I walked in and another attendant was thoroughly helping a customer search for parts on the computer/cash register. I waited a bit and was greeted by Erick. I asked Erick if they can run code on my vehicle since the "maintenance required" light is on. He explained that if that light is on it means that the car is letting you know that you need an oil change. I told him that I got an oil change at Take 5 in New Braunfels, TX (what I thought was recently). Erick explained that if the oil change has been completed then the light needs to be reset. He said that I would need to take it back to the place I got an oil change, take it to any oil change establishment, or learn how to do it at home. He didn't specify why he couldn't do it, but gave me reliable concrete suggestions. I absolutely loved that Erick explained to me in depth what was going on and why. He is a professional in this field and gave me, the customer information that didn't have prior to coming in. It was absolutely gold star experience! I ask myself why I couldn't get this same experience at AutoZone and I know why because O'Reilly's actually cares about their customers. When I got back to the car, I realized that my last oil change was in September of last year and I am due for another. So he gave me spot on information too. Before I left, I complimented Erick glasses. They were very cool to look at. He smiled and thanked me.

I called for an appointment at Byrd and brought my truck in this morning. I ask for a front and rear brake job, to rotate my tires and perform an all wheel alignment and to check the rear tire for a slow leak. These folks are true professionals. They informed me that I had 40% and 60% of my front and rear brakes pads remaining, (the truck has 82K mikes on it) and therefore I did not need brakes at this time. They rotated the tires and put the truck on the alignment machine. They told me no alignment adjustment was required. I expected to pay for the hours of work that was done to check my vehicle. I got the bill and was surprised that $0.00 amount was due. I actually challenged Tim and said i needed to pay something. He said no all they had done was a complimentary inspection. I appreciate honesty. when they could have followed my directions and replaced all the brakes and on top of that charged me for an alignment. Wow ...they are some honest folks. Hacks! Avoid Hall's Auto Electric! I took my truck in with a…read morecylinder one misfire. 8 weeks in total they had my truck. In that entire 8 weeks I got not one single phone call from the desk-squatter Paul that literally sits next to a phone all day. They charged me $6920 and gave my truck back to me with not only the cylinder one still misfiring but now cylinder 6 as well, and told me that my AC that worked perfectly fine before they got hold of now has a broken compressor, and also now I have a bottom end issue not covered under the work they did. I paid my own mechanic to check their work. There is no bottom end issue. He fixed both misfires by installing two msd solenoids! And the compressor on my AC--works fine--they didn't refill the Freon that they extracted from it! Also found missing bolts. Complete hacks wasted 8 weeks of my life with their incompetence, and I still had to pay another mechanic another $800 to fix their hack diagnosis/work! Avoid these low end losers!
