When you spend $250+ on a battery, installed, you expect said battery to be installed properly. Not for you to come out one day two months later and not be able to start your car, battery seems to be dead, only to pop the hood and realize it is somehow only partially connected?? I have driven so few miles in the past 2 months. No one has messed with my car. The only thing I can come up with is that it wasn't tightened enough and it somehow worked itself loose over those 200 miles? Thankfully, a nice gentleman was able to rectify the situation. But, I didn't realize I had to check the work of the guy that installed it originally. All this to say - check and make sure your battery is installed properly! read more

I came in over the weekend to get a battery tested. Their tester was down, I said I'd come back later. I went in yesterday and was "greeted" by an associate with no more than a grunt and a "what do you want" look on his face. I told him I needed a battery tested, he reluctantly went and got the machine. He seemed almost annoyed that I hadn't already popped the hood. It's a Mercedes, so the battery is actually under the rear seat. He said he wasn't going to go looking for it, I asked him to check via the charging points. He did, quickly said it's bad, and I'm not changing it. Walked back in the store and that was that. The store was very slow and well staffed, so there was no need for him to treat a customer like that. There are plenty of other options in the area, and going forward I'll be going to them instead. read more

It seems every time we hit the road for a road trip hubby wants to stop here. This time it was for bug remover windshield washer fluid. So while we were out we stopped here. Hubby got a gallon of fluid and poured it into his truck. Surprisingly to me it took the whole thing. For a little over $4. we are set for our drive home. Prices seem reasonable and they had what we needed. Will return to one of their many locations the next time we need something for our vehicles. read more

I called to check if they would be able to change my headlight and CJ was beyond helpful! She told me she was getting off in about 30 minutes so if I could get there before then she would change it. I was there for less than 15 minutes and had both headlights changed. I also went here another time when my starter was out so they were unable to help me but the gentleman who helped me that time was very nice, knowledgeable and pointed me in the direction of multiple places that could help! read more

my battery died. After a jump, was able to drive to this Auto zone to buy new. Couldn't use AC because battery too low and it was a feels like 99' day and a light rain. To say the least I was stressed and barely able to breathe when I got there. was so pleased to see the management were and majority of staff females. For safety they couldn't change out battery until lit stopped. They saw how stressed I was, got a chair for me to wait but as soon as rain stopped the one woman immediately went out to do the job, completed in less then 10 minutes. in meantime I had already checked out so I was able to leave immediately. I had an unusual battery problem and called in to the store to see if they had a replacement battery in stock. I described the problem to Elgin and he immediately knew that it wasn't my battery but in fact the auxiliary battery that was the problem. Having never dealt with a problem like this before, Elgin told me exactly what I needed, confirmed they had the battery in stock and was even kind enough to drive me back to my car and help me get it installed and get me back on the road. No upselling or trying to make a bigger problem of it to increase the sale. Unfortunately, instead of moving forward with replacement, I chose to visit the Toyota dealership down the road and wasted 2 hours of my life. I got a battery through an Autozone in Tampa, they didn't clean the cables, and killed the battery in less than 2 years. I took my car to the Autozone off Manatee and the employee spent over 25 minutes cleaning my cables and plugs and said "I wouldn't want my car to look like this". I was unbelievable impressed at the time and effort he spent on my car. The manager was also extremely knowledgeable in helping me find parts for my car. I will definitely be going back to this location for any and all of my car's needs. read more

We went in today 11/13/16 to get a new battery for my car. The clerk said he didnt have any. My husband asked him to check his computer. The clerk said we have them on a pallet in the back but it would take a couple of hours for him to get to it. No thanks, we need it now. You just lost a customer. read more

I was impressed with the female clerk who not only helped me find the proper car battery for my car, she installed it for me at no charge. It is hard to know if I got the best deal on price since when your car battery is dead you aren't in too much of a position to shop around, but it seems my car had a specialized type of battery so I was lucky they had one in stock. Overall the sales staff was very efficient and helpful and check out was quick and easy. I don't know if every Auto Zone helps install parts, but in the past another Auto Zone worker was happy to install my windshield wipers after purchase. They seem to go above and beyond to help their customers, especially the ones like me who know nothing about cars. read more

Well beware of this place, sold me a battery that was the wrong battery for my car. Car would not start went back and was told to go see a mechanic, I took the manager's advice and went to a mechanic, he diagnose the problem to be the wrong battery for the car. The mechanic put in the right battery and told me to go back and get my money back from auto zone. Auto zone's manager barked at me and refused initially to refund me my money. I showed the receipt from the auto mechanic and still continued to bark at me.... I refused to leave until I got my refund. He reluctantly gave me my refund and told me never to enter his store again. Corp headquarters did not agree, the customer is always right and in this case I was right..... The other day my sons car battery had stopped working which was shocking considering a month ago I had bought it from autozone. I decided to go back to this autozone to get a new one but when I got there and explained the situation to them they told me they cannot help me. When I asked why they couldn't the man told me that it was because I was a cripple and a useless contribution to society. As shocked and angry as I was at the ignorance of this employee I decided to ask for the manager. When the manager came out he started to ask what the problem was before stopping mid sentence and just staring at me. He pulled a cattle prod out from behind the desk and starting electrocuting me as he screamed "WE DON'T SERVE WHEELCHAIR PEOPLE IN HERE!!! GET OUT BASTARD!!!". As I fell to the ground I started crawling for the door. Once I was outside I called my son to pick me up. When he got there the manager came outside and told my son that he needed to leave and "let this old man die out here in the streets where cripples belong." My son helped me up and we left. Great place, great service. While away from home (snowbird), my headlight bulb burned out. I needed the bulb, with the ability and willingness of someone to do the installation. After a number of calls to the usual suspects brought much negative interest, because of Yelp and earlier reviews, I called this place. No guarantee was made over the phone regarding the installation, but an offer "to take a look at what's involved" gave me some hope. When I got there, the place was abuzz with workers working their wonders inside and outside. Sure enough, Roberto, a great representative of AutoZone, sold me the bulb, went outside and quickly had the bulb installed and my problem was solved. What impressed me about this particular place in my short period of time was a perceived sense that the workers wanted things to work out for their customers. It did not seem like an extra effort that they might be able to offer. Don't know if the credit goes to AutoZone as a corporation or to the management at this site.
