Quail Ridge has reached out in ways to care for him not found in other facilities I have seen. Strength training exercise, personal grooming and good meals to name a few. They call for notification with any issues that may impact or affect his care. Financial arrangements have been exactly as promised. Certainly, the care is not the same as 24/7 private duty home care but when compared to 36-40K/mo. plus all other expenses of home living, it is a blessing for everyone involved to have so close a facility. His interaction with so many people there has kept him from becoming withdrawn and depressed. At this time, he may be more blessing to others there than they are to him, and he enjoys their company just living without a care or worry from day to day. Billy F

It is $12,000 a month for my parents, and they're constantly asking us to remind them about things to do for my parents. It's just pathetic. This facility is extremely expensive & the care these patients receive is less than par. My eyes have truly been opened to this industry over the last year! Administrators & owners making the big bucks & hire help at low wages. You are better off to just enjoy your savings before you get old & let Medicaid pay for you in a facility. You get no better care here than you do in a government pay facility but they will rob you blind. Expensive with below par care! Makes me sick!!

BEWARE!! My family and I visited StoryPoint about a month ago with my grandmother, and decided this…read morewould be the place for her. Long story short, the facility, which already met her, decided she needed almost more than double the amount of care to the tune of about $4,000 more than what was previously discussed day of move in. There were outstanding circumstances here, however all paperwork was sent to Storypoint 4-5 days in advance of the move. This was all sprung on us, after a 4 hour drive to the facility with movers in tow. After waiting in the "hospitality sweet", for more than 4 hours, we were finally approved to move in. Later in the day, after moving in, we were told we had the incorrect paperwork, and she wouldn't be able to stay the night at the facility. This story continues, and not in a good way, however long story short, we decided to go elsewhere. We decided we needed to go somewhere that had enough staff to facilitate the promises this company makes. To make things sting even better, we asked for our $4000 refund, which was promptly denied. I don't leave many reviews, but this situation deserved it. If you would like to hear more, and are considering this location, feel free to email me as I wish someone had warned me of this place before we wrote the check. Ryannewcomb@me.com

It is comforting to know that she was so well cared for her last year of life. Our Belmont experience started off in such a positive way. The team was outstanding about helping us get mother settled from the West Coast in an emergency situation. They even loaned us furniture for her apartment until her things arrived. Once we were at Belmont memory care, the considerations continued. Mother had unique California natural food preferences and the Kitchen team was super about filling her requests for salads and salmon and vegetables. She loved the food! We cannot thank the memory care team enough. Our mother lived most of her life independently and alone. The memory care activities every day kept her involved. We saw her thrive having people around her and she lost much of her previous fear/anxiety. My heart smiles when I remember the loving hugs that the memory care assistants gave mom. She'd hold her arms up and they would hug her and tell her she was loved. It was beautiful. Her health situation changed as she became prone to falls and broke her hip. The Belmont nursing staff knew how to handle the situation. Many facilities do not want someone who has both dementia and significant physical limitations. The Belmont team and the nursing staff welcomed her back from rehab with open arms. We will always be grateful to them. Speaking medically, the Belmonts in-house doctor - Dr. Randy Villanueva - was the perfect doctor for us. His medical skills, experience with seniors and his compassionate heart are an amazing combination. He is a gift to his patients and their families. We miss our mother immensely, but it is comforting to know that Belmont made her last year the best it could be. The gift of care and kindness was a priceless one.

It had no flavor, seasoning or visual appeal. Elementary school cafeteria food is more appealing and better tasting. For one of the most expensive assisted living communities in Memphis one would think they could afford a decent chef or at least get a school cafeteria line cook to get a more quality end product. They advertise and highly tout while visiting their property that they provide support to residents in this section. This is not the case. They do not ensure residents get to their doctors appointments when the Terrace requires residents must use Terrace transportation. Every department; transportation, nursing and aids all blame the other departments for this failure. It is of upmost importance that these residents make their doctors appointments since most are in the Terrace for medical reasons. Senior management is responsible for this facility and should take responsibility, which they don't. They also "put the blame" on the employees. This is a sure sign of a very weak management team. People DIE when they don't make doctors appointments! It is such an easy fix but obviously no one at this facility cares about the residents for which they are responsible but they sure "sell" their concern for each resident when you are touring the facility. BEWARE when searching for a retirement facility for your loved ones!! Trezevant talks a wonderful game but strikes out on delivery of care and product.

Ongoing staff turnover in all departments. Took weeks and multiple requests for the facility paperwork to get mom set up with the facility physician. Covid outbreak there which developed into pneumonia and hospitalization for mom. In the beginning of her symptoms I asked a nurse if I should bring flu medication and was told no, all medications are ordered and handled by the facility. But no evidence of her getting flu medication before being hospitalized. Weekly mixup with residents clothing. Mom's bathroom was not properly cleaned, and I found her bed without sheets on several occasions. When I would report it to the care staff I was told it was a housekeeping problem. Took months, multiple facility staff requests, and regional office involvement to get the move-in promotion refund that sales offered. Most of the staff were friendly. Office staff would avoid taking calls or responding to email. I fully regret the Avaline experience.
