!!!!ATTENTION!!! I would strongly caution any family considering purchasing a vehicle from AutoMax in Del City to do your homework and be extremely careful. Purchased a vehicle from AutoMax in February 2026 and was told everything was fine and they'd send the title paperwork to our bank after we were approved for financing. Then our 60-day temporary tag expired, and we still had no title or registration. For nearly six months, we repeatedly contacted AutoMax, and went into the dealership multiple times trying to get answers. We were repeatedly told it was not their fault and that there was nothing they could do. After many trips to the DMV and bank, we finally discovered the actual issue was AutoMax had never properly transferred the title into their own name from the previous owner. The title was still in someone else's name entirely. The issue that prevented us from registering the vehicle for MONTHS was caused by the dealership not completing their responsibility before selling the vehicle. BUT- what is most disappointing is not just the mistake because those can happen. What is unacceptable is the complete lack of accountability afterward. Once the issue was discovered, AutoMax refused to help remedy the situation or take responsibility for the late fees and problems caused by their failure to handle the title correctly and because of this, our family was unable to properly use a vehicle even after we had already paid for it. We missed out on summer activities with our children, planned trips, and a vacation because we could not legally drive a vehicle we own. Dealerships have a responsibility to make sure the vehicles they sell are properly documented before putting families in situations like this, and I hope other families see this review and ask every question possible before buying here. I am super disappointed in myself for falling for their scams here!!! I knew from the start this was a bad buy but my husband wanted this particular truck so off we went to test drive. Right away we noticed no floor mats & the only key they had to offer was a valet key. Once we hit the highway my husband noticed a growling sound coming from the front driver side once you hit 55mph. You could also feel a little vibration in the pedals and wheel. The "salesman" said oh yea, its a wheel barring. Bring it back in a few weeks and we will take care of it. Should have walked away then, knowing better. Two days in to our newer truck and crawling in to bed when the truck auto starts by itself in the driveway. We quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the door thinking someone was stealing the truck to find no one in it. The Ford key pass was set and wouldn't allow that key to go over 80mph or turn the radio over volume 13. We called a locksmith the next morning and had to pay $250 for the key pass to be removed and to get a key fob so we could access the remote start features. I knew we would have to eventually spend the money but i had just given them $4000 down on top of $350 floor mats. Whatever, it was my fault for not negotiating better. Drive the truck a few weeks and bad weather rolls in. My husband tried putting the truck in 4WD and it makes some clanking noises and loud bang before engaging. Then it wouldn't come out. It stayed stuck on 4WD for about 7 miles before finally switching back. Call these yahoo's to schedule a date to fix, they tell us then we need to pay the deductible to the warranty we purchased although our "salesman" said if you bring it back to Automax they waive that fee. Of course he is no longer employed there so. They supposedly fixed the wheel barring and they claim they tested 4WD but couldn't get it to mimic what happened when we did it so there is nothing wrong it. The icing on the cake is that the growling noise and vibration is back only one week out of their shop. Did they even look at it? They did say they can't account for what the original salesman told us but they did waive the diagnostic fee. I have literally just made my VERY FIRST payment on this truck and now having to take it to a Ford dealer and pay ANOTHER $250 deductible to get the issues resolved. I would just avoid these guys at all cost. They don't give two craps about anything but making a sale. They don't care about customer service or how they treat people. read more

So car with price tag on it of $6888 is actually is actually $9000, and they have the nerve to put on main page of website at top middle, " no hidden pricing". Do not take your car to this service center. They replaced my plugs and coil 8 months ago and said if the check engine light came back on I would need to replace the catalytic converter. The light came on and I called to find out cost and was quoted under $1300 so I had my car towed there. I had to call back twice the next day to find out anything and then was quoted $6089.72. I told them that I would come get but had to find someone to help me. They never said there service department was closed on Saturday and when I called the General Manager he stated the keys are locked inside and he does not have access to them. I said I can get it later and get the car and he said it is inside too. They said I have to wait till Monday to get it out. General managers usually have keys so I don't believe this. Poor customer service, bad management and they will try to rip you off. He even said it's the catalytic converter so don't trust them with your car unless you like giving money away. read more

Bought a 2019 Ford focus from them. Our salesman was great however the car we bought never went thru the make ready dept. How do I know? The car wasn't cleaned, found a knife in the back seat among other things. Oil needed changing, etc. Plus, when driving back home had to stop and fill up and then the car wouldn't start. Purge valve solenoid wasn't working. Going to cost about $300 to fix. This all sild have been gone thru before it was even put on the lot!!! This is a typical dealer. We were interested in a 2020 Sonata and was paying cash. We asked our sales person (who I won't mention) for the rock bottom price that we could get out the door as a CASH BUYER. He came back with a price and said that's the best they could do. We looked online and found that their "internet price" for this exact same car was lower. We asked them about it, and of course they said they could give us that price. That was red flag number 1. The car comes with added floor mats and cargo net. These items we NEVER purchase since we get our own. I asked if they could remove those items and have the price reflected. They said no that it has to come with the car. These are FLOOR MATS (and overpriced ones)! Has nothing to do with mechanical or safety. And these are added features just for additional markup. So, they want to charge for something we will just throw out and never use. Lastly, they push the fact that they have a "mandatory" $599 document fee. First, a "document fee" is a dealer markup for pushing a few buttons on the computer and sending it through for batch processing and storage. The only mandatory fee consumers are REQUIRED to pay are tax, title, and registration. In Oklahoma, the average "document fee" is $299. Anything above that is just profit for the dealer and can definitely be compensated by lowering the price. We've even bought cars with NO document fee. If you're told they can't remove it or are not able to negotiate it, you're being lied to. The catch is that these dealers want you to finance through Hyundai because they make a huge profit by you doing so. They're banking on people who don't know, and I'll just say that I'm VERY familiar with how these places work and I educate people online about this very same stuff. The managers are usually pretty good actors. They'll put on a show like they are looking out for you. They're not. They're in the business of making money. Fair enough. They will sometimes say something like, "Okay. You win. My loss, but it's important that you're happy." Nope. That's a lie. They will A dealership will NEVER sell you a car unless they're making a solid amount of money on it. Period. I ended up getting a LIMITED edition of the car at Billingsley Hyundai in Lawton for around $800 more than what this place was going to charge me for an SEL Plus, and only paid a $299 document fee, and had them NOT include the overpriced floor mats and cargo net. Found a 2017 suburban for an amazing price online. High mileage but still only 24999 , i put in an online app. The dealership called me and i verified the price and set an appt. I arrived and was greeted by a hostile young salesman named Angel . He actually grabbed a paper application from me and tore it up. I asked to speak to his manager. He informed me he was not there. I was at this point highly agitated, but there detail manager came over smoothed the situation at. Abd got me to the suburban. Starting fresh with a new salesman, i explain to him i put an app online and told he the advertised price, he says he would have to check with his manager. The finance manger obviously changes the advertised price to 5k dollars more. I asked them to show me the online application i put in that showed the true price ; finance manager hems and haws, but won't produce the application with the right price. Honestly the suburban was worth the 30.499 and if that had been the advertised price; i would of bought it. But i told the F.M. and the second salesman who was a good kid, that i would not be doing the bait Nd switch game. And that they shouldnt have dishonest business practices. And i left. Called the day before and the morning of my appointment to look at a car. Got there and asked for that salesperson. He finally showed up and took us to the car. Then he had to go find the key, and a thing to jump it. Came back and the key wouldn't work. He messed with it a while, said it wasn't the right key. Never really made an effort to go look for the right one. There was damage to the vehicle that wasn't shown in the pictures. I don't know about anything else because they never came up with a key to unlock the doors so I didn't even get to sit in the car. If they had wanted the sale, somebody would have gone out to look at the car and make sure it's ready to be shown I would have bought that car most likely. I had money in pocket and was gonna splurge! Well I guess I'm gonna splurge somewhere else because they didn't even try a little. Wish I had read these reviews first. Would have saved nearly 6 hours driving time. Natasha stopped helping me after I asked a question. Ashley didn't even bother to show up for the appointment and Brian couldn't find keys and seemed to stop looking. I don't know what has changed since she no longer works there, but the people you now deal with suck....big time! The salesman Reggie seemed in a hurry to get me to purchase. Said they only had 1 Tucson in stock, didn't offer to see if other dealers had any either. Bought it on 12/5/2022. My payment on my old was due 15 days later. They still hadn't sent payoff, so my bank charged me an insufficient funds charge. Then when the second month rolled around, they STILL hadn't sent payoff....another insufficient funds charge. At least when they did send payoff, there was enough to cover 1 of those charges. I was also told by Tammy that I would be receiving a check back from the Gap insurance coverage since I had the vehicle less than 2 years and even tho the vehicle had over 3,000 miles on it when I bought it, it still had less than 30,000 on it when I traded. She said it normally took 8 weeks to get that money back. Well it's been 13 weeks, still no refund on the Gap insurance. I called to see what was going on and after being on hold for 45 minutes with Tammy, I hung up and called back. She had the receptionist tell me that she had emailed corporate/accounting but they hadn't responded. She wouldn't talk to me herself. I (cash customer) would like to give 0-1/2 a star since I was never helped. I originally set up an appointment to see the red 2013 Chevy equinox. I showed up 30 min early (all the salespeople were there ready to pounce) and was told that it was being detailed and was not on the lot. I had to drive home. They let me know the next day that it was on the lot and just as I arrived I was messaged that the engine had to be replaced. Since I was just about there I went ahead and talked to the front desk and let them know I was here to at least find a close replacement. after 45 minutes on the lot, no one came out to help. I see now after 4 days the price dropped by $750 and was sold. I've never seen treatment like this from a business wanting to sell a car. Horrible. Hyundai's have a 100,000 mile warranty. But the whole car is only 60,000 Miles. I had noticed an oil leak around 50,000 Miles. When I finally got a chance to go in, I was at 58,000 Miles. Whew! Still covered. So I take it in to AutoMax in Midwest City to get the leak looked at. I was told that the only leak was from the oil pan screw washer. So I thanked them and left. I've replaced the oil pan screw and washer twice and no change. Still have a leak and now I'm past 60,000 Miles. I have no doubt they lied because they didn't want to have to reseal my engine. We test drive and ready to sign the paperwork to buy the car. They want our SSN, I ask why 'it's a soft hit, no worries it's just the process' he says. I get an alert from credit Karma a hit came up, the salesman comes back and says they had the wrong SSN written down. That's not right bc I got an alert ::red flags:: so they go back and now it's 6pm, my bank is closed now. They say our loan didn't go through, the cost of the car is now $4k more bc the price listed was for a trade in but good news they have a financing option for us. Yeah no, 12% more interest and my loan is good bc I just spoke to our bank on what our payments would be and length of the loan. We quickly left. I bought a car back in Aug of 2017 from them. It took me almost 2 years to get a title that I could register my car with (June of 2019). So I was stuck with a car I couldnt legally drive, couldnt sell and couldnt return for 2 years! I tried working with them to get it resolved and get a working title and got very little help and NO compensation for it. I tried exchanging the car for a car that had a working title, they said no. I tried asking for financial compensation and they simple said they were legally covered and werent going to help. I would avoid them like the plague! read more

If I could give -5 stars I would. I have purchased 3 BRAND NEW vehicles here since 2018. Due to financial problems I went to trade in my 2022 Kona on a used vehicle. First off the vehicle I wanted to look at was "bad" and Noah (the pos salesman) didn't feel right showing it to me. I was told I only had 2 options for what I could get (BS). I test drove a 2019 Journey and liked it. Noah told me it was $19000 (website had it at $19900). It was late (9:30pm) and the lady in financing was not explaining any paperwork to me (said it was her 1st day). Signed the papers went home and went to bed. Two (2) days later the check engine light comes on. Got out the paperwork to check warranty and realized they had the vehicle at $25000 not $19000 like I was told!! Called the manager and was told to bring the car back and my warranty would cover it and she would find out what happened with the pricing. Never got a call back. Took the vehicle to service and they said I had to get paperwork from manager. I was then told that my warranty doesn't kick in for 30 days and there's nothing they can do. Noah said "well you bought a used vehicle". Yeah, a $28000 vehicle and it should not break down 2 days later. This was the worst experience I've ever had buying a car.
