I recently purchased a used 2017 Subaru Forester and wanted to share my experience so others can…read moremake a more informed decision. To start on a positive note, I did appreciate the way the initial sales process was handled. The salesperson allowed me to do most of the negotiation over text and email, which gave me time to review and think through the deal at my own pace without pressure. That was easily the most comfortable and beneficial part of the entire experience. However, once the process moved into financing, my experience changed significantly. My wife and I were among the last customers at the dealership that evening while staff were beginning to close out. During the financing process, we were presented with documents to sign both physically and digitally, but there was very little time spent reviewing a clear breakdown of how the final price was structured or how additional products were affecting the total cost. We were given a total amount, but not walked through how items like GAP coverage and the service contract were being applied to the financing. The digital signing process also felt rushed, with limited opportunity to carefully review documents before signing. It wasn't until after leaving the dealership and reviewing the paperwork that we realized the total cost had increased well beyond what was originally discussed. I had negotiated to stay around $15,500 out the door, but the final amount ended up being over $18,000 once everything was included. I understand that I share responsibility for reviewing documents before signing, but I do feel that more time and transparency should have been provided, especially when optional products significantly impact the final cost. Additionally, after the sale, communication became very difficult. What could have been resolved with a simple explanation, such as how to handle warranty concerns directly through the provider, was not clearly communicated. This led to unnecessary frustration and additional time spent trying to figure out next steps on my own. After reviewing everything, I chose to cancel the GAP and service contract products and handle future repairs independently. That process was completed through the warranty provider. While I appreciated the flexibility and professionalism during the initial negotiation phase, the financing process and lack of follow-up communication left me with a negative overall impression. Because of this, I would not return for future business. My advice to others is to take your time during financing, request a full breakdown of all charges, and make sure you fully understand how optional products affect your total cost before signing anything. Overall, this has been a learning experience, and I hope sharing it helps others approach their purchase more informed and prepared.

They have not returned my phone calls when they messed up my car. They are incompetent and nothing is alleged. I have video audio texts and they still don't want to make it right. So now I have made it my mission that everyone will know. From Tik Tok Snap chat IG. They are the most unprofessional dealership i have ever gone to. How do you admit you messed up the oil plug tread then decide you don't want to fix it even though you agreed to because it was your incompetence. I will leave a review every week until I get justice. I will stand outside. I will bring the news. I will have a content day at the dealership. To take advantage of a young college student is insane. Then you tried to blame it on another dealership. If anyone wants details I'll make an account nurse to post and show you If you are looking for a used car there's another dealership right across the street

This program is a huge financial risk and honestly feels like a money grab…read more The insurance provided is state minimum coverage. Even if the other driver's insurance accepts full liability, you are still required to pay the deductible--either $500 or $2,000, depending on the plan you chose. I strongly advise against the $2,000 option. Once you report any damage to the vehicle (which you are required to do within 48 hours), Flex immediately bills the deductible. If it's not paid right away, they will repossess the vehicle. If you're considering Flexcar, be prepared to have the following funds available at all times: -Monthly payment averaging $780+ with taxes -Accident deductible of $500 or $2,000 (If you're in an accident during the trial and can't afford all required fees--such as the deductible, membership fee, and swap fee--you risk losing your initial payment. And having the vehicle repo. The fees can total over $1,300 within just two weeks. If you opt for the $500 insurance plan) -Vehicle swap fee of about $180 -Membership fee of about $249 after the two week( billed once a year) -Limited mileage, which adds more pressure -No grace period for payments. When you add all of this up, if you have this level of money to give Flexcar, you would be far better off saving for a down payment on a traditional lease and carrying your own insurance. In my opinion, Flexcar is not worth the financial risk.

HIDDEN FEES!!…read more Despite saying "everything is included" and "no hidden fees", you're hit a $250 membership fee upon pick up due 2 weeks into the rental. I thought my total cost was $500 -- the membership fee increases the fee by 50%. The only reference to the membership fee is in the membership agreement which is super hard to find and doesn't even say how much the membership fee is -- just that there is one. I'll be returning the car before the fee kicks in and will lose two weeks of what I thought was a month's rental. If the membership fee were at all reasonable or fair, they wouldn't have taken such pains to conceal it. The car also smells bad and the mats and pedals are so slicked with Armor All, it's hard to keep your footing.
