I have been going to Ava wellness MD now for over a year. I went there because I needed IV therapy and biweekly injections to treat Lyme disease and co-infections. Dr. Blay and nurse Brenda are professional and knowledgeable. Nurse Brenda usually does all my IVs and injections. She is very skilled in what she does. She is a very caring and kind person and goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and receive the treatment that I need. This place is AHHHMAZING! Dr Blay was phenomenal and I'm coming back monthly for IV therapy treatments. They are so professional and knowledgeable. The ladies up front are so sweet and nice they got me in quickly and took such great care of me. I have been using another IV place for a year but it's not as convenient for me, I found Ava on Yelp and went for my first visit today. I am flying to go on vacation in two days so i got a little concerned about this crazy vivid and other viruses. I wanted a Vit C drip. Called in the morning. Booked for 12:30 today. Walked in filled out typical medical forms. They took me to a patient room (very neat and clean) and the doctor came in right away discussed what I needed he was so knowledgeable on vitamins and infusion etc. he answered all my questions and didn't try rushing with me which i appreciate. He was a doc at a major hospital for years so he knows A LOT. We decided what I wanted to do and he hooked up my IV even offered to numb me if I needed (I didn't need it he was gentle I barely felt anything) I sat in a chair and it took less than an hour for the IV to go in with all the vitamins I picked Vit C, glutathione, b complex, magnesium (I think that was it) and then I was unhooked and the nurse came and gave me a free Vit B 12 shot in my butt area. She was gentle as well. Vit b12 always burns a tiny bit for a few mins but it's no biggie. This entire expert was excellent and professional I HIGHKY RECOMMEND this place. I made an appointment and she failed to tell me that piece of information and did not confirm the location. This review is long overdue!!! I have been going to WL Wellness and saw a flyer for the RESET program at AVA Wellness,which is the officejust right next door to it. This year I wanted to overhaul my body to combat inflammation. I started doing acupuncture and moxibustion to boost up my immune system and increase my energy level and it's been working great. I felt the RESET program would be a great complementary to what I'm already doing so I signed up for it. I had my first appointment with Jackie today and she was fantastic! Jackie started me with a body composition test where I stepped on a machine to weigh-in and scan my whole body. The results were detailed and comprehensive. I received a print out that gave me information on my bodyfat compositionthat was much more accurate than the one I got at the gym. What was so helpful was the reading of my total body water which tells me if I am drinking enough water and staying hydrated, which I'm not. It also measures fluid retention intracellularly versus extracellularly and my results supported that I probably do have inflamation. Jackie explained these results very clearly to me and she was easy to understand. Then she proceeded to talk to me about my diet, what foods to eat and what to avoid. She gave me a binder with foods to shop for and daily recipes. She talked to me about my exercise program. She is very knowlegeable on nutrition and exercise and answered all of my questions in a way that was easy to understand. She also sent me to the lab to get a complete panel on hormones , vitamins and minerals testing. She said Dr. Blay will meet with me to interpret my results. But the best part is Jackie will be my support system through this process and I see her weekly for 4 weeks so she can monitor my progress by repeating the body composition test. read more
