My battery died and I got it jumped. Went to Autozone Miramar & Flamingo to check the battery in case I needed a new one. The guy checked it and said no the battery is fine it's just corrosion. You gotta take it off. He didn't tell me what to buy nothing just I need to fix it. So I went to Autozone Miami lakes near the ihop (183rd st) and I asked the guy to help me get with getting the corrosion off. He helped and I went to work. I get off at 6pm, battery died again. So I played it with and lucky it started. I head to Publix and come back battery dead. Now it's 7:10pm I call the tow truck because I'm like if it's not the battery then what is it. Tow truck comes at 8:55pm. He test the battery first and says it's done you need a new one. He jumps it and I go to Autozone on 441 & Miramar store #1255 and I get Mr. Arden. Now it's 9:26pm and Arden says we don't service batteries this late. I explained to my whole story and anybody would be upset because when I first originally went to Autozone Miramar the man should have told me my battery was dead. He didn't do his due diligence with my vehicle. Very lazy. Mind you I got my battery from autozone so it was under warranty and so cmon. Anyways Mr. Arden kindly checked my battery and concluded I needed a new and changed it for me. He really didn't have to and I appreciate him for being so kind! I'm sending you lots of blessings your way sir. Thank you so much for helping me! Now yall don't go to Mr. Arden late, no battery service after 8pm! They have great customer service and the other Autozones need to take a page out of their book. read more

Hans is terrible with customer service, he's a first class jerk and a liar. Called to buy a battery for my car and the store said come and someone will install it. When I got there Hans, without provocation, got upset when I asked to install. I told him i just called and he said, not this store, I re called the number and he literally picked up and put me on hold. Steer clear from this garbage. read more

They have really poor service. I went to buy a battery and they had 3 people on staff and they said they were understaffed to change my battery. So they handed me the tools to change it myself which is ok but don't lie to me saying you're under staffed. Then installed the battery and it was acting funny. I asked to please verify if i i fact did buy the correct battery and they claimed the system was down. They didn't even have the curtesy to check the problem I was talking to them about. All other locations they installed for me and made sure it worked properly. Now I have to take it to a mechanic to see if it's the correct battery. read more

I went to the auto zone located at 1513 n state road hollywood fl. I have been going here for years and so has my father. I have never felt so discriminated against. There is an older gentleman by the name of julio. I went there a few months ago and was waiting in line. The customer julio was tending to finished hid transaction and left. I was the only one standing there. I approached Julios register and placed my items on the counter. Julio proceeded to answer his phone and start talking to his wife. It was In spanish and I am cuban and understood every word. It was not an emergency call, but I waited for him to finish his personal call but it was taking long. I saw someone else at another register and asked if they could help me because I've been standing there for about 5 mins or so waiting for him to finish. He saw that I asked someone else to help and immediately became loud saying that I was just standing there not saying or doing anything. The other team member told him in spanish to hang up the phone and she tended to me and was polite and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Today I attempted to go there again to have my battery recharged. I saw him and knew right off the bat he was going to give me a hard time. At this time there were about 4 other team members not tending to anyone. I have several back issues and asked if someone could please help bring my battery in. He right off the bat said he had no one. So I asked..out of all the other 4 team members not one can help me and he straight up said no. I got so heated and had to run out of there to not cause a scene. Same thing happened a few months back when I went to buy this same battery..where he refused to help me with it. I am a gay woman and I work on my own car..I'm beginning to think..in fact I have a strong belief he is homophobic. He seems nice and polite with everyone else but every time I go in it's a problem dealing with him. I have placed a complaint with the regional office and I will never be going there again. Absolute worst store in all of south florida. I sat on hold for a total of almost 30 minutes. Got disconnected multiple times, recieved the same "hold on one second" every single time I called for a super simple answer to a question I had. If you must shop here *ONLY DEAL WITH TONY C.*. He is the only person in this location who has a clue about ANYTHING! Thank goodness for his help when he stepped in after I was getting incorrect information about a simple return from another manager - name forgotten, I'll just call him "Dick" due to his condescending and overly rude behavior when I questioned why I must receive store credit instead of my cash back when their own employee made a mistake. This very nice employee, although completely empty of knowledge when it comes to car parts and how to operate their own computer system was even there to admit his own mistake. I did not have a good experience here today. I came in about 15 minutes before they closed but all I needed to do was grab a pair of wiper blades. I came in and saw that one of the guys was mopping the floor and the other one was counting the cash register. The one that was mopping, Hans, asked me what I needed and I told him that I was looking for wiper blades. He asked me the make and model of my vehicle which I provided to him and he looked them up on the computer. He then asked if I wanted the "more cheaper ones". I said that was kind of expensive but was looking at some of the other ones that they carry. He then walked away from the cash register without saying anything and went to help the other guy count down the drawer. So since there was not very much option, I told him that I would take the blades. I had placed my card in the reader to quickly and he rudely told me to take it out and not put it back in until he told me to. And then I asked him if they also put them on the vehicle for me (which I have had done many times before) and he abruptly snapped "not at this time!". He was very rude and not personable. He did not thank me or say goodbye/have a nice night. He just said "don't walk where I mopped. Walk on the left side." Just bad customer service. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and they were still open when I left. read more

While at dinner my son called to let me know his car won't start and he would be late to work so I left asap as I knew it was getting late quickly. When I got home I tried starting his car and heard a fast clicking noise and the car wouldn't start for me either. When I jumped the battery the car did start. So i realized it's a bad battery that needed to get replaced. To get this resolved quickly the same day I looked up the one place that has never failed me in the past...AutoZone! When I saw the closest one didn't close until 9p in Hollywood-FL I drove over asap. I arrived at Autozone 40 minutes before closing, 820p on Sunday. When I informed the manager I need a dead battery replaced he said it couldnt be done. When I informed him it was 40 minutes before closing and asked if there was anything he could do to help he then said it was too late and too dark out to change the battery and come back in the morning. (They were only 2 customers in the store when I was at the counter) Then I reiterated what he told me and asked "so you're saying there's nothing you can do?" He again said no and to come back in the morning. I found another Autozone in the area and called them. They said they would have changed it but my ETA would be after closing time so it wouldn't be done tonight. In TN I've had an Autozone change out a battery at 930p on a weekeday by flashlight. I have to ask AutoZone... where is the love, accountability, integrity, passion in helping someone when you have the power to do so? Not to mention provide customer service while making a sale?! So the lesson learned...if you have a bad battery, make sure there's still daylight or this Autozone won't help you. Also, call ahead to validate the staff have the integrity to help as it's getting harder and harder to find/expect good customer service these days. read more

I went to change my battery today and I had a horrible experience with the Parts manger Rafael and the guy who put my battery Julio they treated me and my mom mother in law like we didn't know because we are women. the guy that put my battery was very RUDE! I asked him if I was going to save the Memory chip and he told me PLEASE LET ME DO MY JOB AND STAND OVER THERE LIKE AM A KID! Every time I go into this particular autozone to get a code read they have an excuse. The workers don't like to read codes. The first time I went there to get a code read they told me they can't read codes past 5pm for safety reasons they can't go outside. Then 5 minutes later I see them outside changing someone's windshield wiper blades. I went there now this morning and they tell me the code reader system is "Down" to go to another Auto Zone. These are just 2 examples but every time I go to this Auto Zone the employees do not want to help. Every other Auto zone I have been to the employees go out of the way to help. If you are looking for an Autozone stay away from this one it's worth a few minutes drive to go to the one on Miramar Pkwy and 441 or Taft and University. read more

After receiving a jump from AAA and being told I needed a battery charge, I decided to purchase a battery charger for home from Autozone. First, I called to inquire, and the man who answered the phone was very helpful. Next, I went in person for the purchase, and Jerry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I made the purchase, then went back out to my dead battery. It was completely drained. Julio promised me we'd get it started, and after several attempts with their jump starter (which did not work because my battery was so drained), he actually pulled up his personal car and on the second attempt got my car started. Everyone there was very friendly, and I truly appreciate their dedication to help me. I would definitely recommend them due to their wonderful service, and I will go there again, if needed. read more

This evening I brought my 19 year old son to this store to get a battery for his car. Upon asking for the battery the worker promptly stated that he would not install it. It was 7:32pm the store closes at 8:00pm. (It takes about 7 mins to remove and then install the battery) There was only one other customer in the store and she was walking out the door as we stepped up to the register. I purposly left out that he welcomed us because he didn't, and after I paid for the battery he did not thank us for the purchase. After leaving the store my son asked why was that man so RUDE. The customer service in that store and that particular worker is truly lacking and after my son brings back his dead battery for the $18.00+ refund we will no longer step foot in there again.
