The only reason I went to Auto Shine Car Wash (ASCW) is because my friend gave me a coupon for a free car wash and it expired within 2 days. First, I'll back up here and give you some background info. Auto Shine Car Wash is formerly, Royal Oaks Car Wash. Same location, different name, but now new ownership. The old signs are still up, so it's kind of misleading. In the past, I had read the reviews of Royal Oaks and friends had confirmed the poor reviews, so I had already crossed it out of my mind and continued the search as my poor car continued to accumulate the crumbs from my kids' snacks and the never ending blankets of pollen. My friend had gone to the car wash under its new ownership and obtained this free coupon and assured me that the work was much better, so with a free coupon, what did I have to lose? When I arrived, ASCW was packed. There was a line of several cars to be washed and there was a team of guys busy working away at the end stages of the service. When you drive in to the property, you have to drive to the back of the lot and line up by the lady by the little booth. Basically, the back is the beginning of the process and the front is the end of the process. A little backwards, but it makes the most sense. She collects payment (or in my case, my coupon) and you leave your keys in the ignition. You get out and go into the building (which will be the back) and you walk straight down the hall where the right side is lined with windows all the way down so that you can watch the cars being washed in the car wash. You have the option to either wait inside in the waiting area or you can go outside on the patio and wait there where there are several Adirondack chairs for you to bask in the sun with other car owners. You can watch the team of guys finish up with your car (drying and any other extra services you have purchased). Overall, it seems like the new ownership knows what they are doing as they own several other "Auto Shine" locations in other areas like Hinesville, Garden City, Savannah, Rincon, Statesboro and Whitemarsh Island. The company has definitely made some improvements already at the Richmond Hill location. There were some guys that seemed like leaders of the team and they run a tight ship! They were making sure all the cars were getting done and that the production line was flowing. I left with a clean car with great service. The guy who was wiping down my car was so polite, calling me Ma'am, like who you callin' Ma'am?! I'm not old, wink wink, but I guess I have to get used to the southern way. He did forget to wipe out my cup holder on the side of my door, but no biggie. Overlooking one spot is easy when the car hasn't been washed in awhile like mine LOL. He must have had to put some extra elbow grease on it! I'm not going to knock off points for one small spot. The main thing they need to do is change their actual sign to reflect the new name and new ownership, so people who were turned off in the past get a renewed desire to try out the car wash again. I'll definitely be back because my kids refuse to stop snacking and well, the pollen is unreal here. Tip - The guys in the back (where you first start the car wash) do not get the tips like the guys do at the end), so consider tipping them too! read more

Amazing! My car was covered in dog hair and needed a good love bug scrub (I couldn't get them off myself). Took it here for the deluxe package and my car looks and smells brand new again. Thanks guys!! Totally worth the $33. Will definitely be back. read more

Auto Shine Car Wash - Prices - Car Wash Near Me - Richmond Hill, Georgia

I will preface this review with the fact that I don't think I've ever left a review below 5 stars on Yelp.... I brought my car to be detailed last week as I have multiple times a month since before it was bought out and turned into Auto Shine Car Wash. Upon leaving the car wash an exterior body part flew off of my car onto the highway. I immediately called the car wash as soon as I noticed to try to come to some sort of remedy (not even 6 hours later) and sent them pictures. After the female manager whom I spoke to reviewed the pictures, she called me back and said that my car had been double sided taped together and there are clips that typically hold it in place and that that was not their fault. She went on to say they wash my kind of car all the time and have never had that issue. I was dissatisfied with the customer service, told her that and hung up the phone and ordered the part online. Fast forward to yesterday when the Ford Manufactured part arrived and it does in fact use a double sided adhesive as well as clips which by the way are still attached to my vehicle! The whole issue could have been resolved easily. It was a $50 part shipped and their instinct reaction was to place blame on the customer and manufacturer, not the fact that they were rough on the vehicle and dislodged the piece. So, instead I'll leave this review so other future/current customers are aware of the risk they sign onto if they choose to use your service in the future. The damage they cause your vehicle will some how be your fault and you will be out every cost with no remedy what so ever. read more

Well...... it may be slow getting to the car wash end of the line, but at least it's 30% more expensive than Savannah Car Wash just down the road. The basic wash (no price displayed until you are trapped in line) is $29.99 vs the exact same product at Savannah Car Was for $19.99. Not sure they can get it 30% cleaner?? read more

Since it is local went to Auto Shine in Richmond Hill today. Waited in line for half an hour. Cars behind me left because of the wait. Since I had time to spare, decided to wait it our. Wondered about the price since all the price options were blacked out. Finally when I reached the attendant I asked what was the problem, equipment down? She said no, just slow. Slow! Three cars in front of me, half an hour! Asked about pricing, was told $29.95. Have tried Auto Shine in the past, not a great job, especially for Thirty Dollars. In the future I will use a coupon, go to Savannah Car wash and get a far superior job for $19.99. Needless to say, I turned around and left, they will never see my vehicle again. read more

Not a huge car wash person, but I went to the one in Richmond hill I just got a basic package but went on a slow day and they did a full detail and got every piece of kid crumb and dog hair out. I was there for almost 1.5hrs, I was headed to goodwill next and due to the extra time the owner offered to make the drop for me. Everyone was friendly and courteous. My car looks amazing and they did a great job. Highly recommend especially for the price!!!! read more
