Baguettes are somewhat of a cliche, you know the stuff... Walking down a quaint Parisian Street with a beret and a baguette under your arm while Edith Piaf sings in the background.... Well, in this little bakery they are really worth the hype!
They have repeatedly won the best baguette in Paris award and supply them to the Elysee ( where the president lives ;) ) , so you could say this is the real deal.
They are like nothing you have tasted yet, crispy on the outside but soft and fragrant on the inside, with that tangy note on the crust that distinguishes a good baguette!
And the pastries are amazing too, the croissant au beurre still hunts my dreams and all the others I have tried just don't get even close to this flaky buttery goodness.
Now you may say I'm getting a bit over excited about bread, but believe me you will be too, and for God's sake you're in France if you don't get worked up about food then you're doing it wrong! read more
