Similar to other reviews, this company NEVER SHOWED. NEVER CALLED to let me know that they were not showing. do not do business with them. go somewhere/anywhere else. I called the company in the middle of the day to confirm since i had not heard from them. I was told repeatedly that they would arrive. When it was nearing the end of the service window and the end of the day and they still had not shown I called once more, at which point they finally told me that they had been waiting for the part to show up and that maybe it was backordered, but they didnt know when it would arrive. I had to prompt the customer service person to reschedule the repair despite there being no chance of the repair happening in the limited time remaining in the day. laughably bad customer service. avoid at all costs and save your time and money read more

They did $2,000 debate to my car they refuse to raid responsibility for even though I have video evidence. I filled out a warranty. I sent pictures and videos. I got estimates. I fed everything they asked. They put tools on my hood and roof. It rolls down my hood. I had to have them come 3 times to repair the windshield. Do not use!!!!. Easily the most idiotic customer service experience I've had in a long time... (and I rarely write negative reviews, I get it that things happen). But after giving them 6 chances to try and fix it - still nothing... how many more? I had an at home appointment scheduled - windshield too damaged to drive around. They didn't show up. Apparently they messed up 2 service tickets as there were 2 vehicles to be serviced but I guess that's somehow hard to manage... Well, from then on, 6 calls to customer service over a 9 day period with the same response over and over: "error on the ticket" (not mine!), "someone's gonna call you to schedule" (no one ever did); "the district manager's gonna call you" (Waltham office) - 3 such promises, never did. Wasted 9 days waiting for someone to deal with basic scheduling... unreal. read more

They gave me a 8am to 6pm window for windshield replacement and sensor recalibration. so I needed to take the day off. The day before I got an email narrowing the window to 8am to 2pm but was told that I would get a call "first thing in the morning" with an ETA. That call never happened.. I called in to find out and nobody ever got back to me. The company didn't show up within the service window. When they finally showed up, they replaced the windscreen and at the end told me that they don't have anybody to do the recalibration and to ignore all the sensor warnings that were going to go off. I called to get that sorted and now need to wait another week limping around because they don't know how to do their job. Mercedes of Boston (Herb Chambers) send me here. These guys were out at my house within 24 hours of me making a claim through Allstate. I was totally happy with the scheduling, service and work done by their office and tech - I think his name was Edwin but don't quote me on it. Missed the first appointment, then did not tell me that they had to recalibrate a week later. They broke all the clips connecting my rearview mirror to the window and won't return my calls. read more

I walked in to inquire about a rock chip tepair I was very surprised and happy they squeezed me in and fixed it right away I was in and out in a half hour all the employers were extremely polite and helpful would highly reccomend. read more

Followed the instructions to have my car towed to replace some warrantied parts, and they waited 4 hours after I told them the tow would be arriving to tell me they "never received the car." Long story short, they assured me the car never showed up and was not there when it was in the lot exactly where the tow truck driver had been instructed by the Nissan valet to park it. I spent 2 1/2 hours thinking my car was lost or stolen because no one had the courtesy to double check if it was in the lot. Very frustrating and disappointing. read more

The Herb Chambers Porsche dealership in Burlington referred me to Modern Glass when my windshield got cracked. Modern Glass came to my house to fix the windshield. When I got into my car the day after my windshield was repaired, there were a lot of small pieces of glass (pea size) on my dashboard. In addition, the inside of the windshield had a film of something all over it - and had to be cleaned because it was so dirty. I've had a number of windshields replaced over the years (as a result of commuting into Boston on route 1), but have never had such bad service. read more

Inefficient and disorganized. They are contracted with my car dealership so they can offer poor service and get away with it. Worst car windshield experience I've ever had. Never again. Shame on Herb Chambers for getting involved with this business. Absolute disservice to his customers. Over 2 weeks for an install. I have been dealing with Modern Auto Glass for over 11 years and have found them to be very consistent. In my line of work I have the opportunity to refer clients for automotive glass replacement and repair. Hundreds of my own satisfied clients along with 3 or 4 of my own windshields have been quickly taken care of by this Co. On the rare instance that there has been a problem they have been very responsive and corrected it right away. It is comforting to do business with a Company that stands behind their work. It is even better when the workmanship and Service is as good as this. They will bill your Insurance Company Directly, accept all Insurance Company pricing and will come to you no matter if your car is at home, work or at a repair facility. read more

After he come he can't find the toll truck to send my car of service. I found I toll truck and I sent the car to Pep Boys Everet. Awaiting one week for authorize the car check control . Every time when I call only the customer service answer the phone And I asked to speak with somebody all the time these people is in a meeting After the service check the car maybe the car can be Total lost. . The same day with the car go there .Nick Egrious Want to change my windshield again but Mercedes Burlington doesn't permit to change it because they dosent have my consent. Next day The adjustmen from my Insurance Company check the car and he told the car is totally lost. I have 10 day waiting for this company to call the insurance company and nothing happened I have one month no rental car and no iformation .I speak with my lawyer and I think so I can sue This company I don't suggest to nobody to go there to fix his car read more

I waited a long time at the dealership to get a windshield replaced in my Honda Accord. But boy it was worth it. the serviceman was excellent. When I asked him if I could watch, he said sure why not. We ended up talking thru the whole process. I found out he owns a Honda also so I just knew he would be doing his best job. Pat at Modern Auto Glass could not have been more helpful when the windshield cracked on my brand new car. She worked with the dealership to replace the glass and dealt with my insurance company, which was not easy since I was in town from another state. She rushed the order to make sure I would be able to get home to NY on time. Great customer service! Strongly recommend. read more

First time we've ever had to replace a windshield so don't know how other companies handle it but I couldn't have asked for better service than Modern gave us. Their callback response to the initial voicemail was really fast; their service agent set up a three-way call with our insurance company that moved things along incredibly quickly; & they were able to do the work two business days later. That went quickly too & the windshield looks great! read more
