I saw several negative reviews and was very nervous about my stay here. Me and my girlfriend stayed four nights five days. The good- dog friendly with no pet fee. I think most hotels are in the game of nickel and dime(ing) you, but I never felt that way here. The breakfast in the morning is good. There is an elderly gentleman that works in the kitchen who we enjoyed chatting with. Finally, no incidental fee up front. This is such a scam that hotels do just to get a few extra bucks. I absolutely hate when hotels do this. The bad-and why I couldn't give this place four stars, the mattress was horribly uncomfortable. I overheard some guest complaining about the elevators. We were on the ground flour so that wasn't an issue for us. To close, we liked it here. No surprise fees and very affordable rates (150ish) a night. read more

Beautiful hotel! All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The common areas and the rooms are beautifully decorated. In Grand Victorian we stayed on October 1-6, 2025. The hotel is non-smokable. However, BALCONIES are actually SMOKABLE. We were unlucky to have smoking neighbor right below our room. Smoke was going up to our balcony. It was impossible to sit on our balcony because of smoke. Moreover, because of smoke we didn't open the balcony door. Several times, in the morning after breakfast, I contacted on-duty staff at the front desk and asked to take measures to solve the problem. Very nice place to stay! Very, very clean and comfortable! Nice atmosphere. Continental breakfasts were yummy except for the eggs. Stayed for 3 days and they had different options each day. If you are gluten free, there are some options available and I did not get sick. Cool feature is that they serve afternoon tea and cookies. Previous reviews mentioned that an employee, Don being unfriendly. Although he is not initially a warm and fuzzy person, we had several interactions with him and he was friendly and offered suggestions for our visit. The room price was very reasonable compared to other places. Mention was made of small bathrooms. Since what you do in the bathroom is poop and shower, what more room do you need and it was extremely clean. Beautiful, clean hotel with friendly, eager staff. Rear building entry from parking lot is open without need to use a swipe card, which felt a little unsafe. However, that entrance/exit is the path to the outdoor pool, so that may be the rationale. Our fifth floor room felt small-- partly because of the space absorbed by the dormer. The room remained hot even with the AC set at 68. That made it very uncomfortable overnight. We had 2 beds in our room and the one closest to the AC had a comfortable mattress, but it had been rolled out of by many before us so that the mattress sides were sloped. Side-sleepers, beware. I fell out twice, nearly cracking my head on the sharp corner of the nightstand. The phone was not plugged in because the jack was cracked so had to hold the cord in place with one hand to call the front desk. They were alerted to it, so hopefully that's fixed for future visitors. Although our room didn't have a balcony, most other rooms did and we saw many visitors using theirs. The location is central to Branson theaters and the 24 hour Denny's next door is literally steps away from the indoor pool but that door is an exit only so return to the hotel is a little longer. read more

Pros Game room with cool video games and table ice hockey Comfortable beds Comfortable sofas Nice layout of rooms to give extra space to walk around King sized tub - this could be fun! It has nice water jets. Unfortunately we were only there a day so I didn't try it but it was very clean. They provided a cute stool to climb into the bed because it was high up. I honestly don't think I would've fit in the bed if I wasn't using the stool. It is much higher than it looks and I'm rather short. Updated hardware in the bathrooms that matches the style of the room. Nice black out curtains and lace curtain combo so if you want light in you have an option to still have the curtains closed. Excellent location. It's near shopping, shows and restaurants. Room for improvement - cons Tv was not a smart television so you couldn't watch apps or log into internet tv apps. Tv was on a mount but it wouldn't allow the tv to turn toward the bed. The angle made it where you needed to sit on the sofa to watch the tv. The bathroom hardware was updated but the bathroom was still outdated with a bath fitters style cover over the tile. Working fridge but it freezes stuff solid no keep cool options. Overall it was a very clean room and we appreciated it. We will return and we will have tea in the lobby and relax in the tub! read more

All they needed from me at arrival was my drivers license. It's smack in the middle of town. We were able to throw things off or come back for a bathroom break. The room was very put together. Plenary of pillows and towels. The bathroom had a nice tall shower and an elongated toilet bowl. Most of the rooms feature a balcony, which is always a bonus! I recommend a balcony on the back because the front has a large plywood billboard in the way. The outlets SUCK!!! Be prepared to use a multi outlet or rotate charging. They offer a free breakfast buffet which was pretty decent. The hotel also offered tea and cookies in the afternoon! read more

Don't listen to any of the negative reviews. More than likely they're being paid, working with a different hotel or just looking to hurt the hotel! We've stayed in this hotel several times per year and it's been nothing but clean, comfortable and has a great breakfast. My wife and I, my cousin and my mother-in-law have stayed here and all have said the exact same thing I'm saying now. The rooms are always clean. The bathrooms are always clean. The beds are always comfortable and the pillows are always fluffy. The air conditioners are always nice and cold! The balconies, if you get one are always clean and have a very nice view. The indoor pool is nice, clean and cold just the way I like it. My wife and my cousin like to use the Jacuzzi and it's always clean, nice and hot. The outdoor pool is also always clean and depending on the weather it's either cool in the mornings, if you like that or later in the afternoon it does get warm, but it is always clean and they take care of it making sure the pH balance is right. The maintenance crew, cleaning crew and the front desk folks make sure that place stays running as great as it does. The breakfast every morning is awesome. I along with my wife, cousin and Mother-In-Law always look forward to the breakfast each morning! Tea & cookies in the afternoons in the lobby between 2pm-4pm! My wife always loves the tea and cookies! If you're looking for a great, nice looking, clean and comfortable hotel, this is the place. Their rates are just like any other hotel and sometimes cheaper. This hotel should easily be a four or five star hotel! Be careful with what reviews you believe. Some of us have actually stayed at the hotel we're reviewing and have been there many times per year without any issues whatsoever! Can't wait to come back again! It is a no for me! Overcharged for rooms that need updated. Both tub and sink had leaks that were annoying. Also very inconvenient was the fact that you had to either request linens/toiletries by 10 am daily or go down to front desk to get. Cleaning service as in trash pickup-bed making or towel/toiletry replacement does not occur at all during your stay. Trust me you pay as though it does!!! Too many other options to stay so will doubt I will do this again for the price!! read more

We booked a room with two queen beds and a whirlpool tub for our 25th anniversary. We needed two beds due to my restless leg syndrome. When we arrived we found that we had been "upgraded" to a king with a whirlpool, so I spent my anniversary trip sleeping on a couch. I booked to room I wanted 4 months in advance and they thought it was OK to take it away and "upgrade" me without asking. The outside of the hotel was pretty and it looks like they are trying to be a fancy hotel, but the rooms were very outdated. I've stayed in Super 8 hotels with better rooms. My cheap keycard got erased, even though I kept it away from my phone. When I went to the desk, the clerk said, "What did you do to it?" The correct response should have been, "I am sorry sir, let me fix that for you." Also, he reprogramed my key without checking on the computer or asking for my ID. Major safety and security violation. The breakfast was trying hard to be nice, with real plates and all, but the food was subpar. Also, there was a hotel staff member in the breakfast area complaining to current guests about past guests loud enough for everyone to hear. Very bad form. If you want to be a nice hotel, get you reservations right, update your rooms, and train your staff to be be nice hotel nice staff. If you want to be cheap motel that looks like a nice hotel, you are going the right way. read more

THEY HAVE BED BUGS DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Absolutely appalled by my surroundings the more that I think about it. The outside of the hotel may look very nice, but please don't let that fool you. My large family and I stayed not even for a night. Our stay was interrupted by me discovering one giant BED BUG. who had clearly had a few feasts. But there's more to the hotel than the stains on the bed sheets and the broken vending machines. As I searched for an item that I dropped, I didn't only find my charger, but I also found nail clippings. We packed our stuff and left immediately at the lovely time of 2:30 am. As we checked out, the desk manager decided that she knew it "was a beetle". It was very clear to see that it was NOT a beetle. Along with terrible customer service and a dirty room, we received no hot water after only 2 showers that were taken hours before. Absolutely no responsibility taken at this atrocious hotel. This hotel for us was "free" because of points accumulated on a card of ours. The entrance and driving up to it was pretty neat. Nice big signs.. cool old school 1800's era type building. But once you go inside, you feel the effort to keep a somewhat "victorian" vibe was barely even there. It's dated, and not even in a purposeful way. Morning staff was ok, afternoon staff seemed decent, so no real experience with rudeness. The breakfast was pretty terrible. Watery eggs, and then just really nothing else... Rooms were clean, but musty smelling. Every room had a little porch which was cool. But besides that, nothing to great to tell about. Pros: Rooms were clean, cool. Indoor swimming pool was actually pretty decent. Cons: Dated, haphazard breakfast and overall feel. In the end, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone staying in Branson. I mean, there's worse hotels, but this isn't worth it if you can afford another place. read more

We will not be staying here again. After returning from dinner and getting ready for bed I noticed my prescription medication was missing. I contacted the front desk clerk and she said we need to speak with the manager in the morning. We did, and she had a key card audit ran on our door and it showed that an employee had entered our room at 3:41pm while we were out. She offered no apology all she said was that they could not prove who entered our room so there was nothing they could do. So I then contacted their corporate manager and he basically said the exact same thing. read more

When we finally decided to use them after accumulating 14 stays ( a free night only requires 10 stays) the shift manager sayS THAT THE COUPONS ARE NOT GOOd ON WEEKENDS. We have always stayed at this place, never questioning the cost, the quality of the lumpy mattresses or loud running undisciplined children in the halls. I signed up for expedia. I have stayed here several times in the past few years. This stay, we are in a room facing the front. The outside balcony light can not be turned off. If light bothers you, as it does me, the black or curtains do not shut all the way still allowing bright light in. Found a used washcloth on the shower curtain rod when we checked in. Things like that really make me question the cleaning. There is also dirt and dust on the baseboards in the bathroom. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and beds are super comfortable. The bottom of the indoor pool was so slick we literally lost our footing. My son went to use the bathroom in the game room and the toilet was disgusting. There is trash in the parking lot and on sidewalks that has been there for several days. From now on, I will stick with Marriott properties. This cost about the same and the quality was definitely not anywhere close. read more

This hotel was in a fabulous location, pet friendly and the price was good. So despite the meh reviews we tried it and loved our experience. Bathrooms are a little small, our room got a little musty but with 2 kids and a dog there's a lot going on. Our room was spacious enough and clean. I loved that every room has a balcony even on the first floor. We didn't try the indoor pool but the outdoor one was clean and clear, always stocked with clean towels. Breakfast was amazing and staff was wonderful and friendly to all guests. Bob in particular was great and suggested we check out Top of the Rock which was the greatest excursion of our trip. I would absolutely stay here next time we visit Branson. read more

What a disappointing experience. Unlike the Internet offering, service is nonexistent! No sit down breakfast, slow, slow, slow Internet, beds are bad and other amenities are average to below average. There was a take to your room breakfast but it was really bad. They should cut the room price by $10 and do away with breakfast. I was going to do some work from the room but Internet was so slow I gave up. If you don't sleep in the middle of the bed, you'll roll off! Horrible! Stayed for my second time at Grand Victoria Hotel, still nice clean rooms, friendly staff, but with the Covid 19 protocols, there was no daily room service inside the room, had to daily request fresh towels from the desk, ( freely provided with a smile). Also had to ask for trash cans to be emptied. Once again with a smile staff changed the liners once we brought the can to the door. Breakfast was good and fresh prepared in a grab and go style food containers for heating by microwave to eat in your room. In spite of Covid 19 protocols it was a good stay. Can't wait for things getting back to normal. Like the old days. We did the Silver Dollar City Park and the White Water water park and found them also having Covid 19 protocols in place, masks, etc. Almost no crowds during the week but a little heavier traffic on Saturday at Silver Dollar City. read more

The property is very outdated to charge over a hundred a night on a Monday. However, it offered 2 pools & a breakfast buffet. So we figured it was worth it. However, pancake machine was out of order, ran out of waffles, no syrup, no fruit & no milk for cereal. Supposedly the guy in charge of ordering was out of town. Not my fault & management offered the eggs & sausage as the only option, not so much a buffet. Not even a, "Hey, sorry about that, busy day!" No apology & not even friendly. To top it off both pools were full of water but closed fir maintenance. Very dissatisfied & disappointed. This is a huge 5 story white structure overlooking a deep valley. I have an outside balcony with so chairs. I can see for miles. The interior has lavish Victorian furnishings. The interior is very clean and well maintained. It is almost next door to the Tanger Outlet Mall and near several music theaters. read more

I am writing this review because it was very challenging to find a hotel that I trusted in the area, and I took a chance with this location. I was not disappointed. I stayed at this hotel last weekend for a trip to Silver Dollar City. It was not the best, but it was enough. It was clean, the staff was very polite and the room was well appointed. What I found most interesting about this hotel was that it strived to be more upscale that it is could ever be. For example the name alone... but aside from that they have a daily tea service, the two story lobby has some nice (dated) furniture, and it seems like once upon time this hotel was truly an upscale experience. In the hotel's attempts to be 'grand,' it rose above subpar. It is centrally located on one of the main strips in Branson, which made it easy to get to neighboring attractions. For the price and location this was a great choice. If I ever return to Branson, I would consider returning to this hotel. read more

The pictures are nice and you get a fair price but remember you get what you pay for. If you are expecting any kind of customer service while you're there you can forget it. For example.... when we got home, I realized I left the charger to my video camera in the room so I called the first thing the next morning. Now I know what you're thinking. My bad. You are right. But I expected that someone would simply check the room. I called Don three times over the next 6 hours before they told me cleaning finally got around to telling them that they didn't find anything. I have ordered another charger due to my mistake. No problem. But my friends, it should never have taken six hours and three phone calls for them to basically blow me off. The rooms are big and clean and extremely gorgeous . The other reviews are insane . Yes the Internet doesn't work but the hotel is lovely . The price isn't the cheapest but you get a nice room and a porch to sit and look out . The bathroom is oddly shaped and the toilet is really loud . The staff is very friendly and polite . In my opinion I think you could get the same quality room at a super 8 or somewhere like that for a lot less . read more

I'm giving Hotel Grand Victorian two stars for decor, location & size of the room. The building on the outside is like you're staying at a grand plantation house. It is absolutely gorgeous. The inside is just as grand. There's a seating area in the lobby with a grand piano. Then a curved staircase that leads you upstairs to the commons area. In the commons area there is a self serve coffee spot. A perfect place to catch up with new found friends or family. The hotel offers two pools; one inside and then another outside, same with hot tubs Sadly,their hospitality is lacking the victorian charm. The complementary breakfast was awful. We found ants in our room. We told the front desk they acted more put out that they had to send someone to spray our room. They did not offer us a new room. By the end of our stay those ants were in our bed. Never again! read more

I really give The Grand Victorian 2.5 stars. It is a nice, clean hotel. I found our double room very comfy with plenty of space and lots of amenities including a microwave and fridge. My friend visiting from California and I enoyed the grand staircase and the pleasant front desk staff. There are some cons, however. The hot breakfast is marginal; I think the eggs were powdered. And the really strange thing is that there was no fan in the bathroom toilet and shower section. We were told they just went 'smoke free' so I guess they feel they don't need fans in a room prone to odors and steam. Me and my friend felt differently! My family stayed here for a weekend back in March. The room and lobby are clean. The outdoor perimeter was clean and well landscaped. It was nice to have a small balcony. The hotel had an indoor pool. It was great to have the pool for my wife and three children but the pool was very cloudy and needed to be cleaned. We enjoyed the hot tub. You could not see the bottom of the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful, except they did not have any knowledge of local eateries when I asked where my family could go for local food that was not a chain. When I asked they offered Pizza Hut. When you go to breakfast, be sure to go early. It is very crowded and there is no walking room in the dining area. The staff was great on keeping up with breakfast. The breakfast was hot and fresh. One employee in particular, Jackie, worked VERY HARD at her job and doing it well. She was friendly, courteous, and fast. I hope she will be commended for her job well done. Overall we would stay here again and would recommend it to families. read more

Been visiting Branson for many years. The Grand Victorian is the best place to stay.. We have stayed at all most all hotel/motels in Branson and none compare to the Victorian. From the front desk to housekeep friendliness is overwhelming . SO many extras ,indoor outdoor pool hot tube game room, private balcony's , clean comfortable rooms , décor . and the breakfast buffet is superb ,so many choices and tasty. And the staff working the buffet are so helpful. May cost a bit more than some worth every penny. read more

If I could give them a zero star rating I would. We had things come up missing from our room. We had our "do not disturb" sign on the door and they still entered. They hooked up a device to see if anyone entered while we were gone and it showed that one of they're staff member did enter our room. Even though they hooked up the device and it proved that someone did come in our room without our permission and they still did absolutely nothing about it. So if you want people to enter your room without permission and take whatever they want and them do nothing about it, this is the place for you! I guess they have zero cameras in the hallways. So if someone does enter you room rather your they're or not you won't be able to prove it. Also they do have WIFI but it doesn't work. They have a TV but you need a magnifying glass to see it. Tiniest bathroom I've ever seen. Trust me save your money, go to a different hotel! read more

There is nothing GRAND about the Hotel Grand Victorian. The front desk staff are RUDE, the free breakfast is disgusting, and the parking lot is built on the side of a hill. If I hadn't prepaid for 3 nights in this hotel I would have left as soon as I stepped inside of it. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. This hotel does an absolutely perfect job of accommodating in a tourist town. The rooms are cute, clean, and complete with balconies, refrigerators, and microwaves. The breakfast is way beyond what most hotels have- real eggs, hash browns, sausage, fresh salsa and pico; fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles and pastries... Plus juice, coffee, and tea. There is ample parking and both an indoor and outdoor pool. The location is PRIME, and I got nothing but professional, friendly service. It is usually FULL, as is always the case in Branson, so get to breakfast early. read more

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We chose it based on price, location (though we had never been to Branson and weren't entirely sure what was a "good" location), and positive reviews on a well-known travel website. We were specifically looking for a hotel with breakfast, WiFi, and a fitness room. When we arrived late in the afternoon, the front desk person was decent, though not overly friendly. Our room was a double queen on the 5th floor- it was nice enough, but somewhat worn and outdated. The bathroom is VERY small and awkwardly laid out- it worked ok for us, but anyone with a larger build or mobility issues would really have a hard time. Most hotels have a binder/book in the rooms containing information such as hours and rules for the pool and fitness center, breakfast times, how to connect to WiFi, etc. There was nothing like this in the room, which was slightly annoying. Right when we arrived my fiance went down to use the fitness room and I was planning to go online and figure out a place to go for dinner. This was a terrible plan because, as a previous reviewer noted, the WiFi does not actually work. In fact, it did not work for the entire time we were there. And within a few minutes, my fiance was back in the room, unable to work out because the treadmill in the fitness room was broken (and to clarify, the "fitness room" is really just a small room with 3 old broken down machines and a really old tv). So within 30 minutes of getting there, we were already pretty disappointed. The next morning we went down to breakfast- we found it to be ok for a free breakfast, but nothing special. The coffee was especially horrible, and there were no bagels, yogurt, or fruit (other than canned). When we got back to the room to get ready for the day, we discovered that the hair dryer in the room was completely useless. It puts out warm air, but no power, so it does nothing to actually dry your hair. So I had to go three days with damp, air dried hair. Luckily it was not colder outside or this would have been a bigger problem. Other issues we encountered were that the TV in the room was poor quality and the top of the picture was cut off (not a huge deal since we weren't there to watch TV, but a minor annoyance), the sheets on the beds are poor quality, and the beds themselves are not very comfortable. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel. It's ok if you are looking for just a really basic place to sleep, but if you want actual amenities, you would want to stay somewhere else. read more
