BE CAREFULL, The cars this company uses are unlicensed pepoel carries. He does alot of pick ups and drop off. Would never use a unlicensed hire company you as a passanger have no insurance. read more

It also seems that they used a link on Viator; however, booking directly on the website seemed cheaper. + Communication was clear and well laid out on where to meet the drivers. They were especially helpful during an issue that arose when arriving at Heathrow and the driver having issues meeting us at the assigned meeting point due to increased activity at the airport (apparently it was a popular bank holiday I chose to travel on) +Cars/vans used were clean and as advertised +Drivers arrived on time and were friendly + Price - Honestly, it was relatively reasonable, especially given the fact it provided for a smooth travel day for my traveling companion who would have issues on the Tube/trains even without luggage Tips: + When making your booking, make sure you set your pick time for an hour and a half after scheduled arrival time to provide a buffer time to make it through customs and retrieve your luggage if flying internationally. +Make sure to be honest about your luggage that you are traveling with and abide by their rules, especially on shared rides. I would use their services again if I find myself needing them.

WARNING: VAN HIRE GENIE Do not use this company. Fraudsters…read more Booked and paid in full for vehicle. I suspected something was odd with this company after booking and not being able reach them on the phone and so I informed my bank. I then went to their office to see if the company exists. Met Nadeem who gives a false sense of confidence. No show with vehicle on Christmas Eve, even after confirming the delivery time the day before. Waited for 3 hours past the delivery deadline. We called all the numbers on their website. Called the mobile number ( 077122 568 868) the person who answered claimed it was a wrong number and then the phone was turned off. We e-mailed and had no response. Three hours after the delivery deadline, with no 8 seater vehicles available with all major hire companies, we had to hire a taxi for a 4 hour journey on Christmas Eve. Even after a no show, VAN HIRE GENIE still tried taking the security deposit - luckily I had informed my bank of the no show. On 26 December 2017 I received an initial e-mail saying the vehicle and driver had waited outside my house for hours. I phoned and spoke to Nadeem and advised him that this was a blatant lie. I then received another e-mail saying they had not been able to collect the security deposit whilst the vehicle was enroute and had therefore cancelled and kept my money as a cancellation fee. Booked a 17-Seater minibus via an Early Bird Special for 2 weeks in October to take a group of American friends on a tour of the UK (Rental Agreement VG 2456). Some say "you get what you pay for," but with this company, you don't even get that! Van was delivered as promised, but had a faulty side door step and a warning that AdBlue would be required in 387 miles. Our driver questioned this and was told not to worry, we had plenty of miles to drive before we needed to ad it. We drove no more than 125 miles and broke down on the side of a busy road on the FIRST day of use, when driving from London Heathrow to our first accommodation in the Midlands. Recovery Service was through a subcontractor and took nearly 3 hours for someone to arrive after dark! Imagine 10 women (aged mid-50's to early 70's) stuck on the side of the road with no facilities! Van Hire Genie had no means to communicate with them after hours. Once I could reach someone the next morning, I was told they had to get their vehicle back from the recovery service to see why it broke down BEFORE they could do anything. They expected it around noon. Later I was told, they still did not have the vehicle and would get back to me the next day. This next day was also when our group needed to check out of our 1st accommodation and drive to our next one in Wales. Van Hire Genie never called, would not answer my calls and would not respond to any of my emails. While they have many more vans in over 100 locations in the greater London area, they basically REFUSED to provide a replacement vehicle. I paid for a vehicle for 14 days and had use of it for 26 hours! We were forced to spend even more money to rent another vehicle from a reliable company to be able to leave the accommodation we were no longer authorized to stay at and continue our "trip of a lifetime." NINE (9) days AFTER the breakdown, they offered NO Compensation, but now offered a replacement while the other van was in for repairs. So why couldn't they have done that right away?! Obviously, I requested a refund, but weeks have past with no resolution and most of the time they refuse my calls or don't respond to email. In the rare occasion I get a response, it is again an empty promise to contact me the next day, but nothing happens. This company can be relied upon to provide you a poorly maintained vehicle and poor to no customer service once you get. There are many other reviews on other sites with people having similar experiences. DO NOT HIRE FROM VAN HIRE GENIE!
