Yall I came here in a crisis after receiving perhaps one of the worst fades ever seen to man. I mean I was truly on the verge of tears it was so bad. (Kind of my fault -- i asked my colorist to do it. Color came out great - the fade not so much) i walked in around 5:00, and there was no wait and i was able to get into a chair immediately. James fixed me up so well and for a very reasonable price, and we were just chatting the whole time. Will definitely be coming back! Just had a really great walk-in experience at Rob's Barbershop. No appointment needed, and still, Chris managed to deliver a better fade and trim than most booked places I've been to. Got a faded 1 on the sides and took an inch off the top. Chris is a good dude, really easy to chat with. I'll be hitting him up for my cuts whenever I'm in north Austin. I was visiting from out of town needing a haircut for an event, and I chose this shop. To start off, nobody was really greeting. I sat there and kind of waited for a cue on who would do my hair. The barber that cut my hair told me he wasn't going to cut the top (even though that's what I requested) because he thought it looked good as is. I don't believe that's a very proper way of denying something a customer is paying for. Since I was in a rush, I didn't even want to dispute further. Also, there's a sticker on the the front of the shop that says debit/credit cards are accepted. To my surprise, the barber who did my hair told me at the end of my haircut that not all barbers accept credit cards, him being included. I had to go over to the store next door and spend $3.50 just to withdraw $20. The sign is very misleading. Just wasn't worth the trouble. read more

I always have a hard time trying to find someone to cut my nephew's hair, and stumbled upon Rob's. One of the coolest shops I've been in. All the guys behind the chairs were friendly and liked to carry on conversations with their clients and with customers waiting to get trimmed/cut. Matt did an excellent job on my nephew's hair cut and I probably think it's one of the best cuts he's ever had. I think I've finally found a permanent spot for my nephew's hair cuts. read more

We arrived at around 9:15 am on a Saturday as a walk-in. There were two barbers in the shop and both had a client in their chair. The one that did my cut was the owner of the shop, Rob. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to get sat. I will say that immediately after we got there about 8 people showed up so if your coming on a weekend get there as soon as they open. Overall the customer service was good and the value was great! read more

I have now come to this place twice as I have been looking for a barber shop in Austin for a while that I can consistently go. They are well priced. The service they provide is excellent. Called in and got turned away twice here because it was too busy. They are ver bad at time management. Don't come here if you expect a professional cut. Plus some barbers accept cards and some don't which makes no sense. My friend said he got a cut by Sam who did a terrible job. Wouldn't recommend. (1/6/18) In response to management: *** In response to Rob's response, he claimed that he told me to wait after two haircuts, however that was not the case. Rob only asked me to come back tomorrow despite me calling for any openings four hours prior and him telling me 6:30pm. He was also in the middle of a haircut upon my arrival, so it's not like he would've attended to me anyways. There is absolutely no structure in this establishment, and the only reason they have so much traffic is because they can't manage the customers they receive properly. read more

I went to Rob's for the first time today. What an awesome place! People are attentive, comfortable, and totally diverse. It is casual and all the barbers seem to love what they are doing, where they are doing it. Roberto trimmed my beard. Took way more time than most barbers and was amazing. And their prices are not indicative of their talent. You can spend $40 sitting in a chair in the Domaine, or you can come to Rob's and get a superior cut for much less. And then you can use the cash you saved to toast a great Double IPA somewhere in Austin when you are finished. read more

Hands down one of the best barbershops in Austin Tx. Rob has been cutting my hair for a minute and i always leave feeling like million bucks . I'v personally tried all the barbers in the shop and all have exceeded my expectations in the quality of cuts they put out! If your looking for that blurry fade these barbers will not let you down . This spot is trash to simply put it, and only afloat hardly by these clowns friends. If your a visitor or new to the area find somewhere else. they have the worst time management skills as a business. every single employee lacks basic communication skills. They work off scheduling an appointment but don't answer text messages or phone calls and will make you wait to cut there friends ahead of you. This happened to me twice after scheduling an appointment. The place is a dump inside and the barbers do there own thing on your head despite you telling them what you want.
