If I could give this place a -1000 stars I would. Today 7 May 2024 we took our 2021 Tesla Model Y in for a windshield replacement. I just so happened to check the app on my phone for my car and it showed that one of their drivers was on I-20 East at 1:03PM doing 83 MPH and even had it up to 92 MPH and also put over 30 miles on our car just to do a calibration. I called their shop and informed them, I also went straight their and went the hell off. The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful, but at the end of the day, I came here to get my windshield replaced and have everything put back the way it was from the factory. Since that did not happen, I am leaving a 1 star review. I first visited Auto Glass Now on July 30th, 2022 to have my windshield replaced. Upon completion of the work, I noticed a few things. 1) The alignment of the windshield was off. It was not centered and was not set in far enough. 2) Since it was not set in far enough, the cowl trim pieces at the bottom of the windshield were not able to be reinstalled correctly, leading the tech to have to break them to get them to fit. 3) The windshield wiper defroster did not work, so I took a look and found that the wires for the original windshield's defroster were cut and there wasn't even an attempt made to connect the new windshield's defroster. 4) There was a whistling noise at highway speeds that wasn't present before the replacement. I'm assuming this is from the misalignment of the windshield. I voiced my concerns to the nice people at the front desk the next business day and they told me they'd order/reimburse me for the trim pieces as well as replace the windshield correctly this time. I went in on August 4th, 2022 to have the work redone. Upon inspection after the work was completed, I again noticed a few things. 1) There was black adhesive on several spots of the hood. Not a huge deal since I can remove that myself pretty easily, but I don't believe it's something a customer should have to do. 2) The replacement trim pieces that I provided were broken again during reinstallation. There are tabs that slot into holes and those were broken to make the pieces fit. Again, due to the improper alignment/not setting the windshield in far enough. 3) When opening the hood, the corner of the hood catches onto the passenger side trim piece and pries it off. 4) There was debris on the dash and in the footwells after work was done. When I talked to the tech after the second replacement and told him about the wires being cut and not connected the first time as well as the other issues, he shrugged and told me, "It's just one of those things." I don't really understand what he meant by this. Once again, the people there are really nice (the kind lady even reimbursed me for the trim pieces out of her own pocket), but the quality of work I received was absolutely not acceptable. I am extremely hesitant to bring my car there a third time to have the issues remedied. On top of the rest of the issues, my rear view mirror fell off the week after the windshield replacement on August 4th. I called Auto Glass Now today and they were unwilling to admit fault even after being provided photo and video evidence of their work. This would not be such a big deal to me if they let me know of the issues up front after they did the work, but the fact that they tried to conceal the shoddy work and hoped I didn't notice is unacceptable of a business in my opinion. They stated that the issues are not related to the installation of the windshield. I don't see how they can say that when it's DIRECTLY related to their work. They did offer to reimburse me for the broken cowl pieces again, but that doesn't help me much when the pieces have to be broken in order to get them to fit, leading me back to square one. And that still won't fix the issue of the hood catching onto the cowl pieces when I open it. Spend a little more money at a more reputable shop and get the work done correctly. read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! I decided to give them a try after reading other reviews on Yelp and Google. My windshield was cracked all the way across on my Sonata and needed to be replaced. I spoke with Andy on the phone who was incredibly nice and helpful. I was able to get an appointment booked immediately for the following day, which was the soonest I was available. He advised that the windshield could be covered by insurance if it was under the $300 comprehensive plan. I don't know how all that works, so I called our insurance company. They sent over the approval immediately and we only had to pay $50 out of pocket of the $309 total! What I like most about Auto Glass Now is that they are trustworthy and transparent. They pointed out some dings and scratches on my car before they got started so that I wouldn't think they did it. They were ready to start as soon as I arrived and were finished in less than an hour. I sat in their waiting room. Daniel was the installer and was very professional and thorough. Paula made sure afterwards that I was 100 percent satisfied with the work. There was no hassle about how much was owed. They already had my insurance info filed and told me I owed $50. I really feel like I haven't had such a good customer service experience in years, which is why I wanted to take the time to recommend them. If you live outside the Birmingham city limits, it really is worth the drive for their services. Ashley works the front desk as well and is very helpful. I called around everywhere and for most of the businesses had anywhere between 3-10 days wait to replace the back windshield. Not only did Auto Glass Now offer time do it sooner, they gave me the option of brining in my car and having it done the next day or if I needed them to come out , it would be within 2 days. This is my second vehicle getting a windshield installed. This time it was a late model Sonata. Brett was great with the price options. Susan typed it up and the guys in the the back followed through. Please set your appointment know your vehicle needs and your part is done. Very friendly and fast. Seriously disappointed with them. I made an appointment several days in advance. Got a call from them the evening before my appointment because they were unsure about the exact type of glass needed for my car. The lady who called me insisted I give her my VIN# so she could identify the specific glass needed and then she said she would call me first thing the next morning to let me know if she was able to find the glass. This morning comes and I get no call; I end up calling them only to be told that the glass is "unavailable" and they couldn't do anything for me. He didn't care if I wanted to do business with them in the future or not. So I have 3 problems with them now, 1) giving them my VIN# was like an opening into ID theft and I'm suspicious 2) they never called me to say they couldn't get the glass; I had to call them only to be punted off the phone and 3) they've done nothing to ask me to consider doing business with them in the future. Do I think I'll do business with them in the future? Probably not, unless they contact me to explain. Came here after my car was broken into and the window smashed. Price was fair, service was quick, but a guy working on my car named Dave could not figure out how to vacuum all the glass out of my interior. First I was told it was ready and it was still full of glass with a door light not connected. Dave vacuumed some glass. I point out there was still glass all over the dash and the light wasn't connected. He vaccumed some glass, a little more thoroughly this time, and fixed the light. I got in the car and the cup holders were still full of glass. I was tired of waiting so I grabbed the vacuum and got the rest of the glass shards myself. It was approaching closing time and I'm sure they were in a hurry to get out of there, but come on!! Summary: great place if they can teach Dave how to vacuum. read more

I needed a windshield replaced in my Lexus ES350. Jennifer set my appointment for 11 am and said we should allow 2 hours for the installation. I walked in their office at 10:50 to check in. Another very professional lady went to inspect my windshield to insure that I had not missed anything in my description. I had informed them of my rain sensor, but I had missed something. She noticed that I had a heated wiper park area. She went back to check that they had one of those windshields. She found that they did so I began waiting at 11:10. My car was taken back at 11:21 and I was called to the front desk at 11:58 to complete the paperwork since my cars installation was finished. I was leaving their installation bay at 12:04. My times may seem too specific to be genuine. but I was doing this before I had to report for an evening shift starting at 2:45, so I was hyper conscious of the time. I am glad I was so I could give an impartial review based on facts. In my case, as with many others on here, even with a complication of my misinformation about my windshield, Auto Glass Now did indeed Complete my installation within an hour. I came back at 11:30 to find that they hadn't started working on my window and that it would take another hour. They offered no discount and were very unfriendly about whole thing. I find it very hard to believe that ANYONE could give this place more than 1 star! I spoke to Bret at the Birmingham location on 8/15/17. I told him exactly what features my car has and which it does not and he "found the windshield I needed in stock." He quoted me $279.00 + tax and said he could have someone out the next day but that I would have to meet them at the Calera Walmart. Sounds good ... after all, his quote beat the rest by almost $100! .... I found out why. He sent his tech out who started taking the rubber molding off before inspecting anything or even checking his windshield. He stopped about halfway through taking the molding out and said he didn't have the correct molding. He called the office and they told him it came on that particular windshield. He then checked the new glass which gave him the opportunity at this point to inspect whether it was correct or not. He proceeded to remove my windshield which caused much more damage to the glass than was there to begin with. He put it in the van after taking the mirror and lane departure assist parts off, and he unloaded the new glass. He then attempted to put these parts onto the new glass. It was at this point that he realized Bret had sent the wrong windshield. He called Bret to let him know who then told him he would contact the warehouse to see if he has the correct one and he would then have him (the tech) come pick it up and come back to where I sat with my 7 year old daughter and 5 month old son ... without a windshield in 90 degree Alabama weather. It doesn't end here. Bret calls me back and tells me that he is going to have to order the windshield directly from the dealer and it will cost him $600 and he will just have to eat the cost since he guaranteed me $279. He also states it will not be there until Friday morning (two days later). He told the tech to put the old, now worse, windshield back on my car and send me and my two small children home. He told me it was safe and fine to drive like that until they can be there on Friday with the new glass. The next day, Jennifer called me to ask for my insurance information because they want to see if they could help with my deductible and get it cheaper for both of us. She called AllState and had them on three way with me during which conversation she tried to trick me into verbally agreeing with the agent that I was claiming this on my insurance. I did not fall for that, and she started getting snappy and saying I was going to have to pay my $500 deductible because the glass is costing them $900 to purchase (LIES since he had supposedly ordered it the day before for $600). I informed her that I would absolutely NOT pay more than what was guaranteed to me especially since their tech took out my windshield before confirming that he had the correct windshield and that he further damaged the glass AND it no longer has the rubber molding on it. It had also started rattling like the glass was trying to come out. I advised that I would absolutely get an attorney involved if needed and asked to speak to Bret. She put me on hold and asked Bret what to do ... came back and said he said he would cover $100 of my deductible and I could pay $400. I said I would NOT pay more that what I was told ... because this had been an awful experience and he has put me in a position where I can no longer wait to have it fixed and it seems he did this so that I would be forced to pay him more. I asked for Bret again. She said Bret was on the phone with another customer. I said I would wait and she said she couldn't let me talk to him. I asked the AllState agent (who has been listening this whole time) what his name was and Jennifer kept talking loudly and interrupting and wouldn't let me tell him his name and then she hung up on me which disconnected me from the AllState agent since she had initiated the three way call. I have never been so angry with a company in my life. They put me and my babies in an unsafe situation. They have been extremely unprofessional and I will NEVER use them again! I am now waiting for tomorrow when he is supposed to have someone at my house to install my windshield for the price he quoted.
