I took a new(13 year old) Truck to them. We thought that something was wrong with one of the tires and figured there were a few other things normal for an old truck. They found a whole list of stuff wrong with the truck. They helped me prioritize the urgent repairs and had it done faster and under the estimate. Great service at a reasonable price. Shortly after moving to the Columbus,IN area, my car started having problems. This place was recommended to me by co-workers and I'm glad they did. I've visited Automobile Diagnostics twice for separate repairs and left both times feeling great. The mechanics (they prefer Auto Service Technicians) are friendly and very willing to talk. To me, it seemed they really enjoy their job. I didn't feel rushed, they took time to answer my questions. Both times I've taken my car here (timing belt and then distributor), I've gotten quotes and, both times, Auto Diagnostics was the lowest. Both times it took around 24 hours to get my car back. To me, those two jobs are hard, time consuming work and it says a lot that they were able to get it done that quickly. It says even more that I have had NO problems after the repairs. They get the job done right the first time. It did take a few days to get my car in. Though, to me, that means they're busy and you don't stay busy if you're not good at what you do. The front office is clean and comfortable and they mange to keep their hands clean, even though their line of work tends to be dirty and messy. As far as I know, they don't specialize in any particular brand yet I've seen a variety of cars in their lot and garage. That fact, coupled with them staying busy, to me means they know what they're doing. As far my vehicles go, its not even worth considering another shop from now on. I saw only like a 5 star & I only take my car to the best & other half time, myself doing the work.. I called got great service by a tech but the service lady was once rude by phone of my 4 callings total & I had a appoin today, showed u & get told they are booked I can reschedule u earliest in4-5 more days & have waited 4 for this appt so highly dissatisfied & going elsewhere. After hitting a coyote on the highway at midnight our car ended up not drive-able. Being 3 1/2 hours from home and unsure of the area we had to take the recommendation of the hotel front desk agent and THANKFULLY we did. Automobile Diagnostics arranged for a tow truck to come and get our car and bring us to the shop, they kept us up to date throughout the entire repair process, repaired the car quickly and even called to make sure we made it back home safely and that everything was running properly. Car trouble is always stressful, being stranded so far from home makes things even worse but Josh, Tammy and the entire team made everything so much easier. Dropped my truck off, with drivability issues, on a Tuesday at 4 P.M. and asked them to diagnose, but not repair (DIYer to the core). They called me back at around 9 A.M. the next day and let me know what they thought was the issue (clogged EGR ports). Yeah. They were right. Cleaned out my EGR ports and, BOOM, back to normal and no P-codes. They had the skill-set and knowledge-base to point me to the correct fix. If/when I have another issue that I can't figure out, (without spending a lot of money on additional diagnostic tools) I will definitely hit these guys up. read more

Wish there was a minus 1 star...I took my car to this place to get a diagnostic because of a check transmission light and the car shaking when I put it into a gear. I was told that a diagnostic works like going to the doctor for a stomach issue and that's the only area the doctor will concentrate on. No joke. I was actually told this by Don. Guess the diagnostic machine doesn't read all those codes and doesn't tell you things that are wrong with the car they you don't even want to know about. Or maybe this guy is a damn liar. Maybe he didn't want to even give me any type of proof that I had even taken the car to them as a favor to the dealership that they do a lot of work for. read more

We have a 2009 Range Rover Sport that is fully loaded. My wife is the primary driver for this vehicle, therefor it does not get much use. The 'check engine' and the 'low tire pressure' lights appeared. After taking the vehicle to AutoZone, their diagnostic tool recommended the rear O2 sensor on the passenger side was faulty. For the tire pressure issue, I topped off the tires to the correct pressure (including the spare), drove it 20 miles but the light stayed on. Called Automotive Diagnostics and got an appointment rather quickly. After their technician did a complete diagnostic of the vehicle, they determined the tire sensors were out of calibration and the pesky check engine light was not getting proper voltage from the ECM. They recommended replacing the battery. Since the battery was just 24 months old, it was replaced at no charge. The technician replaced the battery, re-ran the diagnostics and a road test and all the sensor were working properly. The customer service and keeping me notified of what was going on and giving recommendations before starting the repairs was greatly appreciated. I recommend anyone who has those pesky idiot lights coming on, to go directly to Automotive Diagnostics. It will save you a lot of frustration. read more
