I recently purchased a used 2017 Subaru Forester and wanted to share my experience so others can…read moremake a more informed decision. To start on a positive note, I did appreciate the way the initial sales process was handled. The salesperson allowed me to do most of the negotiation over text and email, which gave me time to review and think through the deal at my own pace without pressure. That was easily the most comfortable and beneficial part of the entire experience. However, once the process moved into financing, my experience changed significantly. My wife and I were among the last customers at the dealership that evening while staff were beginning to close out. During the financing process, we were presented with documents to sign both physically and digitally, but there was very little time spent reviewing a clear breakdown of how the final price was structured or how additional products were affecting the total cost. We were given a total amount, but not walked through how items like GAP coverage and the service contract were being applied to the financing. The digital signing process also felt rushed, with limited opportunity to carefully review documents before signing. It wasn't until after leaving the dealership and reviewing the paperwork that we realized the total cost had increased well beyond what was originally discussed. I had negotiated to stay around $15,500 out the door, but the final amount ended up being over $18,000 once everything was included. I understand that I share responsibility for reviewing documents before signing, but I do feel that more time and transparency should have been provided, especially when optional products significantly impact the final cost. Additionally, after the sale, communication became very difficult. What could have been resolved with a simple explanation, such as how to handle warranty concerns directly through the provider, was not clearly communicated. This led to unnecessary frustration and additional time spent trying to figure out next steps on my own. After reviewing everything, I chose to cancel the GAP and service contract products and handle future repairs independently. That process was completed through the warranty provider. While I appreciated the flexibility and professionalism during the initial negotiation phase, the financing process and lack of follow-up communication left me with a negative overall impression. Because of this, I would not return for future business. My advice to others is to take your time during financing, request a full breakdown of all charges, and make sure you fully understand how optional products affect your total cost before signing anything. Overall, this has been a learning experience, and I hope sharing it helps others approach their purchase more informed and prepared.

Not so crazy about how they handle insurance claims even when if the other drivers insurance pays them, they still take money from you first. Overall, my experience has been stress free. Meaning, its a number one priority to ensure that consumers are satisfied, this creates trust, consumers spread the word, ( via the internet, good or bad). Overall experiences matters the most. People may like the sound of the idea of Flexcar, nevertheless, Flexcar must ensure that no one invests into a vehicle that's be altered( for instance, speedometers) People are only allowed to lease a Flexcar accordingly to its drivers history, right? So its apparent that when someone gets a notice from Flexcar saying they're driving 100 mph over the speed limit, its questionable. Research studies proves that (manufacturers) including specific dealers that insist on maintaining its own service, insurance, offers perks, etc., often sets speedometer in vehicles to appear as if its going the actual speed limits while its computer systems are reading higher (above the speed limits). There you have it, hidden perks thats in place to take advantage of unsuspecting individuals. Honesty is the best policy. Likewise, when Flexcar has hidden agendas, it takes advantage of honest citizens and at the same time, hinders one's clean driving history records. Always research, ask for the vin numbers, research it to find out the true value, and condition of any vehicle prior to taking on financial risks brought on by others. They would not like it at all if they were flimflammed themselves . I don't know, on one hand, the idea of Flexcar is good, on the other hand, in order to promote its' brand, Flexcar must not only appeal to its targeted audiences, it must be well capable of delivering. It's one thing to advertise, another to practice what you preach. Much similar to lobbying/campaigning, consumers expect trust. Bottom line, the best ideas for building any type of business is to place ( morality) as the number one, ( top) priority. Always remember (understand your audiences), know exactly what they want, ( most importantly) as regarding to it's individual needs /financial status and learn to build trust by evaluating each individual and this would most definitely allow anyone who has an idea of starting up a business as long as they ensure from bottom to top their plan satisfies each individual, satisfied consumers are happy consumers and happy consumers creates happy business leaders, loyalties across the board, people are tired of being scammed .

They sent me 6 emails and screenshots with different amounts because they have poor record keeping. They were essentially making up numbers and shaking me down. Wife assured me it did not. They showed me the output from the ODB scanner that showed everything was OK across the board. A day after taking the car home, with less than 50 miles driven, the engine light came on and the car started stalling out when idle. A visit to Mall of GA MINI revealed about $4000 (95% of the actual cost of the car purchase price!) of repairs that are immediately needed. Now, not getting a mechanic to look at the car before I purchased it is on me. But I can't believe that the owners had no idea these issues were present on the car when I purchased it. Beyond having to fork out double what I paid for the car for repairs, I'm just bummed out that this nice couple were not honest about the condition of the car when I purchased it. You are always suspect of used car salespeople, and these two unfortunately reinforced those suspicions.
