I've been going to Autoair & more for a number of years now. Brad is an honest guy who's hired some great mechanics to do excellent work. Their prices are fair and they are very accommodating with schedules. I've tried most of the other guys in the area but if I send my wife in she gets taken advantage of. Not the case with Brad. he's a straight up guy who's trustworthy. I won't go anywhere else. An honest repair shop is always busy, and they are. Great job guys!!! read more

The prices are fair and a good value for the quality of the repairs. The owner takes the time to listen to the customer concerns and keeps the owner up to date if the job is not what originally thought. A great local shop that you can trust. I have used them for years for my newer car needs and for my classic car repairs. My 1955 Ford F100 is not a run of the mill vehicle to work on since being modified. Brad has always taken the time to find the correct part often taking more time to find since it is not OEM and often not even a Ford part that may need replaced. AC wasn't working, dropped it off for repair. Mike took interior apart and broke many of the plastic trim. Lost a few pieces too. Climate Control valve was zipped tied down so heater no longer worked. Makeshift repair made things worse. read more

Over the last 2 years, I have taken my own car, as well as others, to get serviced here based on the recommendation of a long time part-time resident who vouched for their honesty. This person is known for being meticulous and so I trust his judgement. The following is a synopsis of my experiences at this shop. First, their maintenance items (oil changes, filters, coolant and transmission changes/flushes, etc.) are priced in line with what one would expect them to be-not too high and not ridiculously low where they would have to make up for their cost elsewhere as happens as some discount auto shops. Second, it's usually best to leave the car in the morning and assume you'll pick it up at the end of the day if you have anything that involves more than say a basic service(such as an oil change) unless you give them a "heads up" when making an appointment so they can accommodate your "need it asap" desire. This, I'm learning is actually good as they seem to focus on diagnosing the problem accurately and not just guessing by replacing parts unnecessarily and expensively. I'd rather someone fix my car with minimal expense even if it means it takes a little more time to find out which smaller items can be replaced as opposed to just replacing an entire unit b/c it's easier to do (and more expensive) Case in point, a car I brought in recently - the A/C was not blowing cold. They took some time to figure out which electronic parts weren't working exactly and then told me the parts would not arrive till the next day . I was a little inconvenienced, but even more worried as it was an older car; I was concerned that the A/C was actually "shot" and worried that that's what they would tell me the next day. They could have just told me the A/C compressor was broken and replaced the whole thing, (I read that would be a 1200 dollar job for this vehicle) but by taking the time to test and figure out what exact parts weren't working and taking an extra day, I believe they saved me some serious money and a huge headache. The A/C now works well . They also noted that the fuel pump was leaking and needed to be replaced. The owner of the car told me it smelled of gas when this person bought it, but the dealer gave some excuse and unfortunately he got away with a dangerous con job. (My blood boils every time I think of this lowlife move so I try not to dwell on it) Anyway,they showed me the old fuel pump where someone had used a putty-like substance to temporarily fix this expensive problem either at the car dealer, or, by the person who traded in the car to the dealer. This was obviously a really, really bad day for the owner and not the type of thing one wants to hear, but by taking the time to explain what they found, showing me the part and why it needed to be replaced, it was a much easier "pill to swallow" no matter how painful it was to hear when I explained to the owner what had transpired. I read that the job could cost anywhere from 500 to 800 dollars depending on the vehicle; it cost the owner under 500 dollars. Again, it was not a day of celebration for the owner, an expensive lesson about buying a used car and getting it checked out by a mechanic, obviously yes... but it could have been a lot worse. Reasonable cost for a reasonable job. Another time,I took in my mother's car and told them to change certain fluids which I felt/thought needed to be changed/flushed. I received a call later that the coolant was tested and it was ok and didn't need to be changed. They could have just done what I had approved them to do (after all I requested it be changed) but they had the integrity to do the right thing regardless of my own ignorance. By taking a little extra time and checking things out thoroughly, they saved her some money. Finally, I have to admit that I think I know a lot more about cars then I actually do (Basically I can change the oil and spark plugs and a few other things) and so after reading stuff on line and watching videos I have a tendency to give my "expert" opinion on what I think needs to be done or what the problem is. I do it because I really think I'm helping-- honestly!! This probably...well... not probably, I'm sure... drives real auto mechanics "up the wall", but to their credit, the guys at Auto Air actually take the time to listen to what I have to say and even when they soon realize I basically have little actual working knowledge of cars, they still never make me feel like an idiot. read more
