Just left this store about 10 minutes ago, where my husband and I were falsely accused of stealing. We went to Autozone looking for a piece for our new amp, we went in once and we were trying to find the piece, we walked back out to see if the piece from our old amp fit our new one, we seen it didn't so we walked back into Auto Zone and we were debating on buying the piece since it was $25.99. We noticed there was an empty box of some cable wiring and said "Wow who steals from Auto Zone". We ended up leaving to Walmart a couple minutes down the road to see if we could find the piece for cheaper, we indeed did not find it and so we headed back to Auto Zone. My husband only got off the car and 5 minutes later he comes back empty handed saying they kicked him because we supposedly stole something. I of course was extremely angry and walked into the store where two workers and a manager told us to leave so I asked what the problem was. They said that we were "hiding in a corner" and once we were gone there were two items missing, this of course infuriated me due to the fact that we had not done that. I immediately told them to check their cameras and if they wanted to the can check our car because of course we didn't take anything. They kept going on and on that two of their employees had seen us hiding in a corner and that there was items missing. They never checked their cameras, the manager handling this was a tall african american man, spoke spanish as well. My husband intervened and said "If we stole something why would we have the courage to come back?" and the manager proceeded to say "I'm not sure, so many people do it here". If they really thought we had stolen something they would've called the cops, right? The manager then told the employee to hang up the phone and help us check out. The employee very kindly helped us and checked us out. Why would you still purchase there you may ask? Well because we are not people who steal, we pay for our things. It is extremely embarrassing and humiliating to be accused of this in a store full of customers. Do better! read more

In early 2020 I bought a Duralast gold battery for my boat. I put the receipt in a pouch wit my registration paperwork. The battery has a three year free replacement warranty on it, and I was relieved that the $200 battery had that, because it gave out last week. I took the battery out and when I got the receipt, the heat had erased it, so it was unreadable. I didn't worry too much because the battery was in their system and it should be no problem since it's their brand, right? WRONG! The clerk couldn't find the item in my account, so although there was a manufacturer date if 09/19 (well within the three year warranty) he told me he couldn't do anything for me! $200 wasted and a lesson was learned! I won't buy another battery from them. I can get the same battery from Rural Kings (made by Excide) for $79 with the same warranty. So, I'm going to make the drive there and buy it from them. It doesn't make sense that a private label item with a manufacturer mark would even require proof of purchase. It seems to me they were just looking at getting out of replacing it when they can up with that policy because it's not like I could have bought it from another retailer! read more

An attitude of indifference! Walmart sent me and my wife there to buy a tool for the rims on my car. I was looking for the item while my wife asked an employee at the sales counter. Words were exchanged then she was told "Sorry go to the dealer". The employee's attitude was so severe that a man in line behind my wife told the employee to watch his tone of voice. We left and drove 1 mile to Advance auto parts where inside of 5 minutes I was leaving with the tool and a smile. read more

The girl was nice enough, I feel bad writing this but the fact that they normally show the customer the stats, even if the customer doesn't know what they are looking at, gave an erie gut feeling that they could take advantage of the situation. read more
