I'm kind of pissed off because I know the owner of the shop for over 25 years and I've been going there for at least that long they repaired a water pump on my explorer which is a huge job $2,500 to be exact and when I found my axle nut loose I called to let Mike know right away he said his guys didn't do it without even asking because he says we don't have to loosen those to do that job now I'm no Ace mechanic but every video everything I research part of doing this job is to loosen the axle nuts to get a little bit of slack when doing this job and even if it wasn't he handled it wrong he could have said it wasn't us or it could have been us bring it in I'll tighten them. Instead he kept a grudge and here we are two years later where I have another huge job and denies working on my vehicle. Did I forget to mention that I used to work on cars so I kind of know what I'm talking about. So just a heads up if you still want to go back to the shop don't confront him on something that he's done wrong you'll be black balled read more

We have been going to Mikes Auto for 8+ years now. We are continually impressed the the honesty, fairness, and quality of work performed. If you need it, they will tell you. If you don't need it then they don't do it. Their recommendations/suggestions about your car are based on great experience. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I live in Port-Saint-Lucie and was in Jupiter for a medical appointment. When I started to drive my car home it made aloud rattling sound when i drove over 20mph. I found Mike's auto shop and he could see how upset i was thinking I'd have to have my car towed and getting a rental car. He took the time to put my car on alft and was able to screw a loose part back up. He was so kind , considerate and competent. Heather and Mike with Mike's Auto in Jupiter are the most compassionate people in mechanic work that I have ever met. They care about you and your situation. They do the best they can do to help. Mike has a real soft spot and will take care of you. My A/C was not always working when I turned it on in my car. Unfortunately, I was originally misdiagnosed from a former mechanic and told it was my control switch. Then, they informed me that the part was not available for purchase. I found the part online and purchased it for $150. I went to Mike's Auto and he discovered it was the blower and resister. He felt bad that I was misdiagnosed. It ended up costing more than what we thought, due to me being previously misdiagnosed. However, I was thankful and grateful that he was willing to work with me and help me out as much as he possibly could. It sucks that now I am stuck with $150 part that I am unable to return and get my money back on. Heather apologized and was very sympathetic to my situation. It was requested that I leave my car with them all day, but it was worked on and completed before the end of the day. They are also fair and reasonably priced, as well. read more

On Monday I made an appointment to get the air conditioning on my Sprinter van checked today (Friday). I took it in on time and the owner (Mike) worked on it himself. The AC wasn't cooling at all. He put in a little bit of freon and it became chilly. Because he spent only 15 minutes and used only a little freon he charged almost nothing!. (He was top rated on Yelp. ) He does both AC and mechanical work. He's the best!!! read more

I was referred by a mechanic that did my oil change to his 'friends shop' stating that I had an oil leak that needed repair. I had actually dropped it off for some other issues I was having as well. I left the car and had gone out of town for a few days assuming during that time I would at LEAST get a phone call to let me know know what was going on and proceed with any needed repairs. After 6 days I still had not received a call! I called after a week and they said oh there isn't anything wrong with your car....mind you I have definitely having issues. Then i asked are you sure???? They proceeded to tell me oh well actually we need to fix this and this it'll be $1000! I explained how I was a little put off that I had not heard anything from them in almost a week which we all know is NOT NORMAL. Mike proceeded to get an attitude with me stating how he's been in business forever and blah blah. This is completely unacceptable to me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!! Mike and crew are great and the service is exceptional. Brought my Ford truck in for what I thought was going to be an expensive repair. My boyfriend has taken my 2008 Ford Explorer to Mike many times and one thing I can say is that he's honest and fair. Just recently my car had to be towed to Mullinax Ford where I paid a $100 diagnostic fee to find out that I needed new brake pads and rotors and to replace a leaking heater hose, this is the price break down from Mullinax MULLINAX: HEATER HOSE - $567 FRONT BRAKE ROTOR/PADS - $475.95 REAR BRAKE ROTORS - $313 SWAY BAR LINKS - 416.30 total = $1,772.25 MIKES AUTO - charging me $825 for all of the above.. that's a $947.25 Price difference.... read more

Found Mike's Auto Repair and AC after searching for someone who can replace the evaporator core in my 2010 F-150. Spoke to a kind woman on the phone (whose name I unfortunately do not remember) and she invited me over to have the truck put on machines to verify that the evaporator core was the problem. After just a few hours I received a phone call back and was told that I was correct and that they could replace it by the next day. I had also called Mullinax Ford who told me they could replace it but the appointment wouldn't be until 3 months out, putting me out of AC until July, in the middle of the Florida Summer. They had my truck completed in less than 24 hours and charged me $200 LESS than the dealership. I would recommend ANYONE to this repair shop. The entire experience was fantastic! read more

I took my car in for an oil change before I was going on a road trip to Orlando. While I was in Orlando my Transmission went bad and ended up costing me 2,000 $...I called to see if my son could get his oil changed and I asked to make sure they check the fluids this time... She said yes they always check and do the fluids WITH the oil change. I then went on to tell her that was not the case with my truck and it costed me 2,000 $ because of that.. She put Mike on the phone and he started having an attitude with me simply because I said they did not check my fluids. He was very rude and said quote on quote. I cannot say enough good things about Mike's. After taking my car to another person in town and had 4 different services on it, the problem I was complaining about was still not resolved. I spoke with Helen, who was extremely professional and informative. She cared about the problem I was having and I could tell from her feedback, she knew exactly what the issue was with my car. After brining it in, Mike went WAY ABOVE and beyond and was set on finding the problem, and he did, after 5 hours of labor. But because he knew my story, he did not gouge me, and was 1000% fair!
