This used to be a regular place for my husband. I used to go to buy. I needed a window replacement made appointment but unfortunately, I had to be away for work and called to reschedule. They were very nice, but I had gotten a nasty message the same day from one of the guys. stating that I was basically wasting their time and that I needed to go directly to the store to make the appointment and not over the phone because the schedulers are what he said "dumbasses and don't know what they are doing " after I heard the nasty voicemail I never went back. My windshield cracked down the middle yesterday after I got off work around 4PM. I called Auto Glass Now about 30 minutes later and was able to get an appointment at 8AM this morning to have it replaced! I was upset when I found out my car insurance currently didn't cover full replacement of the windshield. However, I got it replaced in an hour for $175 plus tax. I couldn't believe it and either could my insurance agent. The business was very clean and every person I encountered was helpful, cheerful, and had a smile on their face. It was a nice day out so I told them I was going to sit outside and they said to go ahead and take a chair out with me. Couldn't have had this happen more quickly and at a better price. I chose this company because of the high reviews on the Internet. I completely agree. I will recommend and use them in the future if I need to! read more

Short Version: They are incapable of keeping their own appointment (first one of the day!) and you find this out when you pick up your "finished" car to discover it has not been touched yet. One reason why this happened is because a tech benched the car because he didn't like where it was parked. Detailed Version: You can either be a walk-in customer and wait or make an appointment for a promised start time and length of service. Made an appointment for 8:00 AM right at opening the next day. Hand the keys off and the tech sees where the car was parked in front of the building. He didn't like the car parked there and throws a toddler's tantrum shaking his head worse than a bobble head moves when hitting every pothole in Cedar Rapids. Gut feeling then was to go get the keys but, shame on me, gave them benefit of the doubt. 75 minutes later into the 90 minute job the phone call comes the car hasn't been touched and four unscheduled walk-ins were serviced first. You can complain but their apathetic reaction is masked as an obligatory apology with the non-committal offer to reschedule. Not willing to gamble more lost work time I get the work done at Safelite instead. In all fairness, I can recommend the NE Cedar Rapids Auto Glass Now if you have one of the following pre-qualifications: 1) You have free time to spare and/or need to burn off unused paid vacation time 2) You've worked out ahead of time where to park in order to keep the vindictive chip off the tech's shoulder by not violating his pet peeve 3) You want the least expensive 3rd party glass and feel superior knowing you get what you pay for 4) You're unemployed with no interview scheduled for the week 5) You're tired of feeling happy read more

My husband got a bad crack on the windshield of our Nissan Pathfinder. In shopping around and pricing various replacement companies, he came across Auto Glass now!! Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they were significantly cheaper than the competitors! My husband had his front windshield in his Volvo replaced back in October of 2017, which he paid for (not insurance). Based on price and location he chose Auto Glass Now in Cedar Rapids. Last Thursday he went out to his car to find his rearview mirror had fallen off. He called the shop and they told him it happens all the time (defective products) and to bring it in and they will reglue the mounting bracket back on. After 30 mins at the shop they were not able to do so, bad glue or inexperience of the tech prevented success. Then they stated they would have to warranty the windshield out and replace it. Which they stated the replacement windshield would be in by the following Monday. Well Monday comes, no phone call. Husband calls them now they are stating that the glass is now special order and will be take up to 10 more days to get. Husband asked if he can take to a different shop just to see if they could glue the rear view mirror back on due to safety issues without a rear view since he travels for work all the time. Bob Kimbel the regional manager states that would be fine and if it works they will reimburse for the cost of the work. If it does not work, no worries windshield is being warranty replaced anyway. Well the other shop glued the bracket on and was able to get the rear view mirror on temporarily but it caused a small crack in the windshield. Husband was just happy to be driving legal and safe again. However now Auto Glass Now states the warranty is void after ok'ing the temp repair due to the crack on a windshield they already ordered a replacement for under warranty, makes no since, in regards to honoring a warranty or offering good customer service. Husband is an insurance agent and now knows where not to send his clients for auto glass work. They will use any excuse to void your warranty, in our case even after ordering the replacement windshield under warranty and ok'ing the temp fix on the rear view. The original issue of the faulty rear view bracket was what was warrantied, who cares if the glass has a crack in it now, was junk anyway under the warranty. They are inexpensive, inexperienced and untrustworthy based on our experience, you get what you pay for. read more
