I stumbled upon Mr King Barber Shop and quickly booked an appointment with Edgar (Farru) after seeing his Instagram presence. I arrived 30 minutes early for my cut, but he did not mind. Edgar speaks very little English, but this was a lot of fun for both of us as he was surprised that I spoke Spanish. The communication barrier was not even a thing for us and he told me that most of his clients are around my age, are white, and do not speak Spanish. He was happy to practice his English with me.
