Had a leaking rear axle seal, prior experience told me I needed a new seal, and rear brake shoes on that side as the leak of gear oil soaked them. Got charged exorbitant amount for total labor, feel I was charged twice for a third of those hours to 'find' the problem. I understand the need to make a profit, but having observed 'mill around and bs' time feel actual repair time was inflated. If you can afford it, they have free snacks. I had recently taken my Tahoe to another mechanic for diagnostic work on an issue I was having. I was not completely satisfied with the shop's diagnosis, so a friend suggested I take my Tahoe to Auto Care Experts for a second opinion. They got me in right away, they shuttled me to work so I could leave my car there to be looked at. They diagnosed the problem, which we had thought was the issue in the first place, (the other shop recommended I replace the motor, this was NOT the solution to the problem I was having). They charged me when I picked my car up for the diagnostic time they had spent, which I though was fair. The next day I get a phone call from Auto Care Experts to let me know they had overcharged me and were crediting back my card $164.00. They could have kept my full amount and I would never have know any different. This was HUGE to me as far as integrity and honesty, and I will be taking my vehicle back for other needs for sure! read more

My stepdad sent me to Auto Care Experts when my car was having problems. I just bought a car from a out of town dealership so I had to drive out to Richland just for them too look at my car. They told me my car was good to go. A few weeks later my car was making the worse brake noise. I couldn't drive my car out of town again. I didn't know where to turn too. I went to Auto Care Experts feeling lost and furious and regretted my decision to buy this car. Alex made me feel like I was one of his own kids. Verypoor business practices, Took our Dodge truck in for estimate on Transmission problems, was given a Verbal quote of $5600 , was told they had 90 day same as cash financing, went to pick up truck was given an invoice of over $6000 , no tax was added at estimate, found out 90 days financing wouldnt cover only a partial amount , went to our bank and borrowed the outstanding amount on invoice after we paid our $1500 cash, returned next day with remaining amount, only to find out, the sales assoc or tech added invoice wrong and we now owed another $1000.00 , as a company they wouldn't adjust bill it was totally on us , paid invoice After we returned to bank, cancelled first loan and refinanced loan , very rude men would not return my first invoice because it showed that they were at fault... Also what kind of company would replace a tranny and NOT replace the worn out universal joint that connected tranny to four wheel drive , which my husband is Now replacing himself????? This place does excellent work and are awesome about checking everything, doing a good job, and letting you know what's going on, when your car is finished, etc. As a mid-twenties female I always worry about taking my car in to get fixed because When I have gone to a chain car repair place, they will take advantage of the fact that I know very little about cars and tell me if I don't get x, y, and z done then my car will be toast. Auto Care Experts is not like that at all. They are great about making recommendations about other things your car needs, but without painting you in a corner about getting it done. This place doesn't inspect their work, lies to your face, and could actually lead to your death! 2 years ago, I dropped off my 4Runner for a timing belt replacement and replace a torn cv boot. I pick it up, pay, and drive off. When I hit the first corner, there is all kinds of crunching/grinding metal on metal sounds. Upon inspecting, I see that the drivers side front brake was never properly reinstalled, and the brake assembly is held up by a bungee cord. Turn around and go back to ACE, they lie to me, and say the vehicle needed some additional adjustment, which they did free of charge. Fast forward two years...... (Last weekend) driving along (5mph), and the drivers side wheel falls off. The bolts ace used when they replaced the CV boot are standard low strength bolts, and after two years, two had sheared off, and the remaining two stripped out immediately after. Thankfully I wasn't doing 70mph down the highway. So in summary: No quality control/final inspection No honesty or integrity in the work performed Either by ignorance or cost saving, substandard material read more
