Belgium Waffles: Nutella, Strawberries, Whipped Cream
    Natasia K.

This place is a MUST if you are looking for Belgium Waffles! My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in Brussels and were unaware of any good places to eat. We stumbled across this Belgium Waffles restaurant and it definitely exceeded our Belgium Waffle experience. It was a cute 2 story diner, with a more than average noise level. Our waiter was kind and made sure he took our exact orders of what we wanted on our waffles. The waffles were thick and fluffy and I loved how we can add anything we wanted on each waffle. Don't miss out while visiting Brussels! We will be back again!

We stopped by here for lunch during our quick day trip to Brussels from Paris, and this was the perfect place. It gives the "American Diner vibe" in which it is very laid back, has lots of food options, and has excellent service. The food ranged from sandwiches to waffles, to fries, and to beers. I had my first experience of Belgium fries here, and I was not disappointed. I love the thickness and potatoey feel, and I love the large size of these fries. I also had a raspberry beer, and wow, it was amazing! It tasted like cider, but less sweet, and it was definitely a one-of-a-kind beer. I also ordered a Croque madame, and the portion sizes were large. It was basically 2 sandwiches (4 pieces of bread) + salad. I really like the atmosphere. We woke up very early in the morning to catch a train from Paris to Brussels, and then we did a lot of walking and exploring, so when we got there, we were tired and hot. The inside was at a very good temperature, and there was a lot of ventilation. There was also free fast wifi, which was a lifesaver because we did not realize that our phone card that we bought in Paris did not provide Cellular Data in Belgium, so we were in need of directions/subway routes.

It was around 9pm and we were craving waffles. We walked from our hotel and came across this place since it was really busy. A cool perk was the free WiFi and fast service! My only complaint is the seating seems to be a little crowded or maybe the tables have been shifted to allow friends to sit together but multiple times, we had to get up to let people get to other tables. My fiancé ordered the liege waffle with Nutella and strawberries and I ordered the liege waffle with pistachio ice cream. It was delicious. We also had an espresso and a latte with our waffles and it was perfect.

This waffle shop was in a fantastic location! The menu was large. The service was fast! WiFi and bathrooms were available. The milkshakes were beyond amazing!

Good place to buy a non too pricey waffle not far from the Grande Place. Service was quick & friendly, a waffle covered in Nutella was delivered. The waffle was consumed amongst the pigeons.

We drove up from France to come to Belgium for fries and waffles. We were so excited to try the place fries came from. The waffles here were very good the kids really liked it. Good find.

I am giving this place high marks because the service was extremely fast, very casual and friendly staff. I had the mixed green salad which was a small portion size. For me, the size was perfect because I wanted to indulge the sweets. The waffle was light, fluffy and not too flaky. Yes, it's a waffle and I am sure I will pay for it from a calorie perspective, but it didn't feel like I was consuming a soggy oil based waffle. They did put a lot of whipped cream. Overall, very cool spot to eat. If you want to do some "people watching" you can sit outside.

Location I'm at is a bit to the east if the map Needed a waffle for dessert at 930p. Most place I looked for were closed, but this place is going sting at this hour. Waffle is pretty good. Had the bananas and whipped cream. Wish they had some recommended combinations, so I didn't have to guess. It's my first and I don't have a reference to compare to, but it's good. Toppings are individually a la carte....and pretty pricey.

Service was good, food was good, atmosphere was good. Nothing over the top but overall decent experience! I would say this is a nice place for the family to take a break from walking and sit down and eat. Waffles were decent but I have definitely had better elsewhere in Bruxelles.

This wasn't very good. I would not come back. The chicken is as very dry and my salad was about the size of a tablespoon.

We came here for the Belgian waffle. Service was pretty good and the waffle was tasty, though a bit on the small side.

The owner is so passionate and friendly and tries to strike up a conversation with every single customer, no matter where they're from. I thought the customer service was next level. As for the sandwich, I want to preface that I don't eat regular sandwiches. I'm super picky and usually just get meat and cheese. NOTHING else. So his sandwiches weren't really my style. They looked very good but I know I wouldn't enjoy it if I just ordered off the menu. He puts a ton of fruits and cheeses into your sandwich and asks a bunch of questions of what you like before putting it together. I went for a blue cheddar cheese and since I wasn't getting anything else, he cut a gigantic chunk for my sandwich. The only downside is I think the only meat he uses is small salami slices. He put in triple the amount he usually puts but the cheese still took over the whole sandwich (I ended up buying more meat from the grocery store to fill it up). Every sandwich he makes is the same price and comes with a drink. I wanna say that his normal sandwiches are probably amazing. Mine was okay after I added all the meat into it. I also didn't eat it right away. But I think the customer service itself should receive 5 stars.

There were 4-6 people in front of us. It took us about an hour waiting. I hate to keep harping on the wait time but setting expectations is key. There is even a story posted on the window about the wait time. So why the wait? Tonton Graby provides individual attention. You can order off their limited menu or just talk to him about your feelings, likes, and dislikes. From there, you get a tailored cheese sandwich exceeding any expectations you might have built up. You don't pay until you've at least tasted it - even if you opt'd for take out. "If you don't like it, I'll eat it" the owner will tell you. You might opt for fruit or veggies on top. You can add meat. There is a small area to eat in if like us you were in no hurry. A sandwich with meat ran 9 euros as of this writing. They accept credit but prefer cash. Enjoy!

Was so looking forward to our return trip to Brussels and visiting Catherine's. Over our week long stay we managed 3 visits to pick up cheese, freshly sliced deli meat, bead and made to order sandwiches. The cheeses that we selected were so very fresh and the selection to choose from was amazing. Of course my favorite was the truffle. We picked up sandwiches on two occasions and they were basically the same. The second one Catherine added a new little taste with the addition of three small roasted peppers. We had forgotten to ask for arugula and Catherine asked if we wanted it on this one...what a memory. Catherine's is a small place and always very busy. Quality shines throughout. The customers are almost all locals...another great sign. We noticed that when there were about three people inside that the patrons formed a line out of the door. Think out of respect for Catherine. Wish we had had a quality shop like Catherine's in metro Atlanta. We would drive to experience this and here in the hustle and bustle of Brussels there is a gem. Highly recommend. Prices are extremely reasonable. Can't wait to return...sooner than later. Thanks Catherine.

This location is at the center of a lot of the major tourist attractions and is therefore great if you're looking for a quick, on-the-go breakfast or lunch without having to sit down (though that is still an option). Panos is a chain bakery/sandwich shop and was recommended by one of the aunties. Stuff you can find here includes sandwiches, wraps, soups, sweet and savory pastries, individual loaves and rolls, salads, coffee, and hot chocolate. Super basic, but high-quality stuff compared to a lot of other chain bakery places we saw as we traveled through Europe. Some of those sweet pastries were just really fancy looking for what's supposed to apparently be a very basic place, while even the basic stuff tasted really delicious. Their croissants were also super delicious, and I thought the raspberry croissant was particularly interesting. This particular location is on the street branching just off Grote Markt (Grand Place) and just across from the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert's southern entrance. It was near where we were supposed to meet up with our tour group, so we dropped by very quickly to grab some breakfast. My chief memory of that morning was that their waffle honestly made me feel better about the first half of the day.
