There were unexpected issues that arose during the reassembly phase of my initial service that were thought to have been mitigated by replacement of a relay, but after taking the vehicle home I had a variety of strange error messages and difficulty with the car including such issues as unexpected enabling of the traction control system, messages to check engine that mysteriously cleared on their own, another service message that said to see the manual and required use of "limp home mode" which also mysteriously cleared afterward. I was unable to unlock the car except for using the key manually, and so forth. Upon returning to the shop, the technicians did a thorough review of the error messages and - due to a recurrence of battery related messages sprinkled throughout all the other error messages saved by the system - hypothesized that the issue was actually cascading from a failing battery. Although this was a coincidental occurrence in terms of timing, I was offered a really good quote on the cost of the battery and no labor costs for changing the battery. Since that time everything has operated perfectly. I am so extremely satisfied with the extra mile service provided by Sherrill Paint & Body and I would recommend them to anyone in need of paint & body work as they are hardworking, generous, and open about their repair process. Not to mention, the body work I initially went in for was completely flawlessly and the car was returned to me in such wonderful clean condition inside and out. I am so very disappointed Brought my 2 year old Honda CR-V in because an 18 wheeler side-swiped me. The damage was only about $3,000, so not too terrible. We picked up the vehicle and yesterday noticed paint drips on the door.I will be taking it back, and I hope they stand by their work and fix this. read more

If you want a body shop that is HONEST. Look no further. Don't even read below, just bring your car here because honesty in the body shop world is far and few in between now. Car was in a wreck. Sherrill has by far been my best auto shop experience. They don't cheap out on their work and even paid an extra day on my rental car since I couldn't pick up on the scheduled date! Work wise, their body guy managed to somehow put the aero back into my Frs quarter panel. I doubted at first but it turned out great! Highly recommend. read more

I was convinced my 2010 Honda needed a facelift. It had loads of scratches and a few small dents. The gentleman at Sherrill cleaned the scratched areas...no dents there and suggested that I think about repairing the dents. A tree fell on my car and - alas! - I had only collision insurance. We were going to have to replace the trunk hatch out of pocket. I took my quote to three different businesses, Sherrill being the first. The other two businesses were very abrupt and borderline rude when I told them I would be paying out of pocket for this repair (no big insurance check, I suppose?) but Randy at Sherrill treated me, I believe, exactly like any other customer. He gave me three different quotes of different options and prices I had to fix my vehicle. He was never condescending or hurried. When we had the work done, it was done very efficiently but they happily held my car for two weeks while we were out of town. Getting it back I was shocked - you cannot tell that I have a replaced trunk at all. The quality and price were excellent, and I will definitely be going back to Sherrill should the need ever arise. read more

I first brought my 2007 Toyota Prius in here about 2 years ago with a front bumper issue. They gave me multiple options to fix the damage and were very realistic on cost. I went to about four other body shops around town for price comparisons. Not only were they the most reasonably priced, they were the only shop that felt confident they could repair (instead of replace the bumper), described how they would do it and the pros and cons of the repair. Most shops never even offered me that choice! They ended up repairing it, per my request, and did an amazing job! I spontaneously brought it in for a second major repair to the under carriage. They did fantastic work on that and remembered everything they did the first time. The employees are very polite and extremely realistic with the cost and time the car will be in the shop. My vehicle has always been ready sooner than they project though! They have gone out of their way on countless occasions to go up and beyond for their customers. I highly recommend them!! Personally, I won't be using any other body shop in Birmingham. read more
