My Mom found a groupon for a foot detox here at Avanti Body. I walk past it all of the time to go to my chiropractor and thought it was just for weight loss, not also for detoxing, so that was exciting to learn this. The groupon deal was great... $23 for a 2 person foot detox. The building made me feel like I was in a mini spa; it was quiet and relaxing. My Mom and I were the only ones getting a foot detox at 2:15pm on a Tuesday, so it was nice to have that area to ourselves. We were also offered water while we soaked our feet for 30 minutes. The lady that helped us was kind, sweet and explained the process. I was worried that they would sell us with their other sessions since we came in on a Groupon, but they didn't. Great service, I could see a difference in the reduction of cellulite. My weight loss was not as much as I would have liked but I also was not focusing on that so I did not change my exercise or eating (not eating) in my case. I really loved the customer service that I received the day that I went in. I came in on a special that they were offering just to see what the hype was, that was on a Saturday. The next day I had a rash on both my legs. Both my legs were itching something awful. I contacted Avanti and was told by the manager that the lights did not cause this reaction. She asked me were the lights wet when they put them on me. I said I do not recall. She said more than likely if the lights were wet from them cleaning them with the hospital grade wipes that they use then that could have caused the rash on my legs. She apologized and said she would call back on Wednesday to check on me. Today is Friday and I have not heard anything from the manager at all. If you say you are going to do something then you should definitely follow through. So basically I paid to get a rash on both my legs. My legs aren't itching anymore but my skin hyper-pigmented so I'm waiting for that to go away. WARNING IF YOU GO TO AVANTI MAKE SURE THE LIGHTS ARE NOT WET WHEN THEY WRAP YOU IN THEM. Amazed at the things that lead people to leaving reviews! Sometimes it is a positive experience, other times it's a negative experience. For me, I have been an Avanti client for more than 2 years, off and on. My initial experience was to utilize the red-light therapy for my knee and joint pain. Not only was that experience amazing, but the results were much more than I could have imagined. I absolutely found significant relief with my knee pain, which led to increased mobility and flexibility, along with a huge bonus-- I lost over 30 lbs. of stubborn weight that had not moved in years over a period of about 5 months! Had it not been my own personal experience, no one could have convinced me that it was true. Unbelievable, but it happened! I went back after about 5 months for the same knee pain that gradually made its way back and lost another 16 lbs. in about 3 months, could have been less. Just wow! I have been meaning to leave a Yelp review since my first experience because I have nothing but praise for my experience with the facility, the owner Terri (who is absolutely amazing), Kenzie-who runs the place like the resident mother, and the highly trained and knowledgeable women who are there and at your service, every time and in all ways who make up the staff. I honestly find it extremely difficult to believe that anyone would have a less than fabulous experience at Avanti Body. This is what led me to leave a review now. Today, I was looking to see the hours for tomorrow (I never go on Saturday) because I plan to start my service again---yep! the knee is acting ugly again! I happened to see less than 5 star rating and out of curiosity, I read the THREE less than 4 star reviews. The one that moved me to write was the one suggesting that this facility is a scam. Well, there is nothing fraudulent about the pounds that are no longer attached to my body, or the relief of pain I experience when I am treated with red-light and have mobility that was not possible before. I do know that the nutritional program REQUIRES that the individual do their part. You MUST follow the regimen, which by the way is guided by a medical professional who happens be be a doctor, unlike the reviewer misstated. I would recommend that each person considering Avanti, or any similar treatment do their own research, which entails more than making decisions based on a singe negative review without knowing the unique experience of the reviewer, and what they did or DID NOT do which led to their negative experience. I had never had one but basically you soak your feet in salt water for 20-30 minutes then read a color chart that explains why you're water changed to the color it did. My water color made no sense whatsoever in relation to my lifestyle. I suppose this theory is like a hit and miss horoscope. Well.... Let's just say this. I decided to go get red light a couple times here this month. After that I decided never again. This place is very shady, they bribe their customers with free services if they leave 5 star reviews so NONE of their reviews are genuine or trustworthy. They give nutritional advice even though they are not nutritionists or doctors. This place feels like a big scam/ pyramid scheme.. You can hear everything while trying to relax under the red light since the walls don't go all the way to the ceilings. Don't come here unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars to lay on top of a crappy bed while listening to timers go off every 4 minutes, other's conversations, etc. HORRIBLE. Not luxury no matter how hard they try to fake it to make it. The owner, Terri, is very rude as well as the redhead and Joanne (I think that's what her name was) the workers at the front desk. Will roll their eyes or give attitude if you ask a simple question. DONT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANNA BE RIPPED OFF!!! Will never come back!! I stumbled across Avanti Body while going to the Chiropractor next door. I walked in and was given a tour and a free body scan, Kenzie walked me through how the whole program works, I did a little research on Red Light Therapy and heard all good things so I figured I would give it a try. I love it! It is very relaxing, they play guided meditations and offer a blue light for relaxing. I found that after a session I feel so rejuvenated and energized. I have had lots of success throughout my day after having a red light therapy session, I believe its because I am putting myself first and relaxing before I start work. I have had 3 sessions and I feel like I have seen improvement in my waistline along with the my skin tightening on my neck, thighs and stomach. I am excited to see what my future body looks like!
