I was recommended Philo's Body Shop from my father because they go wayyyyy back and knew I could…read morecount on him! I called and made an appointment with Philo (who is the owner!) After a few days later, when I arrived to the shop for my appointment, we talked about my car and I even informed Philo that I had went to another shop (gates... lol) and they quoted me almost $3k to fix my passenger car door. Which, by the way, my passenger side door would not open at all nor would the window go all the way down without making noise. Philo stepped outside and took a look at my car, analyzed it carefully and said, "Yup. I can fix it! And for a better price!" Sure liked the sound of that!! We went back inside and he searched up car parts for my car and gave me an estimated price. However, he said he would do some more searching and send me an accurate estimate through email. Philo took my information and I went on my way. Later that night, he called me and gave me the actual estimated amount and I said, "Let's do it!" (By the way, ALOT cheaper than Gates!!) We set up an appointment, where I'd practically be carless and he sent me the quote through email. I went to Philo's shop the following day and gave him half the deposit! A week later, I took my car to the shop. 3 and a half days later, my car was ready for pick up. (P.s. I was so excited!) When I arrived, he explained to me what they did to my car and how they even cleaned it as well! (I appreciated that so much!) He handed me my keys, I gave him the other half of the money and went on about my business. I opened my passenger car door and had such a relief that I could finally open the door again. It almost looks brand new! They did an absolute great job!! I absolutely loved how Philo was very knowledgeable, caring, and always replied to me in a timely manner when I had questions! I 100% recommend Philo's Body Shop! They were overall amazing! Unfortunately, I only have photos after they fixed it. But trust me when I say this... that passenger side door would not open! I was promised regular updates throughout the process, but when I asked for them, I was told it "wasn't their responsibility." Four months later the build is still not finished. The lack of communication and accountability was unacceptable. I would not recommend this business.

Buying the company next door and building a new service area. So, I stopped by a couple of weeks ago and asked about my Mini Cooper. I normally would have to go to Buchanan, MI or Ft Wayne or Indy to have it serviced. Well, fortunately the wonderful service people found a problem which was not relayed to me when I bought it last year. It cost me, but it was worth my peace of mind. They sent me a video of the problem and it worked out great. They definitely know what they are doing. I was impressed. Definitely will go there again.
