There was one person checking out and no one else was in the store and we were parked at the front door. He could have easily and quickly completed the test and we would have purchased our part from this store. This is not the first time we've encountered poor customer service at this store but it will be the last. The Advance store in Callahan provides much better customer service. Update: we went to O'Rielly's in Callahan. They were much busier but didn't hesitate to take two minutes to test the alternator.

I was taken advantage of and overcharged for service with our 2016 F150 in warrantee. As a result,…read moreI am recommending avoiding using this dealership for any repairs due to gross overpricing service and disrespect to their valued customer. In detail, I made an appointment, directly requested to replace the hood latch sensor and 4 tire sensors and provided them with a copy of the extended warrantee (a $100 deductible). Note that both items were checked by the local auto parts store prior and needed to be replaced and the diagnosis for both latches and sensors took less than 15 minutes at no charge. My decision to go to a Ford dealership was based on location, quick access to OEM parts, and a quality replacement and in a timely manner. When dropping of the truck for repair, the service advisor PL said "you're here for the latch and tire sensor replacement". Nothing was mentioned that a diagnostic was required. I received a phone call that day from the Ford Dealership that the cost is $180 for the hood latch diagnosis and $180 for the tire sensor diagnosis that I did not authorize. The estimated for the latch was $443 (OEM part approx. $100, Non-OEM $25, $150 to replace by local repair shop). The estimate for three tire sensors was $706 that was not covered by our warrantee (OEM sensors approx. $100 at this dealership. Sam's Club $159 all 4 tires and $400 for OEM at local repair shop. Therefore, I decided to only repair the hood latch because I was required to pay the 2 diagnosis costs. They refused to wave one of the $180 diagnostics fees. I called the extended warrantee company and they informed us that the cost that Paul Clark Ford was extremely high compared to the standard costs listed. Also, the $180 for each diagnosis for both items Are way overpriced. Therefore, I had to pay the difference and our out-of-pocket cost was $351 to only get a $25 hood latch replaced. Other issues that are concerning at Paul Clark Ford: He would not release the truck until the warrantee company paid them. He also said that the technician physically checked the vehicle and mentioned that the spark plugs and antifreeze needed to be replaced at extremely high prices. Obliviously they did not check, because they were both done within the last month. I requested for the $180 tire sensor diagnostics to be waved as a courtesy, but they did not. This is a poor business practice. I never asked them to diagnose, prior to any work. They did not call me and tell me that there was a $360 charge. The service manager was not pleasant and was very difficult to talk to and lied about our discussions. When we requested to speak to the manager, they said she was too busy. She did come out to look at the advertisement monitor that was not working. Is that more important then their customers? Was never given the defective hood latch that was replaced. This is standard practice in most repair shops. Finally, I am now retired. I was a quality control manager and director since the 80's in the Auto, Aerospace, Medical and Distribution companies and would never have treated a customer like this.

I only had a par of pliers and a few men giggled and asked asked how I would get it off the car. I was handed apiece of paper, after doing research on the site ahead of time for the car and year I needed to match. My row was 144. It was a long sledge walk in slides ( I was fed up with calling around at that point). I found the row , and some comical roasts along the way ( see photo) but the actual models that fit my car were destroyed or already taken. I found a similar model that seemed to fit the measurements .. until I got back to my car. The part was $4. I paid in cash. I was given a receipt but told the part is as is. They gave me a fair offer right away and sent a driver to the tow yard to pick up my car. He handled everything and handed me a check on the spot.
