While I've tried Chiropractic care in the past, the family atmosphere at Thrive Chiropractic has begun to heal my body and spirit. Dr. Alison took X-rays, fully explained my spine/vertabrae problems and potential treatments with love and humor. Dr. John (her husband) does firm but pain free adjustments. He also recommended other health changes that have made positive changes in me. This is the first place that I've done spinal decompression which is relaxing and pain free. They take my Kaiser insurance for adjustments but Kaiser doesn't cover the decompression treatments. This office is truly a family affair and all ages are welcome and they have a special area for kids/families. From the second you step into this office you know that it's different and loving. Been coming to Thrive for many years (I swore I had a review on here before but it has since disappeared). Dr. John and Dr. Allison are amazing. Dr. John is a miracle worker... when I was pregnant with my last child I had terrible sciatica pain that made it nearly impossible to walk, but after an adjustment with Dr. John I felt good as new. Any time I have any specific pain or issue I can come in and tell him about it and he will cater my adjustment to that problem. Dr. Allison is great with my kiddos and has adjusted them since they were babies; they always look forward to their adjustments. I can't say enough about the treatment I have been getting with Dr. John. He is the best in chiropractic care. I have felt a big difference in my overall health. My neck is more flexible, my shoulders are looser, and my waist feels less achy. I can sleep profoundly after my adjustments. I have noticed since my treatment began, my agility and flexibility has gone up 75% and this has been only in short period of time with consistent visits for adjustments. I was so impressed with my care that I also had my kid begin the wellness journey. We had the first visit with the team of gals who do the initial appt and then Dr. Allison explained thoroughly what to expect after the x-rays. We then were scheduled with a follow-up and a treatment plan for the care. She was patient, caring and empathetic towards my kids reason for being there in the first place. It was evident care was needed from a result of a car accident when they had got rear-ended with grandma. Dr. Allison offered to type up a letter for the physical ed teacher, since at times the pain is present when asked to walk or run several laps around the field at school. She followed through with a letter to be used when my kid needed to be excused from the activities of walking or running, and hoping there is an alternate activity that could get the credit equivalent to the walking/running without persisting an existing injury. It was after the explanation the first adjustment was done by Dr. John, he was so gentle and patient with my kid. My kid feels comfortable with Dr. John and it's evident that he is a pro with children. The overall improvement in the care that has been given has resulted in naps on the way home from how relaxed the adjustments make my kid feel. The increased profound sleep after adjustments is an overall plus!! No more tossing and turning as much and the treatment just barely began, the results have shown. Love going to Thrive Chiropractic. They honestly feel like family. Kids are so welcomed and loved here. Adjustments are quick and inexpensive (I get the 12 session package). Dr. John and Dr. Allison are always happy to serve, very authentic and so knowledgable. I see Dr. Allison for nutrition and she is always teaching me new things. I usually go in monthly to see how my body has changed and what new or different supplement(s) it needs. I change between muscle testing and Zyto scanning. Dr. A is always looking for the most reasonable and effective supplement or alternative for me to take. She is flexible too; if I want to skip a month or change what testing or limit how many supplements I buy, she is totally fine with that. I soak up her wisdom as she shares what she's experienced (with multiple kids) and what she's learned in school and continues to learn through ongoing education. Dr. A also adjusts my son (toddler) as he is walking around. When I am getting adjusted by Dr. John, Mila or Sophie (staff) will offer to hold, watch and play with my son. :) I almost always feel better right after an adjustment, and the 2 times I didn't, I contacted them and they encouraged me to come back in for another adjustment. Contrary to what we might think, body work can be painful as our body is being adjusted back to where it needs to be. Sure enough, more adjustments always help. I chose Thrive Chiropractic because Dr. John is Webster certified. I'm so thankful for this chiropractic office. This is my third pregnancy in 4 years but my first pregnancy receiving chiropractic care. I have yet to feel the same sciatica pain I suffered from in my first two pregnancies and I'm 35 weeks! I went overdue with my second and have read that Webster chiropractic care can help since everything will be in line for baby to come. I am confident this is going to help and I'll update my review once little one #3 arrives. After I got my first evaluation done my husband decided to be seen too. Their X-rays revealed that he could really benefit from adjustments. He got into a motorcycle accident several years ago that probably caused the issues. Although Thrive Chiropractic is very affordable we are on a strict budget since we're a one income household. My husband has been adjusted maybe 3 times but has come with me to almost all appointments. Not once has anyone tried to push for us to have him adjusted more often. The best part as a young parent is that they are super kid friendly! I have brought my 3 and 2 year old to every appointment. A few weeks in to my chiropractic care, we decide to have our 2 year old son seen as well to help with his eczema. Dr. Allison helped me eliminate certain foods from his diet, offered a supplement to help detox him and was patient in the first few weeks it took him to warm up to being adjusted. We pay just $5 for him (I'm not sure if all kids are this price but I'm confident that if you ask they'll be up front with you on cost) I'll be adding before and after pictures to this review. This review is long overdue. I was referred to Dr. John for a frozen shoulder last year. My Orthopedic Surgeon said that a frozen shoulder would take 12-18 months to unfreeze and have use of the arm again.  I went to see Dr. John 2-3 times a week for less than a month before I started having some movement return. Within 5 months I was back to 90% function in my shoulder, a full 7 months before expected. I 100% believe Dr. John was the reason for the early recovery. After a thorough history of my lower back ailment, she made a few radiographs, and I have to go back for a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan. I have asked my massage therapist for recommendations to receive chiropractic help with my back pain in Vacaville. One of the two sites was Thrive Chiropractic. During the first session Dr. Allison C. took extensive x-rays and provided me with her diagnostics. Her service was very professional and informative. I followed with 7 additional visits. There were 12-14 beds on the right had side of the office filled with patients. There was no privacy! You could hear treatment each patient was receiving. Dr. John C. treatment for each patient sounded exactly same. He had a hammer like device that would exert same force as he quickly exerted on most of the vertebrae. The process lasted approximately a minute, One laid on the bed for 10-15 minutes and then was asked to come back again by Dr. John C. Although most patients there are probably because of back issues, I serious;y doubt less that a minute touching some portions of the back bone is cure for all. I should have paid more attention to another review that that described the whole process as an assembly line! I am now receiving therapy from Dr. Taylor's office in Vacaville. They accept Kaiser members with $15.00 co-pay each visit (cheaper that that of Thrive Chiropractic). Patients are attended in individual rooms with privacy. Each visit starts with a 10-12 minutes massage therapy followed by 10-12 minutes of manipulation by Dr. Taylor. read more

While in this Pandemic, I find that grossly irresponsible considering it is a healthcare facility. The doctor told me to my face to not wear a mask because they don't work! Just recently started going to Thrive. Dr John and Dr Allison are amazing! The whole experience has been great in helping my recovery. Having two herniated disc previously as well as a twice separated shoulder broken collar bone and torn pec I though there was no hope but surgery for my shoulder. Until I went to thrive and was informed that the shoulder could be adjusted! I've lived in constant shoulder pain for years now and now I'm getting adjustments twice a week, the adjustment alleviate so much pain! I was driving home after picking my son up from school one October afternoon. This particular week was really tough because I had back to back trips to Fresno and my back, neck and sciatic pain were so intense. My anxiety was also really high and I knew even massage therapy wasn't going to cut it. Months ago, my acupuncturist suggested I see a chiropractor. I never knew this was an option for me since I associated chiropractic care with those who had experienced some type of trauma related accident. I went to good ole' yelp and saw Thrive Chiropractic. I called and shared my story with Dr. Allison and she invited me into the office. I jokingly said to her, "Gee, I wish I could just come in today..." To which she replied, "Ok, are you serious about coming today? Can you be here by 4:45?" And so, I went for my diagnostic exam. Dr. Allison greeted me warmly and had me fill out a comprehensive questionnaire regarding my health and medical history. She used several devices to measure heat and tension and took photos of me to analyze my stature. I loved the way she explained everything to me in such great detail and was patient with all my nerdy questions. Her empathy and willingness to listen to my story were refreshing! Towards the end of my appointment, Dr. John gave me my first adjustment. WOW! I couldn't believe how much tension relief I had in my neck. He told me I might feel a bit "funky" after the first few adjustments and that it was normal but would make sure to check on me in the next day or two. At my follow-up appointment, Dr. Allison invited me into her office and presented an entire PowerPoint presentation which was all about ME and what problem areas were identified by the diagnostic exam. It was so professional and made me feel truly cared for. She then went over what my insurance would cover, how long treatment would be and her recommendations of how frequently I should be adjusted. I have been getting regular adjustments by Dr. John now for the past four months. I have noticed a decrease in my anxiety as well as decreased pain in my back and neck. I know I still have a while to go, but I definitely feel improvement. Each time I see Dr. John, he encourages me and leaves me feeling more positive. I like that we share a common interest in personal development and that he is so willing to share his own past struggles with anxiety. I love that this office is kid-friendly! My 4 year old son has also been adjusted regularly by Dr. Allison. Both doctors play with him and he loves getting adjusted! They even call my son "Doctor" and now he wants to be a chiropractor.
