Shortly after delivery, the vehicle developed severe overheating issues and was deemed unsafe to drive by multiple repair facilities. In October 2025, a manufacturer-affiliated MINI dealership performed a detailed inspection and documented extensive mechanical defects requiring repairs totaling $16,939.83. That inspection video and invoice are attached. In my opinion, a pre-purchase inspection that identifies only a minor belt issue while missing multiple serious mechanical problems raises serious concerns about the thoroughness and professional standard of the inspection performed. Had these issues been identified, I would not have purchased the vehicle. I relied on this inspection to make a major financial decision, and the outcome was a vehicle that was unsafe to operate and required extensive repairs almost immediately. Consumers considering a pre-purchase inspection should carefully ask what systems are examined, what limitations apply, and whether the inspection meaningfully protects the buyer from major undisclosed defects. I went in and asked an associate to check my battery (you know after my friend had managed to jumpstart my car). As it turned out, Chris was assigned to the task. Chris was very nice and polite.
