Took my car here for a front bumper repair, a small dimple with paint missing from someone backing into me. When I got the car back, it looked nice but shortly the paint started to peel. I took it back showed them the damage. They apologized gave me a loaner and told me to come back the next day, it looked good but then six months the paint was flaking off again they fixed it and told me that this time it shouldn't be a problem yet now a year later the paint is starting to flake again. I can see maybe one return time but I not three times. I won't do business with this place again. I can only assume corners were cut and steps were missed. My only option now is to take it someplace else and pay out-of-pocket to get it done right. read more

I had great communication with these folks with a new auto repair that needed to be made on my daughters vehicle from damage that was incurred by the moving company that moved her to Salt Lake City from Indianapolis Indiana. I was very disappointed when it came time to pay for the vehicle to get fixed. The auto body shop would not take debit card or credit card but the moving company had a delay in paying my daughter. The body shop would not take a personal check when I was only given direct deposit from the moving company for the check. With her bank being still in Indianapolis She could not go get cash and they made her go to Smiths grocery to get a money order. I was willing to pay with a personal check but they would not accept that and they would not except a debit card or a credit card unless they charged a 3% fee. I found this to be extremely non-communicative and disappointing as a new person to the state of Utah. She will think twice about going back here for this purpose alone. I sure hope they have good warranty work if need be after I make this post. Just a big disappointment for her read more

I was in a minor accident on New Years Eve. I had my car towed to Auto Menders to have it looked at and hopefully fixed. I was told that the parts that were needed to fix the car wouldn't be in until 1/19/22. The insurance adjuster went out on 1/12/22 to do his review and it was estimated to be 9 days to repair. My daughter came in to get her car door fixed as I was out of town during this time. As a professional in this area (I have my own body and repair shop that also deals with insurance, and have been working in this field for 24+ years) this place charged her extremely over what the repair cost should have been. She was charged $9,000 where she had to pay $900 out of pocket. The cost for them to repair the car door cost more than the price of her entire car, and to top it off, they kept her car for ~3 months without even offering a replacement car in the interim. As someone who has been working in this area for 24 years, this is EXTREMELY unprofessional. The highest she should have been charged should have been MAX for $4,000. That is the absolute maximum based on the damages that was done to her car. My daughter is a young adult, and I truly know that they took advantage of her and her situation. After I heard about how much my daughter was charged, I went to speak with the owner to share my concerns and he was not understanding at all and to top it off, he was nothing short of rude. He even used profanity multiple times and told me to, "Get the F out". I even tried to reason with him and meet him in the middle somehow and ask they not charge her the $900, but his response was a laugh in my face and he said, "Ill get the last dime of that money". It was truly mortifying that a family member of a recent customer would be treated this way or in fact, any human being at all. I feel it is my civil duty to share this information so that others are aware of this establishment and how they treat their customers. Steer clear of this shop and their unprofessionalism. Take your business elsewhere, you will not regret it. read more

Poor quality work, and upon returning for the "lifetime guarantee", I was accused of damaging the vehicle in the location where the poor work was completed. Then in the same sentence was told "I fixed it for free". The "free" work still did not fix the problems. I brought my truck here because of the good ratings, dont be fooled! The reason I'm reviewing Automenders is so you have the information about this company and how they treat customers. If I would have read about Automenders prior to going there I would never have left my car with them. They look to intimidate, play games and lie about what was repaired. I was misled, lied to and called a liar. My experience their way of operating is to intimidate, blame and humiliate a woman rather than be accountable for their work. I was told they would take the bid I had from Abra and make the repairs and any additional repairs they found would be submitted to my insurance. I have a 2004 BMW, while driving to Spanish Fork form SLC I hit debris on the road, which caused severe damage to the undercarriage and right axel of my car. My insurance company actually referred me to a repair company by the name of Abra. Abra prepared a bid of for repairs based on an actual examination of my vehicle. Automendors had my car for approximately one week. When I picked up my car I drove it home, parked it in my garage. I examined the front bumper underneath and noticed a huge scrap in the paint. Since I had just driven from the shop home I called Dan. Dan told me to bring it in and he would look at it. They repaired it for me. However I told Dan my car was still shaking really bad and floating on the road, which it didn't do prior to the accident. He told me whatever it wasn't from the accident. I made an appointment with my mechanic. The right front axel and boot were damaged and required repairs. I told my mechanic it was from the accident. Brett contacted Dan at Automenders; Dan indicated that this was not something that would have happened in the accident it was normal wear and tear. So, I had it repaired. However, I had pictures taken the day of the accident right showing plastic from the undercarriage impelled into the right axel boot with oil or grease oozing out. Also, Abra's estimate had the repair of the right axel and boot on their bid from their examination of the car. Dan refused to acknowledge that this was part of the accident not just "normal" wear and tear. When I talked to Dan he told me they had already lost money on my repair by fixing the paint scrape that was my fault. I also asked him to look at the grill on the right bottom it was coming out. Dan told me just to push is back in, they are likes legos and you just have to push them together. The part has fallen out and I now get to have it fixed at my expense. To date I have had to fix at my expense the right front axel, sway bar linkage links, align the car (their repairs included an alignment, but never done), new tires, rotors and breaks. Don't make the same mistake I made. Have a company that will stand behind their work and repairs not just a section on the web that states, "Lifetime Guarantee on all Services provided".
