They have a selection of snacks and beverages available, which was nice, although I do wish they were able to sell alcohol. A beer or glass of wine would have been a great addition to the experience. Overall, it was a unique and enjoyable night out. The atmosphere was great, the movie selection was fun, and I'd definitely go back for another showing.

I agonized a bit - get my Chilanga's huitlacoche huarache - or try the poke? I eventually decided: it's Mother's Day, you can have ALL the things, just like at a buffet! So I went to Island Mike's first. They advertised Broke Da Mouth poke - and I was a little suspicious at first - cuz Island Mike's didn't look like a Hawaii native but a mainlander who spent some time there. BUT... I got my poke "island style" (furikake, sushi rice, and the poke - not lots of distractions like seaweed salad or ginger like in the "mainland style") - and it really was off the hook. Really fresh & delicious and perfectly made. YUM & YUM. $12 for one scoop (the smaller size) & very worth it. Of course I still needed my Chilanga's so then I got the huitlacoche huarache (a vegetarian taste of heaven - shredded lettuce, huitlacoche, Mexican cheese on a huarache (masa dough) & tried the mango passion fruit agua fresca. The huarache is huge and I'd already had the little poke, so I took most of it home to eat later. But it was just as yummy as I remembered. And the agua fresca is amazing. I'll still crave Chilanga's but now I'll crave Island Mike's too. I need to get down here more often because it is a super fun outing that is too good to waste on tourists!

This might be the Millennial in me talking... but there weren't as many photos ops, in my opinion, compared to the other years. There were a few exhibits that I would have liked to see and we signed up for the wait list on the tablets, but it said there were over 100 people waiting, we never got a text back, and then ended up leaving. It seemed like there were a lot of people just waiting around the common areas and I'm assuming it's for those exhibits. On the plus side, it was indeed fun. They serve red and white wine (right under $9), which we ordered and made the trip a blast ;) The exhibits that we did see, especially with the lights and colored yarn, were awesome. I just didn't favor the one in the dark room where you hear a bunch of cars crashing over and over...it got me paranoid... but hey it's art. If you have a couple hours to explore more than just your visual sense then I recommend stripping down and diving into the latest of the Marina's art venues. A few of my favorite exhibits include: "Experiment 2.C" takes you high above the clouds. "We Are All Made of Light" places you deep into space as you may imagine life among the stars to be. "Rainbow Room" allows you to live among the different colors and textures of life. "Where Thoughts Go" provides you with a VR experience of hearing other's intimate thoughts and life experiences and sharing your own before drifting away. The collection of art displayed and your experience with each is immeasurable, unforgettable and definitely worth visiting over and over again. Looking forward to seeing more this.

It was definitely an adventure. I will say however... it was really hard. We couldn't get through anything without a hint . I don't even think I'm bad at escape rooms, it was just really hard. Sydney who was working the manager on site was incredible! She was warm and fun to talk to, and absolutely was the one to make our experience memorable.
