I have 2 cars I took to you. the first was a Kia Forte. Before I went to your location I called around multiple different locations and I was first quoted $20. I went and got my oil change done same day. The next time I brought that kia Tim helped me and said it was $25.99. He even made a comment saying, "wow, no one ever really remembers the price" saying it was an updated price. I gladly paid. However next 2 time I went Abel helped me and quoted me $20, with no request. I have never requested for Abel to change the price because he never quoted me $25.99. Auto "Express" might be a misnomer. I walked inside hoping to get an oil change, waited at the window and no one showed up. I asked a customer if I should drive around back for an oil change and he said that's what he did. Same result for about 7 or 8 minutes and then a worker appeared, looked right at me, and kept on walking. Needless to say I gave up. It appears there is only 1 worker and Express is clearly an inaccurate description of their service. I found out Walmart does a conventional oil change withQuaker State oil for $19.88 which turned out to be a good choice! read more

I'm a regular customer at auto express in Riverside and when I went in the other afternoon around 2:30 PM TU, I arrived and found that I was lucky and no one was there. I thought it was going to be a quick oil change and I'll be on my way. When I went up to the window the agent was on the cell phone and did not look like he wanted to be there. I told him I needed an oriole change and he didn't even greet me. He just put his phone down and started typing stuff on the computer and then asked me a couple of questions. As he started taking my information he informed me that it would be about 40 minutes to an hour before I get my car oil changed. I looked around and said "why the wait, there is no customers and no cars in the stalls.?" He replied that he had sent his only two mechanics to lunch and that I had to wait for them to come back. I asked him why he couldn't do it since he worked here. Every other time I've come here the shift manager has been involved in servicing the cars along with the mechanics. This guy seems like he just sits on his cell phone all day. He replied that he doesn't do oil changes anymore, he's management. What kind of crap is that? You don't tell a customer that you mis-managed and had to send two people to lunch at the same time?! Then he refuses to do his job?! ...or did those two guys go together so they can have a bro-lunch and possibly bring back food for the manager? All these thoughts ran through my head and I thought "what a waste of time" and I left. I went down the street to Jiffy Lube and got my oil done there and that's probably where I'll keep going. The evening shift manager at auto express in Riverside is lazy and all he does is sit there on his cell phone. If that guy worked for me, I would get rid of him - he's worthless! I say this because I can actually do 90% of any auto repair or maintenance duty myself...The other 10% I could do as well, if I owned the special tools required. Having met Cal, the owner, one day, I was so impressed by his demeanor and pleasant attitude that I started using this place for routine oil changes on both my VW Diesel and my beast of a truck. He answered my questions and I felt very comfortable there. Here are the things I have noticed over the years: They work fast They work efficiently I observed them treat other people with the same candor they treated me with Their prices were VERY fair They were completely honest, even when it meant less money for them Later, I hired them to do brakes on my VW....Done! and in less time and for nearly 40% less money than the dealer wanted to charge! The only thing that kept me from giving this place 5 stars is that they do not have a lot of room to park or to do larger repair jobs. I would highly recommend this place for any routine service or brake job. Although I know they are fully knowledgeable and capable of bigger repairs, I don't like the idea of my car being parked outside at night if I needed to leave it. Both our first time , they have a sign of you leave them a yelp review they will give u $5 off there is no exclusions in that paper but u was told u already had a $4off promo so I couldn't use it. I couldn't even use the $5 instead of the $4 off. Then while I had already checked in it said there was $15 off for first time customers , he tried to find every other offer like oh no I'll give u $8,$7,$6 off instead of the $15. He went on and on and said here I applied a $15 off and showed me on the screen but when he charged me and he gave me my receipt he gave me a $9 off discount only. I only gave four stars because I'm a skeptical car owner; when three months have passed and my car is still running great, then I will come back and add the last star. Horrible place. I went here over a year ago asking for a price on an issue i had with my transfer case on my truck... Guy told me it would be 600 to fix and an extra 275 to take it out of the truck to send it off to a specialist. I had this issue before and fixed it several years ago (I off road so it takes a beating) and it took me the better part of 1 hour to take out. 275? For one hour of labor seems ridiculous. Took my car there for a tire installation and they scratched and put several dents on my two front custom wheels. Turns out they didn't have the proper equipment that particular tires so the guy working on my car was using a tire iron to try to remove the wheels. They didn't even say anything to me when picking up the car! I didn't notice anything for several days until I washed my car. Just walk away from this place. read more

Dont get me wrong they did fix some things. But dont let them touch your power steering and rack and pinion or any hoses attached. Took it back several times and rack and pinion are supposed to be new but still leaking. Spent 3000.00 should be rolling in a almost new car but not.
