I lost 35 lbs on the diet in about 3 months! These are great results, and I used to think it was not possible to lose this much weight so fast, but it is. I'll post a picture when time permits. It was easy to follow the plan, but of course it took effort and determination not to fall off the wagon, and not to cheat. The plan is restrictive but fulfilling, so there are no hunger pains, no feeling weird, weak, and good energy in the body. I did experience something called "ketosis blues,", i.e. my emotional energy was not very high. But in spite of being on such a low calorie diet, I maintained my huge work and family responsibilities just fine. I've been strict and followed the protocol to the T, and it worked great and fast. I took one star off my review because I found the counseling support at Los Gatos office way below par, eventually I was forced to transfer to a different office. There are many offices in the Bay area which offer IP. However, it is not a reflection on the diet, which is great. I had to come off the diet after three months due to a family emergency and before I reached my goal weight. During next two months I was not following the protocol, and did not gain anything back, actually lost some more weight. Last week (I'm writing this update in August 2016), I started my second stage of the diet, and I only have to lose 15 lb! I highly recommend this program to anyone struggling with weight loss, going on yo-yo patterns of losing/gaining, or having a hard time on their own. I can't speak highly enough about this program. It's more than just a weight loss clinic. Losing the weight is a bonus. Its the support and knowledge you receive on how to live a happier and healthier you that I am grateful for. I see Renee for my weekly weigh in and she's kind and supportive but also tough and keeps me accountable when I need it. I walked into her clinic at age 53 5ft1inch weighing 161.2 lbs and 61.8lbs of that was FAT YUCK!! I carry all my weight in my mid section and had almost given up thinking I have no waist and it's just the way it's gonna be now that I'm old and my metabolism slowed down. I couldn't have been more wrong! I got down to 133.8lbs with moderate exercise like walking but the amazing part is that out of the total weight loss of 27.4lbs 25.2lbs of that was fat loss!!
