Great experience! Kevin very honest about what needs to be done, and doesn't recommend unneeded repairs like other places do. He did exactly what I asked him to do, and spent some time troubleshooting. My car is old (2010), and the parts needed were not available. So he assured me it was safe for me to drive locally, and didn't charge me anything. I would definitely send friends and family to Jowers. The only down side was parking. read more

It's great to find an auto shop that you can trust to take care of your FSU student. One phone conversation with Kevin at Jowers and we knew this was a place we could trust. My son took his car due to hearing an usual sound. He is planning to drive home to Texas for Thanksgiving. They did a thorough job of making sure his car was road worthy by checking the fluids and completing other visual inspections -- all complimentary! Jowers Auto Service has repaired my 2004 Saturn Ion on two different occasions. The first time the car was running hot and the second time it had a problem with the circulation actuator (clicking noise in dashboard). Honesty and integrity. Pretty much their business model. Had an issue with my a/c. They replaced the compressor and guaranteed their work. Unfortunately this didn't fix the issue. I had to move out of town before I had a chance to bring it back in. A year later when I moved back to tally he still honored his word and fixed it for good and for free. Let me start by stating if there was an option to leave ZERO stars that is what would have been done. These guys are CRIMINALS they install used/damaged parts are new part prices after they damage parts during removal. Not to mention leaving my car without any coolant when i picked it up. I am greeted with a "god damn that car is fast" when i walk in to pick up my car... So all in all here are the damages done to my vehicle during its stay at this dog shit establishment... my gates kevlar timing belt was replaced with a offbrand advanced auto brand and was not properly timed afterwards being 10 degrees off. They damaged my oil pan to the point it was unable to be reinstalled and when they asked to replace it with a NEW! oil pan i was unaware i would be paying $500 dollars for a rusted, dented and poorly sealed oil pan. My boost controlled was set at 30+ pounds of boost instead of the 15 psi it was set on when dropped off. All in all these guys deserve to be shut down. Truck broke down making a terrible (and expensive sounding ) banging in engine. Kevin and crew diagnosed my problem as a blown plug rather than blown engine as I thought. What could have been big bucks $$$$$ was very reasonable $ . Honest and fair pricing doesn't sound right for an auto shop but Jowers manages both. read more

Have dealt with Kevin in the past, hes a comes across as a great guy,but after refering a good friend it wont happen again. The labor rate is on the high side, but then its compounded by the charged time. My friend went in to have a alternator replaced, and was charged nearly $450. With online research, and calling a personal friend who does automotive work in Jacksonville, I realized the price was about 40% more than average. Save your money, and at least call around... read more
