After calling and making sure it was the right place for her, they assured us they could take care of her. We dropped her off and paid for the detox. She was there only a few hours before they sent her to the hospital because they were not able to help her. They absolutely refused to work with us at every step of the way - even though she lives with us and we brought her and all her belongings to the center they refused to release her items to us unless she hand wrote an authorization which she was unable to physically do. We needed to have a notary come to do some paperwork but they refused to give us even a photo copy of her ID or to even send a photo it to the notary so he could verify her identity. Then when we did get her belongings upon her release from the hospital and we got her home, they had failed to put her prescription medications in her things. But upon calling them again several times and asking them to overnight them, once again we were told, "oh we cannot do that, our protocol...". Their "protocol" makes doing anything impossible and whenever you call you are told "we have to email...." or we have to call....". No one can do anything without first checking with someone else. They do not know what they are doing and they definitely do not give any priority or concern for the patient's needs. They do not use any kind of logic or common sense for what the patient needs and rely steadfastly on their "protocol" no matter what the situation is. The director is conveniently never there and this is who they claim they need to contact for everything. It is hard enough dealing with the person and the addiction and when you are trying to get help it is very discouraging when you are met with this kind of unyielding help and support.

From the Bottom of Our Hearts...Thank You…read more Dear Nicole B., Ms. Pat, Daisia, Kristi, James, Damon, and the entire care team, There simply aren't enough words to express the gratitude that David and I feel for each of you. As David's cousin and caretaker, I have spent the past couple of years fighting tirelessly to ensure he received the very best care possible. Like many families, we found ourselves navigating a healthcare system that can sometimes feel overwhelming, all while trying to make the best decisions for someone we love so deeply. David's journey has been anything but easy. After his partial foot amputation, we faced another heartbreaking setback when he suffered a fall that resulted in a broken right hip. It felt like every time we climbed one mountain, another appeared in front of us. Then God answered my prayers. When David arrived at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital, I knew we had found something truly special. From Nicole B. to Ms. Pat, Daisia, Kristi with the Amputee Program, James, and especially our incredible DPT, Damon, each of you has treated David with kindness, dignity, compassion, and genuine care, knowing that he is autistic. Damon, I truly don't know if you'll ever understand the impact you've had on our lives. You haven't just helped David learn to walk again--you've helped give him his confidence, his independence, and his life back. As his caretaker, you've also given me something I hadn't felt in a long time...hope. For the first time in what feels like forever, I can sleep at night knowing David is exactly where he needs to be--in the hands of people who genuinely care about his success and well-being. My shoulders feel lighter because of all of you. Every encouraging word, every therapy session, every smile, every ounce of patience you've shown has made a difference far beyond what you may ever realize. Healthcare is more than medicine. It's compassion. It's believing in someone when they struggle to believe in themselves. It's helping families carry burdens they simply cannot carry alone. That is exactly what each of you has done. Please know that your kindness has not gone unnoticed. You have forever changed our lives, and I will never forget what you've done for David or for me. May God bless each and every one of you for the work you do, the lives you touch, and the hope you give to families like ours every single day. With heartfelt gratitude and love, Samantha "Sam" David's Cousin & Caregiver "To care for one person with compassion is to change an entire family's world."

They ghosted us. We were not given any records to use ourselves to try to appeal. In fact, we were not given a detailed receipt of the services we paid for. The staff at Encompass were great. I was highly disappointed by the empty promises made by management, especially given we were in a moment of crisis in our lives.

They brought him upstairs to CVICU and was cared for in there until his death on July 1 2017. Myself and my family were met by Fernando and Hannah. Then Chey'ne which was pernounced like Shawn. Then there was Heather and Bryan and a few more my memory can't remember. But I want to say that these nurses made our stay there bearable with so much compassion. They were very attentive to our needs but to my husbands needs most of all. I will never forget the many tears I shed by my husbands bedside and a soft hand on my back and shoulder asking me if they could do something for me. Their hugs were so comforting esp Fernando and heather. We were also blesssed with great Dr's that did everything they could for my Jimmy when he got into the ICU. Though they didn't have answers they worked hard to help him. For 6 days the whole staff went above and beyond making us feel like our loved one had the best. Thank you from the Jimmy Page family.
