I happend to go by and see the sign at OPTIMUM on 10th Street in Greenville NC and went in. WHAT A DIIFFERENCE!! I was greeted and fully explained my options by Tisha Peele. Instead of giving up she assisted me with a new phone and my trust was restored! What a knowledgeable and trustworthy person, kind and considerate. I initially purchased an iPhone 16 from this location along with a screen protector and case. The…read moresales representative quickly swiped my card and dismissed me. This is the first Verizon who did not even offer to help put on the screen protector I purchased from them. However, the real issue was they were so quick to swipe my card and dismiss me from their store that they did not even transfer my number from my old phone or help me set up my sims card. This is all while knowing I was unable to use or access my old phone. Since I had a 24hr EMS shift the next morning I spent the next few days unable to call or contact anyone until I could make it back to the Verizon store. When I returned, the staff appeared irritated and did not seem happy about providing service. When I had to return for a fourth time because not all of my contacts had transferred to the new phone they initially said I would have to spend $40 if I wanted their help. Keep in mind I had already spent over $400 at this location and had to return four different times. Safe to say this is the worst and most stressful experience I have ever had with customer service and do not recommend anyone to get a phone from here. They are quick to swipe your card and do not take the time to make sure you have everything set up the way you need.

Once I purchased a high end (Asus Rog Rapture) router, I was good. Great, reliable speeds everywhere with several devices running same time. I am future proofed too when, HOPEFULLY, we can get to 10 gb service. I am really holding out for that. But yeah, I cut the cable and enjoy near perfect speeds streaming. When I requested a tech support person, they scheduled on to come 6 days later. When I said I just got my service yesterday and couldn't test while the tech was here. She told me that is my fault. After a 2nd call and another tech told me the same thing, 6 days for service. I canceled Centurylink. I make a living working from home, I need better service than having to wait for 6 days. For now I am sticking with SuddenLink despite the connections timing out once or twice a day it is still a good internet connection and their customer services give a damn.
