Very limited TV channels selection - Warned out towels - Chipped grout - No small milk containers for coffee in the room - The sink clogged - No toilet brush - The shower is not a kids' friendly - has no hand shower, and the stream is super strong

Loved the huge bathroom, complete wth robes and slippers

We were thoroughly impressed with this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. We stayed there because that's the hotel our travel agency booked us with. First, the hotel is nice! It is clean, modern, and organized well. The location is the best! You're like a 5 min walk from the circular quay, the Sydney Opera House, the botanical garden, etc. we walked everywhere and the hotel is in the perfect location. The staff are superb!!! Everyone from the bellboy to the front desk are courteous and friendly. We felt very welcomed by everyone, and they went out of their way to make our stay special. We mentioned that it was our honeymoon, and we came home from a day away to a personalized note and a bottle of champagne from the hotel manager to congratulate us-- talk about wow factor and unexpected! We loved our room and the big bathroom. The bed is like a cloud, and it is so quite for being in the heart of Sydney. The next time that we come to Sydney, we will be staying here!

Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.

The best part of the hotel though in my opinion is its proximity to a lot of attractions including just a 10 min walk to the harbor and Sydney Opera House. It's located in the Rock neighborhood so lots of restaurants to choose from. It's also only a 10 min walk to George street which is the one of the main shopping and walking streets in Sydney.
