The truck also did not have a parking pawl rod and would not lock into park. Took it to M&M. They rebuilt the carburetor and returned the truck to me. The truck was running horribly, missing, stumbling. They never resolved the parking pawl issue. I took the truck back to M&M and they said they could not resolve the issue and told me I had to get my own kick down bracket and cable. They apparently had no idea how to resolve the kick down transmission issue or parking pawl rod issue. I took the truck to a great experienced mechanic in Missoula who found the points were fried, Distributor cap damaged, spark plugs damaged, spark plug wires cracked and old, they tuned the truck, hooked up the kick down cable, repaired the parking pawl rod, and the TRUCK RUNS GREAT! M&M is worthless. Had the truck at M&M two times and they could not figure out that the truck needed a simple tune up and simple transmission repair. M&M staff are very nice people, but totally inept at working on simple classic trucks.

We were referred by a friend, and with our recent bad luck we were of course scared to try anyone, but Toby didn't give us any issues! Only downer was waiting a little longer then usual, but that wasn't his fault as mechanics are usually always busy! We had him rebuild our 2010 Escalade, he gave us the quote of how much it would cost at the most, sadly it ended up having to get a full rebuild. He let us know how bad it was and kept in touch with us during the process. Not only did he rebuild it faster then expected but upgraded some of the parts and warrantied his work. Stood by his quote as well, just had to pay a fee for using a card (again, not his fault). We have driven a couple thousand miles since then, mostly highway miles since we live out of town and it still drives like new! Thank you for all your help and being one the few honest mechanics still out there! Will definitely refer to anyone else in need!

Had a most excellent experience with Jerry's! My old PT Cruiser had been having transmission issues…read morefor a while, and Brett was candid about my options during my initial discussion with them. We went ahead with a transaxle rebuild because of its poor driving quality when I brought it in, and then spent the next two months dealing with one issue after another, trying to find the right parts (because old PT Cruiser), trying to outsmart an onboard computer that had clearly lost its mind, basically everything that Murphy's Law could throw at this vehicle. Throughout it all, Brett and his guys absolutely went out of their way to be super fair, understanding, and communicative every step of the way. In the end, there was one issue that they weren't able to diagnose, again being very upfront about it, and Brett had me do a testdrive with them to see if it was acceptable or if I wanted them to keep working on it. Since the car was running WAY better than before I'd brought it in, I gave them my stamp of approval. This could easily have been a very negative situation, but because of how reasonable and professional Brett and his team were, I'll continue to rely on them for anything related to any transmission going forward!

In addition, Brett made the process less stressful with his kindness and humor. This is the second time I've had this same repair done. The first time, it was done at a different shop. After that repair, the pickup was a little difficult in shifting (a 5-speed manual transmission), but slowly smoothed out; but after about 3 - 4 years, the same problem started to show up again! Looking back on it, I wasn't confident with that first repair, thinking I shouldn't have occasional rough shifting afterwards. Now, this second time around, the shifting is as smooth and solid as it was when I bought the vehicle. I know it was done right! Thank you Brett and everyone! The mother has dementia and didn't know or remember that her daughter told her that she already agreed to sell it to me. Brian went over right away and convinced the mother to sell it to him. He had to have gotten the keys and Title from their friend who had already agreed to meet with me a few days later. Clearly he felt the need to hurry and go buy it as soon as possible before I had the chance to wrap things up. He knew full well that he wouldn't have even known it was for sale unless I had called Transolutions asking about it. According to him, he said "if anyone's in line before me to buy it, sell it to them", but the granny didn't remember that her daughter already told her it was sold. I pointed out to Brian that he was literally going against his own word, and his response was that it was "God's will". I asked Brian if he was a good God-fearing Christian, and he said "of course!". I was told that if I brought my vehicle, I should expect a 90-minute wait... no problem I thought. As I arrived 10 minutes or so later, I was surprised by the not so looking Tire-Rama location. My first thought was that the store had moved because the building I was looking at (from the north side) looked like a rundown mechanic shop. In any case, proceeded inside to get that oil change going. The lobby was full and the one person at the counter was on the phone. I left after the 15-minute wait made me realized that I was not even going to be greeted or for that matter, acknowledged!! I get it Jeff (guy at the counter), you were busy taking care of the guy from Darby who needed two new tires. I must suggest though Jeff, that you should have taken a moment between finishing your conversation with the Darby customer and the other two phone calls you made to order the tires from the Missoula store, but most importantly before (this is key), leaving the counter with the work order to so urgently take back to the shop; to just let me and other customers (that had already been waiting for you to finish before I even got to the counter), that you will be right with us. Not only customer service Jeff, but common sense! I heard that this location is getting new management. Good luck to the new manager! Retraining will be key! In the meantime, I will continue driving the 18 miles to the Stevensville location where Justin and his crew (previously Jon A. & crew) continue to WOW customers with basic customer service!
