When I went to pick it up @ 3:30, I was told it would not be ready until the following week. Went back this 5/2/26 morning around 11 AM to get fixed told I had to wait it would have only taken a couple of minutes to fix did not to want to wait they were not busy at time. Last oil change went there when I checked the next morning there was a puddle of oil on my garage floor for me to clean up. told them about it this time did not seem concerned. There are very many places to have service done in Wilmington with another getting ready to open on College rd. Just to let you know will go elsewhere next time and in future. PSA: BEWARE OF VALVOLINE ON CAROLINA BEACH ROAD!!!…read more I had an oil change from Valvoline at 5561 Carolina Beach Road on 8/26. Shortly after, I started experiencing issues. I took it back to Valvoline and they stated that there was no oil on the dipstick and that I had a busted gasket. I informed them that they did the previous oil change and this was clearly their negligence. They ADMITTED FAULT and comped the oil change. I expressed that I was concerned about potential engine damage. I immediately filed a claim with Valvoline corporate. A few days later, my engine light came on and I took it back up to Valvoline. It showed a P0301 misfire. The Valvoline tech told me to take it to Car Guys. I immediately took it to the mechanic (the Valvoline area manager called me and was upset that I didn't drive my car 2 hours south to Myrtle Beach to "his mechanic"). Car Guys found internal damage due to oil starvation. The cost of the repair is $3100. I called and informed Valvoline. The area manager responded back and has denied the claim, refusing to pay for the repair. DO BETTER VALVOLINE! My car is damaged due to YOUR NEGLIGENCE and it is your responsibility to make right.
