Last night, there was a party with a live band (particularly terrible drummer BTW) right under our room until after midnight. It was so loud in our room that we couldn't watch a movie, talk to each other, or sleep. We could only put in earplugs and wait for it to be over. I could still hear all the lyrics through the earplugs, that's how loud it was. We are leaving a day early, even though we have already paid for tonight's room, because last night was so miserable. The hotel has effectively made this first floor room unusable on nights when the club right under it is open (W-Sa), and we were certainly not informed when we booked at their full price rate that this VERY LOUD party would be happening basically IN OUR ROOM UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT. Just ridiculous. I would not book the New Orleans Hotel first-floor suite again and would not recommend it to anyone else. As far as what the hotel should do to improve this problem: do not rent this suite out on nights when you are having loud parties right under it, and refund my money for this unusable hotel room.

The linens and towels were nice, but the mattress in our room has seen its better days. It was completely caved in along the edge where you sit to get into bed and in the middle and while comfy soft it was impossible to sleep on your stomach. After first night I asked if we could have another room or if perhaps the mattress could be flipped. They said another room was not open, so they would flip the mattress. This only brought a little relief as I still couldn't sleep on my stomach and now the mattress sloped from the middle to the pillow area, elevating from the middle of the bed to our feet. No idea how the other room mattresses were. If you are a side or back sleeper perhaps this would be no issue for you. We slept in the Notebook room.

The decor of the room I booked contained Branson history and added to the entire charm of my trip to Branson. There were so many thoughtful extras such as a coffee maker with extras for the coffee, the cutest vintage Branson mugs, a few snacks, information on area attractions, shampoo and conditioner and even a small first aid kit and extra toothbrush. In addition to the coffee maker, there was also a clean mini fridge. Each room has a newer t.v. with several channels and it was simple to keep the room at a perfect temperature even in mid-August! This room is walking distance to many great restaurants, the Landing, downtown Branson and nightlife is easily accessible as well. The manager of the property shared some history of the Landmark Inn. This building used to be the train station and they have intentionally kept a lot of that history alive within the walls at the Landmark Inn that adds to the charm. I was able to view a few of the different rooms and the 2-bedroom apartment downstairs. I'm thinking the apartment would be fantastic for any larger gathering as I believe they said it will accommodate 6 or more people (be sure to confirm with host) and has a living area, kitchen and bedrooms. I was able to drink coffee and catch up on emails on the patio both mornings. Ordered DoorDash for breakfast and walked to dinner. You just can't beat the location, cleanliness, historic charm preserved throughout, thoughtful details included and communication with the host was top notch. I can't wait to return to Branson and book my next stay at the Landmark Inn.

I absolutely hate when hotels do this. The bad-and why I couldn't give this place four stars, the mattress was horribly uncomfortable. I overheard some guest complaining about the elevators. My partner went to the desk to add a night on to our stay but was accused of lying about how long we had a pet on the property. The young man at the front desk followed her back to the room, tried to enter the room while I was not fully dressed and in the bathroom, told us to leave immediately at 9:30am or he was calling the police. He sat on the stoop next to our door to survey us getting all our belongings out in a hurry. I asked him why he was there and asked him to leave multiple times. He didn't leave. He wouldn't leave. He wasn't making sense when we tried to reason with him. We left the property in such stress and in a huge hurry because we were fleeing. It was traumatic and violating and they should be reported to the police, the city, the BBB and especially any women who would consider staying here. We plan to take action but wanted to write a review quickly so others could be warned. Also it's important that women know - It's a highly surveyed hotel, with cameras obviously outside. The employee evicted us, and monitored us threateningly at the door of our room the entire time we were trying to pack up, brush our teeth, change out of pajamas, etc.... He would not leave (I asked him multiple times to leave) and the door was open often because we were frantically getting our belongings out. I felt like he was trying to see me in a state of undress because he evicted us when I was obviously in my house clothes, then tried to enter the room and also stood at the door while we were vacating.
