When the last car we took there needed repairs that were more than the car was worth, we considered the junkyard, but one of the other mechanics offered to buy the car for the same price as the junkyard would, but needed a day or 2 to get us cash. We agreed. Somehow Gary (owner) butted in on our deal the next day when we came to collect the money (Gary was not part of the deal). Gary stated they would pay $25 less than agreed, which was $25 less than the junkyard would. It was Gary waving the cash, not the young mechanic we'd agreed to sell the car to. When we protested, Gary said we could take the car, but they had already put the car in a non-running state in the diagnosis. Gary said to take the car or his lower "offer" right then, or he would charge a storage fee for the 2 days the car had been there. We didn't see the young mechanic. When my wife and I walked off to discuss it, an apparent friend of Gary's followed and attempted to overhear what we were discussing. We were backed into a corner, poor, and basically strong-armed into taking the lower offer because it would cost more to tow the car, and it would still be broken. We don't know what got into Gary. We'd been loyal customers for 8 years, had no previous problems, yet we were cheated. The mafia would be proud. $25 is not a lot, but to us at the time, it was not insignificant. A couple of weeks later we saw the car parked in front of G&P, apparently now repaired & used by the young mechanic who had originally agreed to buy the car. We never went back and no longer recommend this place. This place would more accurately be called G & Cheat.

I took it back because they "warranty" their work but I was told that it was the oil pan gasket and that they could do it for an additional 400. I thought that was bs so I went to get it looked at by two other mechanics that said it was clearly the timing cover. Not only that but when the other mechanics showed me the pricing for a timing cover replacement it should have only costed 500, they charged 800. ABSOLUTE SCAM (Must read) TLDR at the end if you want to…read moreskip the details. I would give less than 1 star if I could, but unfortunately Yelp doesn't allow it. Took my truck in today (10/7/2023) and there were 3 gentlemen "working." Had a loud squeaking sound coming from the front passenger side of the suspension assembly. They told me to leave it with them and they'll look at it so i said no problem and waited in the lobby for about 30 minutes. I parked my truck at a very specific angel with the wheel turned 3/4th of a full rotation towards driver side. (This is very important.) After the 30 minutes it took them to allegedly inspect the car, the same guy came out to the lobby still chewing on food and said that both of my control arms and ball joints are completely broken and need to be replaced. This alone would have made the car literally impossible to drive. he also seemed very nervous, was tapping on the desk rapidly and nervously, would not look me in the eyes, and had a nervous shaking voice. He then told me everything would cost about $1800 and that they conveniently had the parts on hand and would be able to get it done in less than an hour. I obviously told him nope and thanks for looking at it but that's completely BS, which he looked nervous and shameful. He then offered to do it for 1600 and explained the parts are really expensive (Both control arms are $212 for the highest quality ones on 1A Auto, and the ball joints are $86 for the nice set on most websites) I told him I don't want them touching my car and I'll go do it myself and asked for my keys. He hesitated, then slowly pulled them from his pocket and handed them over. When I walked back to my car, it had been parked at the same exact spot in the same exact angel and the same exact wheel articulation as when i had walked away. Absolute muppets they are. TLDR: Mechanic ate lunch while "looking at my car", didn't touch my car, and offered to replace perfect parts for $1800. I fixed it myself by greasing the ball joints.
