The shop is run by the owner and his family, often his wife is working the front desk. It is close to state job locations as well as the FSU campus. The owner usually works on your car and is a straight talker, he will tell it like it is good or bad. He will also take care of you if another shop has taken advantage of you. My best experience was when I went to Super Lube for an oil change and they unplugged my evaporator hose, which led to some engine problems and my check engine light coming on. I took it to Rising Sun and he called the Super Lube location and gave them an earful. In turn, Super Lube not only refunded me for that oil change, but the Rising Sun owner made them pay for my repairs that they caused. What other car repair shop would do this for their customers? Also, I would pick up my car from the usual service and it would have something else fixed for free that I did not request, like the huge dent in my bumper had miraculously disappeared. I truly wish that there was a repair shop like Rising Sun in every town, but I have yet to find one in the Tampa Bay area. In Gainesville, there is Aersi.
