Extraordinary EEG Tech -- Jessica is a True Gift to Neurology I recently underwent an EEG at The Brain and Spine Center, and I feel incredibly fortunate that Jessica was the technician assigned to my exam. From the moment I met her, it was unmistakably clear that she is meant for this work. Some people are simply born to make a difference in their chosen field -- Jessica is one of those people. Though she is completing her clinical hours and is about my age (24-25), she possesses the natural grace and capability of a seasoned practitioner. When I had an adverse reaction to the strobing lights section of the exam, Jessica's swift response was nothing short of exemplary. She recognized my distress immediately and acted without hesitation, bringing in the doctor who was equally attentive and kind. Because of Jessica's composure and quick thinking, a situation that could have been frightening was instead met with care, reassurance, and professionalism. To Be honest I absolutely stress out thinking about a Dr's visit but this this was was a very pleasant experience considering I'm dealing with what is am. I loved the Dr. He was very attentive, I mean he actually listened to everything I had to say about my neck and head problem which are causing me to have vertigo I have going on (and it was a lot). He asked questions and addressed my questions. He was patient with me and kind and came up with a game plan that will hopefully get me back to where I was before this came on. Everyone at this specialty is very patient -oriented. The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful. They consistently go out of their way to assure that your questions are answered and your concerns addressed. The EMG tech was engaging and made me feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She was extremely pleasant and explained the procedure as she was performing it. Dr Nazir introduced himself and made me feel comfortable throughout the procedure. He is a master at what he does. Brain & Spine Center about 12 years ago was the only place that could figure out what was wrong with me and causing me so much pain. I was misdiagnosed and taken down a rabbit trail by so many. They were able to diagnose me and give me adequate treatment. Using to treat my has been a lifesaver. Dr. Nazir has been the best doctor to work with and Jennifer Reeves is the most caring nurse practitioner I've ever had. She actually listens to my concerns, shows Care and helps me figure out solutions. Not many people have done this in my journey of my physical health. Dr Maddox is extremely attentive to my arthritis and neuropathy as well as my extreme pain that's not always good for me. Her assistant Tina is extremely helpful to me as well as due to my vision limitations she's been a Blessing in disguise The office help is extremely important to me also! I was getting the run around with another doctor and insurance for two weeks on getting a referral to Brain & Spine Specialists. I called B & S and they lead me in the right direction and I had a referral that day and an appointment the next! From the beginning the check on process is super easy , the front office is friendly and informative. I had an early morning appointment and some of the staff were drawing for a raffle. I enjoyed hearing the excitement and being happy for the person who won. I was a little nervous when Dr. Makki moved to another state , but he told me he was putting me one of the best. The office experience was very good and care quality was great. i've never had an EEG on my brain before so that was not a very good experience. Overall, I felt trauma when they flashed the lights in my eyes and it brought back some PTSD that I don't even think I remember really he was scary to me so I didn't have anything to do with the level of care was the type of doctors appointment. My experience with Dr Maddox was great. She listened to what I had to say and met with my requests. I have been going to her for many years. The only problem with this place is that is hard to find a parking spot. I'm glad I had a driver because I would have been very frustrated trying to find a parking place.
