Recently on a bitterly cold Sunday morning, I went to start my car intending to run some errands and ... nothing. The dreaded dead battery. I jumped it and headed to AutoZone on Dolson Ave on the advice of a relative. I was admittedly a little skeptical they'd do more than sell me a new battery (and that I'd have to wait for a weekday to find someone to install it) but I was worrying needlessly :). A female associate whose name I regrettably didn't catch went above and beyond in both selling me the battery and installing it, right there and then. It was the easiest experience and I'm so grateful something I expected to turn into a headache ended up being barely a blip on my radar of things to get done that day. (If she sees this by any chance - thank you again! You're awesome!) I've previously visited this store to purchase items for my car, as well, and it's always neat, clean, and the associates are always polite and helpful. I was in a dire situation. My battery was in need of a charge, and I didn't re-up my AAA. I was in the back lot of Dolson Auto Zone. I was loaned a portable charger...which did not work for me. JAY made two trip out( his own vehicle), brought cables, cleaned my connections and charged me, successfully. He declined a small tip and hoped that this helped in " fixing my day". This is the story of how one of God's angels, Marii Colon, went the extra mile. She saw a stranger in need and answered the call. When my car battery died, Colon drove me from the site of my crisis to the nearest AutoZone. On route I told her a personal anecdote about something humiliating I had recently done to invite this destruction upon myself, complaining about how TIRED I was of the universe LAUGHING! AT! ME! She listened and graciously laughed along with me, in a way that made me feel like she had done something similarly foolish, although I find it highly unlikely. Colon waited while I bought the new car battery and signed up for the warranty. She drove me back to my car, where she proceeded to remove the dead battery and install the new one. To the uninitiated with manual labor, the battery installation process took about 30 minutes, in the midday heat and grit. Throughout this entire debacle, I was wholly and completely at the mercy of strangers, but Colon never once acted put upon. Money was offered and refused. She was just one friend, helping another, no questions asked. Furthermore, Marii Colon is the ONLY reason I gave my business to the nearest AutoZone instead of calling a tow and/or running away into the woods. Marii Colon deserves the world. read more

Don't buy a battery here. They put one in my car which ended up being the wrong battery. Then when I went back to exchange it they refused to exchange it & said it was right when I even took my car to bmw to get the RIGHT battery. One less customer right here. read more

Went to get a light bulb replaced for my headlights and the guy had no idea how to do it. Cashier was also rude and had an attitude. If you are looking to get a basic light bulb changed for you're car go to a real mechanic, these clowns can barely remember to breath. read more
